I think if a Quantum Leap movie were to be made, it should be his daughter leaping. I've thought that for years, then Tron comes out and basically had the same premise I had in mind for a QL movie. Despite the weird plot (Princess Di? Really? Not 9/11? Or the earthquake in Haiti?) I did like this. Well done.

Princess Di was and still is a beloved woman and her death was sad, but it doesn't seem like the proper event for a show that hasn't been on the air in nearly 20 years to return.

I LOVE Quantum Leap! That being said, I think this movies plot is ridiculous. Di just died fairly recently. I still have newspaper clippings. This is a very shallow endeavor for a concept as interesting as time travel. Why would I want to watch a movie I already know the ending to. Furthermore, who gives a rats-ass about Princess Di?

I also like the fact that Al is pretty much sams spirit guide... Quantum Leap is a case of packaging religious/occult ideas into science fiction which always makes the best science fiction. To top it off we have this all knowing super computer called ziggy whom is basicaly GOD.or the higer self. Its these sorts of things that make Quantum Leap cool!

I liked Quantum Leap because of the subtle occult nature of the story. Its essentially a man whom travels through different lives. Is this not emblematical of reincarnation and thenconcept of the inner man,. or soul?

@Basiltyne The appeal of QL was that it tackled social issues close to the human heart using the romantic and surreal concept of time travel, very reeminiscent of the film: Somewhere in Time. There is undoubtedly a rebirth or reincarnation theme that pervades the whole series- living out other people's lives as a different person is the penultimate fantasy (the other being reliving your own life again and / altering the past).

I love the new Leap Effect. The starburst in the middle of the figure gave the effect some... oomph (in lieu of a better word) and yet it stays recognizable.
