  • Holy shit. This gets me scared every time I watch it...

  • Just reminds me how lucky I am.

  • Damn nature YOU SCARY

  • Thats just amazing...like another comment i saw, im thankful for my totally average body

  • makes me thankful to have been born with an average body

  • well thats a little fucked up

  • Wow. That must be damn scary. I'm very glad to not have that.

  • dude that's scary! basically we could have a exoskeleton. damn still pretty creepy

  • is this a DISEASE or DISORDER?

  • that's soooo scary!! :(

  • That's really sad to have your skin turn to solid bone

  • omg that's scary!

  • i have this disease. the last thing that "people like me" want is your sympathy. we've learned to live with FOP.. it's a part of who we are, but it sure doesn't define us. some of you are extremely immature. dr. kaplan is not useless. because of him, the mutant gene that causes FOP was found a few years ago. FOP is genetic. if you weren't born with it, you can't just randomly get it. keep the rude comments to yourself, thanks.

  • Modern Medicine FTW

  • Im not going to workout anymore....

  • holy shit

  • Truly amazing! Terrible, terrible condition but nonetheless shows us the amazing capabilities of the human body.

  • So we could possibly use those cells to make stemcells, right? I mean if we could figure out how to do that it would be great!

  • holly is my fucking cousin... this is so great she did this

  • Chris Hanson is looking for you mr. lures kids in vans.

  • Probably from water fluoridation, the government puts that poison into your water and your toothpaste.

  • That makes sense.

  • @MuammarAlGathafi

God you're so fucking stupid. It's a genetic disorder. I know things you don't understand leave gaps in your life, but you have no qualifications other than your fear that the governement is controling everyone. Leave that to the paranoid right wingers

  • Dude, I honestly have no idea what you are referring to, I don't remember leaving any comment for you at all. Maybe I've got amnesia and I'm wrong but I really don't remember...lol. I only left a comment for this "carlmiester 3" guy, cause I didn't appreciate his comment, but apparently he is this ghetto dude who got really freaking angry, and keeps stalking me now leaving me all kinds of comments in his weird lingo. :)

  • @samaucla hahaha dude ur so fuckin funny stalking u ? ur stalking me dumb ass -__- i just left my opinion nd outta no where u say im a dumb ass look at u fuckin asshole damn dude get a fuckin life -__- u cant live at ur moms house forever

  • Comment removed

  • cure it already!

  • @HiddenBlackHistory it's not that easy you know

  • what a useless doctor. he was up for the made-for-tv examination scene, but notice how he wasn't treating her or even discussing possible treatment.

  • i was thinking the same thing thought u could just cut it out but then i notice that if they did bones would just grow in there again.

they might have the treatment in the real full clip on tv or somwhere XD

  • I am prone to calcium deposits and had one in my foot awhile back. It was excruciating. I recently learned about this disease while researching my own arthritis. All I can say is I will NEVER bitch and moan about my petty calcium deposits again!

  • dude if scientists can control this disease the people who have it can be like super human so like they could control where the bones can form nd dissolve back t muscle so itll be like a temporary shield O.o

  • you are an idiot!

  • nigguh stfu u got no imagination -__- damn i can already tell ur gnna have a lame ass job like an ice cream man or somethin (x

  • Dude, you are a F. Idiot. This has nothing to do with imagination dumb F. I don't know about you but I'm doing an MD, Phd. But I can see you cleaning toilets with that great imagination of yours.

  • @samaucla dude ur the fuckin idiot fuckin gay ass nerd haha nd its the other way around i can tell ur gnna be washin ppls asses in a retire ment home nd MD Mentally Dumb ? haha wow dude u got problems i suggest u get back t the real world rather than jus sitting on the computer at ur moms house playing world of warcraft or those other games u geeks play nd nigguh if u got a problem see me then id be glad t beat yo lil ass till u bleed u mofo bitch ass punk !

  • Could you please speak english dude, I don't speak ghetto

  • @simplymilad09

    Bio-armor, huh?

Being the nerd I am, that's one of the first things I thought of too.

But these aren't armor segments, They're just ossified lumps that restrict movement.

Also, battle is the last activity someone with F.O.P. should engage in.

  • wow i feel sorry for anyone who has this.. thats crazy muscle tendons turning into bone. NUTS

  • @simplymilad09

ahh, great advantage, an injury results in loss of movement forever .. I'm sure that Gladiator will be able to fight off his competitor with frozen joints.

  • THATS INSANE!!!!!!!!

  • its really hard to believe such disease actually happens. i dont want that to happen to me nor any one. if it happens to me i think i dont want to live ill be si desperate... and i wouldnt know what to do with my life.

i feel so bad for people who have disease like this and i dont want to believe that it is true T_T

  • .............wow. just wow.

  • thats so horrible. i am so glad to be healthy. but, this is so interesting! amazing what our body can do! i hope to go into this kind science as i get older.

  • a guy in my high school had this disease.

  • thank god we are healthy! we should be thanful everyday! i practice jiu jitsu imagine if i couldnt wrestle for fear of this! thank you god!

  • Pretty scary stuff

  • yikes. thats nasty :o

  • That is sad. I really feel bad for them.

  • oh man

  • kids doint do drugs lol

  • this could be forced to soldiers to create a second layer of armour naturally

  • ya exept for the fact that they couldnt move that would work

  • Soldiers who can't move... Brilliant!

  • Serious? This is DEBILITATING!

  • dam thats messed up :(

  • That woman he examined looks anorexic as well...geez.

  • @Razzlewolfflight

Yep. I want to say its bc less muscle and tissue there to be hit and therefore cause more "flare ups", the better?

nudged or pushed, besides just 'hit'.

  • sad

  • i went to high school with her

  • @lordofdogtownign Really?

  • scary

  • ...that is just horrible, i feel so bad for those people who are suffering from FOP...

  • had a neighbor with this by mid age he could not move, laid straight in a wheel chair even his jaw fused, very sad and scary

  • sometimes i wanna just punch god in the face

  • rofl, you should take a biology class or 2 and a little less church. broaden your horizons.

  • you should stop giving people stupid suggestions.

  • so hostile aren't you? i guess ignorance makes one that way.

  • i made a joke, you cried. the only ignorance came from you.

  • lol joke and cried eh? you are blaming a medical disease on god.. i was trying to educate your simple mind :) thank me next time.

  • again, it was a joke. you are obviously simple because you cant figure that out.

  • An argument of religion versus science only takes one person who assumes to "know it all".

  • @JimyRoss

stick withatheism, as it doesn't require you to momentarily shut down your brain in order for it to work.

  • again now and in the future stop giving people stupid suggestions.

  • How horrible

  • goddammit thats sad

  • scary... :(

  • not funny

  • wow

  • That must just suck and I thought anemics had it bad.

  • that just sucks....

  • Very interesting video, I have never heard of this disease before. Best wishes to anyone suffering with this and I really hope science can find a cure or effective treatment for this.

  • @curefantastic lol smart one. all it is is bones growing in your body, there will never be a medicine for it since it's not the kind of diseas you think it is.

  • We're evolving! soon we'll have exoskeletons!

  • bull

  • Fascinating. I hope they find a cure.

  • This is nuts. You'd think having more bones would be a great thing :(

  • Omg I'm scared to get it when I'm older now...

  • @Johnobomb unless you were born with it there's no way you could get it. you would usually show signs between the ages of 1 and 10.

  • @wildstrawberry8 good thing

  • :( woww that is so terrible. It would suck not to be able to do just basic things in fear of this occurring.

  • holy crap..

    O.O

  • wtf when does this program come on!? I wanna watch this!!

  • 10th

  • This sounds absolutely horrible x.x Poor people.

  • Wow this is so sad....never thought a condition like this would exist

  • This is wild....I never knew of such a thing.

  • so sad

  • What a horrible condition. Hopefully science will enable us to correct these conditions soon. Very sad.

  • holy crap.. this is sad crazy... i never thought there was such an condition

  • That is horrible. I feel bad for them. There's a woman who lives near me with that condition....it's really sad.

  • this looks like somthing from the xman is really cool how this happen just feel bad for the people that has to live whit it.
