  • HOW DID U MAKE THIS CONSOLE :D

  • What did you use for the video controller and how much total memory (video+ cpu)?

  • Hi, did you write an OS for this? And how much did it cost to build / where did you get he parts?

  • sry my ignorance.. But isnt it easier just to run on your regular PC in some emmulator ?

  • @aguering where is the fun in that?

  • Where is Clyde?!?

  • Link in the description is not working.

  • Damn! it's a lot of CPU... Do you know about interrupts and code management? I have done a console with only 1 CPU...

  • @mast3rbug Hehe, now I know :-) But 3 years ago I didn't, so I used _delay_us() everywhere where timing was required xD

btw. I lost access to old account so i'm replying from another

  • seems to be running very slow upwards and downwards, anyhow. gj !

  • @vafaneh It's illusion because pixels on TV aren't square, and i didn't compensate this.

  • lol polak

  • God bless open source!

  • polak potrafi ;)

  • and now?

  • Hey! I want the schema! could you send it to me? and the soft to program on the pics ^^

    THanks. Good Work!

  • Great show!

  • Quad Pacman Quad Core proccesor

  • Is your video game console powered by a diesel engine instead of a Power Supply? I kid, I kid.

  • @deusprogrammer :D :D PC with fans was generating that noise...

  • @ mirabilis:

    i think that's a 5 core system:-)

    but it's a nice work!!!

  • its to slow

  • thought you were going to get eaten lol

  • Going up and down is really slow, some ghosts make circles in a weird way (AI issue) like going from left to right all the time

  • Quite impressive!

Do you use some kind of OS/executive, or the game sits on bare silicon?

    Just curious.

  • @kpharck i doubt it goes like this: first the game code is made and compiled with a pc. then it's programmed using a special device (goes to parallel port or usb depending on design) into the chip. it sits in flash memory, which is readable and overwritable

  • @moptim Rrright... I asked about abstraction between game and hardware. Very small systems often directly command bits in hardware registers in assembly from within the application code. Bigger systems allow linking with libraries containing that low-level code. As the power of system grows high-level language like C is possible. Some libraries provide OS - like functionality (tasks,mutexes...) Of course, most of small systems cannot compile for themselves, they are programmed from outside.

  • AI of the ghosts is really bad

  • @mrsoultwister Sure, it's not like it's Half Life :)

  • Where's Clyde?

  • good job

  • dualcore pacman!

  • 0:50 I think the beep is from a computer, so I'm not sure if I believe this

  • @wiz2111 ya

  • wow, how did you make that?

  • How much did it cost to make and what tools did you use?

  • nice!!

  • fantastic... what soundcard does it have, LOL...

  • Which chip were you using and what were you using to generate your chroma signal for color? I've got some 168's but I don't think they are fast enough to generate color without some support circuitry.

    Great job!

  • soshimo: It uses RGB. European TVs have a thing called an SCART connector which allows them to take composite, svideo, component, or RGB input.

  • which is why europe rocks! :D and why I live in UK....

  • Pretty awesome!! Ssllooww... but pretty awesome ;)

  • this is fantastic

  • Great :)

  • how'd you make it?

  • No ładnie kolego z forum :)
