Yeah, firstly, learn the first two layers of the fridrich method, its the most intuitive and efficient way to get them done. After that, learn PLL (permutation of that last layer), and OLL (orientation of the last layer). Also get a loose cube and get used to various finger tricks

Get a Stack Mat (you know, that sport where you stack cups super fast). It's common for speed cubers to own one of these.
