@minonkracer F1 would not go to Road America. Unfortunately it wouldn't meet the safety restrictions. There is not enough runoff area at the exit of most of the turns.

amenities at road america consist of some pole barns and the white barn like structures for check in. Take a look at any race an F1 race is held today. RA would need a huge overhaul.

Loved that track before all the catch fencing and concrete barriers made it impossible to see the cars. I was at that Can Am race in '67 as a ten year old and went to every race until 1980. I've been back, but it's not the same.

great video of the can am cars where you get it from. would love to see more videos of road america before all the catch fencing like how i remebered it.

The fences make for crappy photogenics, but at least there's plenty more legit viewing space. It isn't like the old daze when you had to go creeping through the woods to get to the outside of the carousel to get a decent camera shot.
