Beth Davis is very similar to Margarite Terekhov-the famous Soviet and then Russian actress. The latter one is seriously younger, of course, she is from the next generation, but their types are the same.
she seems to very strong and a little attiude like i shouldnt be here and i see the people that i havent seen , but i have more inportant things. she was very rude and snobby .not nice at all
@Kid100JrHolmes Well the whole thing was a surprise that they sprang on her out of the blue. Did you not get that? How would you like it? To go on national television with no advance warning whatsoever, no time to prepare yourself or anything. You think you're having a discussion with colleagues about wardrobe for a film, then in 2 seconds you're being herded on stage in front of TV cameras and a live audience. That would annoy anyone. And on top of that, the host was a dork.
How on earth Ralph edwards ever got anone to actually go ahead with the show amazes me as he was a terrible host, his unproffessional manner made for stomach churning viewing show format good host bad
William Wyler...Bette's lost love..."The lost love of my life" she said...She wanted to marry him, but he married someone else...She REALLY loved him. She speaks often of him in Charlotte Chandler's book...And Chandler interviewed Bette herself so it's my favorite book BY FAR because it's the words straight from Bette's mouth...No sladering from someone who is just BS'ing their way through a book to make money...I highly recomend it to ANY Bette fan =)
Well,. she does look rather bored and you can just tell from the show that she is thinking "this is more than a tad tiresome" by the whole ordeal
Some of the facts of her life are slightly erroneous and she's thinking about her TV movie and not in the mood. "I had just felt as if I'd been to my own funeral!"....heeeheee
I adore her bright talk and humour, but I think it was quite dangerous - how anyone wrote heere - piss her off, she shines a huge authority which causes a kind of poeple's fear from her, I would have fear to talk to her, in spite of I would love to try :-)
They don't make women like that anymore.....

Bette became more attractive the older she got. Some people seem to have faces that suit being older.

Her comments to director William Wyler are so classy and very true. "The Best Years Of Our Lives" is one of the greatest films ever made.

This is hilariously awkward! I love her but wouldn't want to have been in the same room as her! What a cute little outfit too...
