  • niceeeee, it looks and sounds amazing. if your gunna change the pickups, i think you should throw some emg's on that weapon. how much did it cost to make it? ive always wanted to build my own axe

  • if ur guna have a bad ass metal guitar, play some bad ass metal on it u poser!!!

  • Your are a pretty good craftsman. By pretty good i mean incredible.

  • imo you could use a lil more treble, but i like the guitar

  • BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i would say keep the pick up. sweet guitar und it was almost free lol^^

  • I'm very impressed :) Good job! I want a homemade flying V guitar! but I'd like a Gibson style body

  • Love the bevels dude. howd you do them?

  • hey man, thats very cool =) i build one guitar too, its a flying v. can you visit my channel to see it too? bye

  • but does it blend?

  • Damn you should make me one! That was awesome!

  • Even though the sound through the camera gets a bit distorted, you can easily understand that this guitar has a more than decent tone! Great job done! Congrats! ^^

  • Sounds AWESOME!

  • dude... i fucking love you.

  • Bad ass guitar, I envy you, I think you should go for The Emg 81 X, you will never want to put that beast down after that :)

  • amazing job building that mydude :D

i see ur lookin to replace the pickup...that is definitely a metal guitar, so a lundgren m6 or a bare nuckle warpig would be great....

  • its such a nice metal guitar and ur playing bluesy crap :/ where s the fucking thrash dude :D

  • How much would you sell that for? :D

  • That thing is HUUUGE!! Props!!

  • how in the bloody fuck did you make it to work??!??!?!?!

  • Fuck, great guitar, what wood did u use?

  • 7 ppl dont think that this guitar i homemade

  • SEND ME THE PLANS PLEASE IM REALLY WANTING TO BUILD A BODY LIKE THAT

  • sounds really thin............ almost like plywood.

plywood + bolt-on-neck (but set in) + stainless steel all over............ clearly you don't understand woodworking either.

    learn how to play too!

  • That a nice sounding guitar dude but dont take it as an offence, but ur right hand technik is very wrong, u should try to play less with ur arm but with your wrists, trust me ur right looks very tense, cheers dude keep playing

  • 00:31

    that's a G chord?

  • @unofighters. - yes. Thumb takes care of the G on the third fret and mutes the A. Hendrix used this technique

  • @OneHeartWay96 That seems very impractical to do when everything else you were playing was barre chords. Learn about the economy of motion.

  • @OneHeartWay96 Dude i completely support you man. Everyone throws you shit for no reason and you're totally cool. Honestly? I can't build a guitar, and you did it really well, i would have no reason to insult you.

  • @OneHeartWay96 Also, i think your pretty good at the guitar and can play however the hell you want. Not how others are telling you how.

  • @unofighters g-7

  • good job however if you love george lynchs tone like i do you could upgrade to seymour duncan screamin demon pick ups, thats georges signature pick up line

  • your guitar looks really nice! good job on building it

  • the tone is too low, the chords are good but I can't hear your riffs. Or maybe there's too much reverb? Maybe it's the camera. I don't know but something isn't transferring well.

  • esta muy buena pero le hubieras puesto dos humbuckers o de a minimo una single coil aparte de la hum q trae pero el modelo esta bastante chido

  • what woods didja use?

  • I second guitardudes question! I was lookin at how to paint a guitar and now im lookin at building em

  • I put an invader in the bridge of my B.C.Rich KKV and it sounds spectacular. I love it for D standard and Drop C. It actually forces you to turn your gain down, I had to on my Boss Metal Zone. It is almost like an active pickup.

  • awesome guitar i was thinking of making my own guitar how much did it cost ya to make that?

  • betcha get great sound in that wood room

  • it works just great! :o i was expecting it to sound like an..dunno...broken engine or best case scenario an bass :)) but its cool actually

  • what would you say for a basswood body guitar a seymour duncan distortion or a invader

  • u were doin good but one pat ruwend it

  • are your pick ups in the wrong spot or something?

  • You've probably been asked this a ton, but what kind of wood did you use on the body? I must admit I'm pretty inspired, wouldn't mind making one of my own :)

  • well all I have to say about your pick up selection is that you should get the Invader. I hve heard some good things about both the action on it and the overall tone quality of the pick up. Let me know what you think. Again, mostly its just all about your preference in your tones

  • I think i want you to make a replica!

  • Looks and sounds awsome!

  • thats one nice guitar man i tryed doing a home made guitar ones but i just bort a new one it sounds great the one i tryed doing is just in my room stuck on the wall lol

  • thats one of the coolest guitars ive ever seen

  • what kit did u use to build it?

  • @abcdog350... watch my other video of how i built it, and the other of it since it has been refinished... i did not use any kit, the body was completely freehanded and the neck is a reconstruction of a dean neck.

  • @abcdog350 he didnt use a kit...he builtit himself from scratch -wath other vid of the making

  • nice guitar, but you should lay off the power chords a lil, lol. I like the presentation of the guitar, and the way you used the diamond plate, i like the white finish you used, its simple but bold. Nice job!

  • Cool looking guitar. Saw the previous video.

I just can't hear it clearly to figure out how good it sound.

  • @Fanatical86... i just recently made a video of it now that is is refinished... check it out, i talk about it the first half of the video and then second half i play it much clearer than this video. Thanks!

  • does it matter what amp u ave or will sound the same either way?

  • @sk8ensam Are you new to guitars? Using different amplifiers, body woods, pick ups, etc. will affect your tone.

  • Amazing looking V, man.

    Very impressive.

  • what pickups are those and nice job saw the other vid

  • Gj great work. But i think you should try to use EMG active pick-up's for this guitar. they should give readable sound, without of bloom.

  • good job

  • why only one humbucker?

  • dude, that thing sounds amazing. nice job

  • cool

  • fricken nice

  • is it weird that i knew it was stained by the second chord. lol.

  • ha everyone says that, i just made all that up on the spot, i dont even like stained that much.

  • @OneHeartWay96 lol yeah it just sounds like one of the songs. but its a nice guitar. i made a guitar myself. it was in the shape of a puzzle piece.

  • @ModxMovement does it matter what kind of amp u have or will it saound the same?

  • @ModxMovement Stained might not be metal but it is cool by my book. And no it is not weird. :P

  • dude i just watched you build this i thought it was cool but it might sound... iffy... but i was wrong! lol i'd pay you 650 for that it's frikin shweet

  • if i where you i would have put an STRATOCASTER input onto the guitar instead of that who are peaking straight up... but the guitar is still AWESOME!

  • hey dude everithing its ok... i think the only problem are the pickups... get som dimarzio or EMG!!!

  • it is a dimarzio

  • then change your amp....

  • and your better at BOTH?

  • Dude, thats actually a really good riff. It would even be crazier if you put like a really good solo behind it.

  • u suck playing that guitar

  • get some blackouts xD

  • were did u learn to make guitars? cuz if i learned itd be great :D

  • how much did it cost to make this

  • what kind of distortion did you use?

  • Get an Duncan Invader, they're fucking great.

  • How do those compare to the Duncan Distortion?

  • The SH-6?

  • They're fairly comparable but I'd say the Invader has got a little more crunch. It's personnal prefences. (It looks badass too xD)

  • anyone know wer i can get some extremely high quality wood to craft a new beast

  • Im sure that ur job worth every second... but you should work on your left hand friend... Try to make some exercises like taking the intro of knocking on heavens door (by gnr)

  • great job dude it looks brilliant ! Just ignore the cretinous low life idiots that posted negative comments. Anybody that has built their own guitar will praise the kudos and anyone that hasn't has absolutely no right to criticise you. Respect man !!

  • @Devonator- Im Sure Jealous,lol

  • paint job is superb amazing job man ;)

  • Great guitar man, considering it's your first try.I would prefer it to bee 2 pick up guitar, maybe with active circuit.but surely is cool also like this.

And to test a guitar,is not important how cool is the guitar player, the sound is cool even when you try just a power chord ^_^

  • Sounds great but try to tuck your guitar cord through your strap before you plug it in....help prevent accidents.

  • you can sure build guitars....now you just needa learn how to play em!

  • @3chanmoo Your a douche bag....The kid plays better than your mom does on skin flute! and she's good, just ask your friends!!

  • i think for the string through body part should have been a v it just look weird with six holes in line on a v shoape but orhter wise awesome guitar i would buy one if u ever made more like that

  • i agree... i actually just repainted it yesterday, this time with real high quality automotive paint. i ripped it apart again to refinish it now several months ago, so i have some surprises for everyone, i have a new video coming soon.

  • u should start a company and destrroy gibson so u can sell all those kick ass guitars all cheap!

  • imagine be like i like that and make your own every time you want a new guitar that would kick ass try an les paul from scratch

  • yay, you can play power chords on a custom made guitar....anyways, i watched the other video on how you made it. its not too bad.

  • @Devonator

    jealous are we?

  • ok there is no reason to get ugly here... i think you're a little out of line to insult something that i completely built from nothing, and then compare it to you LTDs... of course, i hope your LTDs are nicer, as they should be, however, there is nothing shitty about my guitar, and until you build your own i would suggest you rethink some of the things you post.

  • @OneHeartWay96 my first comment was fine. then someone bitched me out about haw i am "jealous" of you guitar. i have no reason to be jealous of that.

  • well thats fine, but calling it cheap garbage, saying it has a shitty paint job is completely over the edge.

  • man you can say me exactly what fliying v it's ?

  • a flying v is the body. its got the body with the symmetrical v shape.

  • i would buy one they are epic

  • is it a mahogany body guitar

  • rig a EMG 81 in that.. but that would take to much work.

  • I think that pickup sounds good, if it is a dmarzio it cant go wrong , you have dial in the amp , the guitar is sick looking! realy good job an that!

  • im building one almost lkike that one 5 star

  • i justa passed out

  • I normally like V's but this one is stunning!! 5 stars.

  • How much did it cost you to make that?

  • dude, thats amazing how you did that

  • LOTS of time and patience... check out my other video of how i built it.

  • with all honesty, that is THE COOLEST home made guitat ive ever seen... holy shit man thats a peice of work great job!

  • I REALLY LIKED THE SOUND OF PICKUP...

  • cords at the start sound like "staind, its been a while "

  • i thought it sounded like "outside".

  • did you use {2pack} to paint this? cuz i relly dont know if i sould use {2pack} or not

  • what is 2pack?

  • Add a seymour Duncan pickup

  • which one? i'm thinking duncan distortion, or the JB. i'd love to put in a blackout metal but i don't wanna pay for it

  • holy cow man duncan blackout metals are so worth it tho dude i mean i love em so much

  • thats what i'd really like, i'm looking on ebay, i only need one, so i'll spend the extra money over any other good passive. how do the blackouts compare to the ducan distortions?

  • hhhmmmm its tough to say really depends on your style if you like soloing a lot and have more of a classic led zep feel to you metal almost like you run your solos off of a bluesy type scale then i would say blackouts. if you want more gain and more of a chugging sound then pick the distortions. both are great for lead and rythm but the blackouts almost seem like they need a little bit more gain on the amp to sound like the distortions, which i think was the point when they were made

  • really??? thats completely opposite than everything i've heard about the blackouts. all the reviews and forums are saying that the blackouts are just brutal, and sound heavier than anything. now i'm not sure what to think.

  • oh no ya man they're brutal as hell like a punch in the face i was just saying in comparisone to each other not to other pickups ya they kill everything i mean to me they even take emg customs like alexi laihos series, not even close just beats everything. but when you compare the two together i would say the distortions are better (for me at least) they are the best out there no question about it.

  • Emg 81. cant go wrong with that pickup

  • i love talking pickups with people... i'm not a big fan of EMG, i'm big on having passive pickups, i just feel you can get so much more out of them tone wise... although i'm really looking into the active duncan blackouts.

  • thing is boss

  • homemade or custum guitars always sound a lot better that like guitars you get from like Guitar Center

  • haha the beginning is "outside" by staind.

  • Try to make one Black, With EMG 81/85 and a good Floyd Bridge ( gotoh or Original Floyd ). Only 1 Dimarzio : ( I rly dont like it ... Just like the Alexi's Flying V ( lol the clean sucks ! ). BUT its awesome !

  • try a dimarzio x2n, they have such a fuller sound

  • Hey Dude...Why Not U Open A Big Guitar Company...U Will Be Fuckin Rich Man Neither To Be A Rockstar...Bye The Way U R Fucking Genius To Make A Cool Guitar Like That...

  • it sounds great

  • nice! how much did it cost you, and could you make a tutorial on how to make your own guitar?

  • lol ive got plenty of those random riffs that change every time i play them too haha know exactly what youre talkin bout man!!

  • get better pickups otherwise a very well put togeather guitar i have to give you credit from making it out of plywood

  • Outside by staind? ^^

  • Hey, I accidentally posted using my brothers account 666youthoftoday666. What pickups are you running through that?

  • Very nice!! It could deffidently use some new pickup's though, and maybe a... Khaler whammy bar. NOT A FLOYD ROSE WHATEVER YOU DO THOUGH!!!!!

  • i'd go with the orginal floyd, but they're sooo expensive, not the "licensed under floyd" i like the khaler trem system, they're effortless to use but i'm a string bender, which is the downfall for kahler. you always have to dive bomb after any kind of bending to make them go back in tune.

  • True I know exactly what you mean. And I am a string bender myself, but none the less I like some whammy now, & then.

  • theres a few videos on here that put that myth to rest.. im guessing you got that from dmetalguitars videos or whatever his name is... imo kahler is supirior to floyd in every way, but good luck finding a new usa guitar wit ha kahler thats not 1700 or higher... oh and my opinion if you havent changed your PUs yeat, go with the distortions or maybe full shreds... invaders sound like elephant ass to me.. to muddy in the lower end for such a hot pickup

  • yeah i tired out the invaders in a jackon warrior and i hated the sound, like you said very muddy and unclear. i like the distortions... have you heard the dimarzio dactivator or deactivator x yet? i almost think i'm leaning towwards those now, they're very high output and super clear, and sound amazing clean.

  • ya i had a buddy who had those in an ibanez iceman, and they sounded great, then he sold it and got a checter c-7 hellraiser with EMGs... downgrade in sound to my ears, the emgs were more "brutal" but the dimarzios had way more depth and personalit

  • how much money did you spent making that guitar?

  • how much did it cost you to make it?

  • 10 for the wood, 15 for paint, 10 for the ivory nut, 5 for bondo, and 8 for stings. i think thats it... so around 50 bucks

  • Hey dude, i watched the video of the making of this guitar, and now i watched the playing of it. And it sounds awesome dude. Im surprised that bolt on gives such a good sustain. I know you glued it and made it a set neck, but as it was never intended for that, im surprised at how well it holds such sustain like that. Impressive is all I have to say now. Nice one dude. XD

  • Comment removed

  • ill reccomend the dimarzio d activator X because my friend got em and they sound FANTASTIC. Not too much gain, nice n bassy, dynamic mids and the highs are good but not "twangy"

  • i've been thinking about putting those in my brian moore. can you coil tap those?

  • yup, but if u want something cheaper there's always the coil tap-able GFS Power Rails. I think their Crunchy Rails are like X2Ns and the Power Rails are basically D Activator Xs. I've been looking to get those since im poor lol

  • nah i have tried GFS pickups many times because they are cheaper and suppose to be good. But the quality is no way that of seymour duncans etc.....There is such a noticeable difference i took out the GFS pickups a week after i got them. So disappointed in that company

  • so did u take a bolt on and just glue it together, an that made a set neck?

  • yup... the functionality is still the same, the trus rod still adjusts the neck as it should. the sustain on the guitar is INCREDIBLE!!! i think partly because the neck is set, and because i have the pickups mounted directly to the wood (no springs or adjustment).

  • nice, just like EVH!

  • get a seymour duncan Dimebucker, made for metal, designed by Dimebag himself

  • dimarzio super distortions ace for metal like maiden and priest, or deactivators, good for more aggressive metal like slayer all that remains and such, but its really good for harmonies and harmonics, i dont like active pickups or seymour duncans i have dimarzios in all my guitars, lots of pickups for every tone

  • a little rough sounding but great job :)

  • even my telecaster is better

  • i'm in D standard, full step down.

  • What type of wood did you use?

  • do you make customs for people?lol

  • good work, but I agree with you. the DiMarzio isn't the best for metal. I would replace it with a Seymour Duncan Jb. Warm end evil sound, very crunchy and very high output! Check it out! However, great work.

  • I would recommend the DActivators (DiMarzio) they have really warm yet tight and aggressive Sound, definately the best PUs Ive ever used.

Seymour Duncans are for PUSSIES ;-)

  • Emg's and blackouts are both sweet, but active pickups are a bit of a pain. I would go with a dimarzio deactivator. They sound like actives and have obscene amounts of output, but you don't need the batteries.
