say bruh, i been playin keys fo a lil while now, i can do tha first run startin wit ma pinky but its not clean, how can i comfortably lead with my ring finger? its a big stretch n i cnt git to tha nxt note fast enough
Sounds great. Thanks for the applications to actual songs. I would also be helpful if you explained and showed your voicings. Even giving the chord symbols would be cool. For example the first two chords in the 7-3-6 progression are, I think,
wow your really good bro. Hey dide if you dont mind can you acutally do the first lick you did again but break it down..which fingers you use to tunr over? Thanks alot and GOD BLESS
tx for sharing, slight critism, can't see fingering all that well but I know the notes involved Dflat. overhead shot of the keyboard would be better, tx again
plz send me more video's plz this really is helpful and can you show me how you guys run those licks with the right hand i call them triples or doubles when you are running with the right hand
great runs brother... but is it possible to place the camera on top just above you and not beside you so that we can have a closer look on your amazing stimulating firgers.
My brother...thanks for blessing us all with this knowledge. I am a gospel keyboardist who's up and comin. I dont know much as yet, but it is guys like u that is getting me where I need to be. I will follow your music. God bless and may his richest blessings be added to ur life for ur kindness bro
Thanks for sharing these runs. But I was wondering if you could post a video that explained what chord progressions are. I have heard that it is very difficult to explain without a music theory lesson.
Kevin, I really like your style of teaching. I came across your clip because, I am a former blues/jazz singer who recently started singing gospel. I look forward to viewing more of your clips as they are really helpful to the novice or accomplished musician. God Bless You!
Man you are the greatest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have watched many videos and yours is truly a blessing from God. I love you keep up the good work. You are the best
*mouth drops* LOL.. i can play but yes, when my friends start running, I'm kinda like, ummm LOL... i normally arpeggiate chords fast.. it sounds like a run, but thanks for the video!
i actually cover a few chords and transitions of 'blessed assurance' throughout the dvd. i tried to cover some traditional songs as well as contemporary songs. i don't actually teach full songs as i teach techniques and theoretical approaches to make songs really stand out!!!
KC. Man you've helped me so much. I'm just a beginner, but you've made it a bit easier for me. You think you could post a vid with the breakdown of the 7-3-6 progression...or send me the notes..your fingers move so fast..LOL! Thanks
bruv,I play triads and have been suffering the triads methods and just can't get that gospel/jazzy feel to my playing.I dont care what people say, but That Gospel flavour moves people, especially when I try and play in our small church with my triads, its like people are not into Worshipping, but when another bruva comes to play even I feel like Wow, the thing is that here in the U.K no one has time to be teaching, yeah, its like that with other commitments, so is there a way you can guide me?
btw these same runs he is demonstrating here could also be used on a ii-V-i in a minor key, or any time you have a ii7(b5)-V(alt) kind of progression.
Good work my man. Be blessed.
