This is fucking lame, I thought he was going to actually be playing sextuplets with one foot, not just 3 sets of doubles with a space in between, which is what this video demonstrates.

If there is a particular technique he's trying to show, he doesn't do so on this video. This is akin to a magician doing a trick and then saying "okay, you do it now", without teaching you the secret. Another example would be doing a drum roll without explaining that the drumsticks need to bounce. I was looking for technique to speed up my feet, maybe this wasn't the intent of the video.

for everyone here saying he is cheating and using a double or slave pedal. look at the pedal. NOT the beater, the pedal. you can see where his foot moves in sync with the bass hit, he's not cheating. Yes he does have a slave pedal, but he's got it clicked out.

u can just untighten the screw on the hi hat so it stays shut without putting ur foot on it, even tho he is just using 1 foot

I just ummm....yeah I just played that....That's def. one pedal. If you have a shitty pedal then i can see where its pretty hard. I have a dw 4000 and its simple. I use to have a silver?(no brand name) pedal with my kit and it sucked. had no rebound. So those of you who thinks he's some kinda magician or whatever he's not....he probably just has a much nicer pedal than you.

I have to master my foot pedal speed and control.

Yours is amazing, I noticed you use a heel toe technique and you also twist your foot into the pedal, I do that to.

Many drummers use this groove, so cheers for posting :)

That doesn't make sense at all. I was sticking up for the guy because people are accusing him of using a "slave" pedal when it's CLEARLY one foot. All I'm saying is it's not fast enough to have to use a slave at all. If you do have to use a slave pedal for speeds like this then it's time go back to your basement and practice. Pay attention next time, asshole. ps, it's not death metal.
