ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwfucken scary looking shit man 1 thousand legs or 100 forgot thats fucken nasty i hate thos shit fucks lol
@911650 I agree, these guys are actually quite nice. The way they do away with Nature's dirty work is admirable as well. They may not look cute to some people, but I think they're cool to look at, not to mention useful. Their defense mechanism can be harmful if it gets in the eyes, but it's nothing a little water can't fix.
I had this one millipede at my house thats legs stuck out and it crawled fast! It lived in my house for 2 months hiding! So we bought this really good insectiside and pestiside and sprayed all the vents! Then it came out when i tryed to go to sleep so i yelled and my mom got mad at me because she was asleep but she grabbed the spray and sprayed it! But it was still moving all over theplace like a toddler would! so my mom took a high heel and squashed it! FREAKY!
Huh we have brown millipedes that size in where i live in the Moutains of North Georiga. They will spook you if you see them crawling in the floor in the morning, but you can pick em up and toss em out side. But when you mess with them they let out a musty stink.
God how could she have that held in her hand without screaming my god I have severe phobia against milipeeds and woodlice. I would of been on the floor passed out with shock within 3 2nds
man that shit is nasty look like one of them things that crawl into yo ear and shit man fuck that aint livin no where were them things reside fuck that
i use to watched this program series once called prehistoric park and in one episode, this man went back 300 million or so years ago to a time when scotland was covered in swampy forests and because the oxygen levels was pretty high, insects were pretty big (and i mean BIG.like as big as car or a man) plus I did researce on wikipedia.
i think zoo's are cruel animals shouldn't be kept in cages just so we can look at them. If people want to see animals they should view them in their natural habitat

Cool, iv seen a video of those lemurs rubbing the millipedes all over there body, kinda like a drug, iv seen many millipedes in Mexico but they say there dangerous.

I don't think they do, but when they crawl over your arm it seems that they get used to you and that they recognize you.
Very peaceful mates :)

japkid, Is it the borneo millipede?
It's colorful and has really long legs. I think that's the only milipede species with long legs.
Are you sure it isn't a centipede?
If it really is a milipede, then you shouldn't be scared. Those things are so cute.

allanisfresh 2 years ago
Dunno, but I wouldn't hold that millipede though...or most insects. :(
jagr06 2 years ago
Milipedes are harmless. They are herbavores.
and they are absolutely pathetic in terms of combat with other insects.
WatchCharmedOnline 2 years ago 2
That's not totally true. Some are omnivorous and even carnivorous.
And in terms of combat, yes. The only thing some can do is release those secretions and some emit a hydrogen cyanide gas.
