The Cowans spent 20+ years, directing the Iowa YMCA Choral Bell Ringers, first as separate boys and girls groups, ending with a combined co-ed group. I was in the group from 1969 to 1974, and watching these videos brought instant tears and laughter. Fran and Marlow took kids from all over central Iowa, taught them how to sing and play all kinds of crazy instruments, but most importantly, their intense love of music. They taught my brother and myself, by true example, to live, laugh, and love

@kkkkwsm It's "Put On Your Old Grey Bonnet" from 1909, by one of America's greatest songwriters, Percy Wenrich. It's an appropriate song here because the lyrics (by Stanley Murphy) are about an old couple celebrating their long marriage.
