@namenloserohnename Wow, you Beatles fans are really touchy. I even stated my opinion in a very non-offensive way. Would´ve been different if I had come here bashing the Beatles and putting everybody down. Instead I just politely said what I thought. It can´t be that bad.
On October 9th we will all watch "Imagine" in honor of the greatest singer ever's birthday. Let's give him the best birthday present ever: the highest viewed video on YouTube!! Let's give him what he deserves and what Justin Bieber does not deserve to have!
Copy and paste to all John lennon/beatles videos and all music videos let's get this noticed quickly!
I don't know why i'm bringing this up here, but this song makes me feel i should. I had such a great childhood, with a brother, father, and mother who loved me, and it makes me feel so lucky! I just wish the same kind of happiness on everyone else! Peace and Love!
also this is made of two different takes one iss sped up in a lower ket the other one in a higher key and slowed down the cut is right at the second verse :58
@jemmytaveras John Lennon is dead. how can we ask him? George Harrison is dead too. only Richard Starky and Paul McCartney are alive still. Richard Starky is Ringo Starr by the way.
@amberrushing24 It's definitely Cranberry Sauce. Wear headphones and listen to the ending from a high-quality source (e.g. the CD...not a horribly compressed Youtube video). You'll hear the "s" sound of the ce in "sauCE."
On July 30th 2011 view every Beatles video you can , and make sure you like it too.
This will be national Beatles day.blast their music, sing their songs, do everything to celebrate! Music today is junk, auto-tunes, and not their real voices example: Justin Beiber, and many more. More kids should listen to music like this, real music. Agreed? Thumbs up so everyone can see, and please repost to every Beatles video!!
I wish i could go back in time and smack the producer who made this and tell him. "don't make it shity! grab a kaleidoscope camera get the beetles high and prop a set of a underwater sky city strawberry utopia" but my time-machine broke (ps dont do drugs)
Another genius song by John. A classic. I makes me happy to see my 10 yr old son listen to this and sing it. I did the same in '68. Of course, back then the Beatles were gods. But who directed this video? Looks horrible. Must have been Paul. Don't get me wrong. He had lots of talent, but directing videos or film was not his strong point. Take care all and enjoy the music.
I have to say, it is cranberry sauce, after listening to this song so many times. You kind of have to hear it the right way. But it does sound a lot like, I buried paul. Actually I have think that Panic at the Disco was making fun of this in one of their songs. I know a lot of people are gonna flame me for saying that. But at the end of one of their songs, it seems as though they change the entire meaning of it with the sound at the end of their song.
@KnoxAngel Its found on the "runoff" track on the vinyl album. When played forwards " I buried Paul" is clearly heard. You can here it in the last 5 seconds of this track. There were rumours around at the time Sgt Peppers Band album was released that Paul Mc Cartney had been killed in a car accident. If you turn the front cover of Sgt Peppers upside down you see the words are numbers. The numbers were the telephone number to the London Morgue..
@KnoxAngel You have to wait a long ass time. The music stops, then start again with this weird ass trippy shit. Then you have to listen and you can hear him faintly say whatever you want to believe he says
@KnoxAngel i was looking for that too! i watched the Paul McCartney Really Is Dead Movie and it said that John says "i buried paul" i dont believe it thoughh.
@jemmytaveras theres an urban legend that Paul McCartney died in 1966 & was replaced by a lookalike, the Abbey Road cover didnt help either, people took it as John Lennon being the priest because he was wearing all white, Ringo Starr being the Mourner cuz of all black, George Harrison being the gravedigger being in jeans, and Paul McCartney being dead because he wasnt wearing any shoes... and also if you focus on the final lyrics, i found out you can either hear I buried Paul or Cranberry sauce
@jemmytaveras0:15 - a car to paul's head; "strawberry fields forever. nothing is real" reversed: we'll sing it man, we'll be reverese"; "i buried paul"; I want to believe!
@jemmytaveras Yeah unfortunately he's still alive, IDK about kicking, yeah a world where Lennon gets taken in 1980, Harrison in 2001&the doosh McCartney remains-God moves in mysterious ways
@jemmytaveras there's a conspiracy theory that he's actually dead. Notice on the Let It Be album how he is the only one with a red background, and on Abbey Road he is barefoot, and its said that the dead walk with no shoes.
@jemmytaveras I'm going to see Paul later this month, I'll see if I can get close enough to poke him and see if he's alive or just top-notch animatronics.
i remember it well. dick asks some of the kids what they thought. one straight laced kid was like "umm that was weird". and he asks another kinda scruffy lookin kid what he thought and he was like "that was AWESOME!!" and thats pretty much what everyone else thought.
well this scared me right now... i always though it of being Strawberry fields... not this... lol great song and video eventhough the video scares me XD
I agree with Skytroop, because I only remember seeing this video on the Ed Sullivan Show, and seeing The Beatles sporting fascial hair for the first time.
I also want to add that I remember seeing the video for "Penny Lane" later on the same Ed Sullivan broadcast, since it is the B-side of "Strawberry Fields".
well it can Be, maybe the the first Time that video was Played was on the Ed Sullivan Show, but the American Bandstand Show that I Saw it had this song in ti =)
@RICH020669 ....It's been two years since I commented on this video!...almost forgot about it!...lol......Technically, yes, according to The Beatles, George Martin, Brian Epstein and EMI when released. However, many deejays were promoting "Strawberry Fields" as the A-side, as I did. Others promoted "Penny Lane" as the A-side. Guess it was a matter of personal preference.
@hoghead571 You should see the comments the audience made. "Were now as bad as The Monkees", "reminded me of Hollywood 100 years ago", "they change their hairstyles", "went out on the twist", "girl's music" etc.
this song made its premier on American Bandstand. Dick Clark asked the audience about the Beatles. Most said that they were old and tired until they saw this video. I saw the reaction of the crowd. It pretty much blew their minds. A bunch of straight laced 60's kids, it shocked the hell out of them. Find the whole reel.
The reaction is the reason I wanted to watch, it's hilarious because one kid thought it was "weird" while the other thought it was "great." And I pretty much think that summed up the rest of the sixties.
@Skytroop This along with Penny Lane were originally broadcast in the US on 25 February 1967, on the variety show The Hollywood Palace, with actor Van Johnson as host.
The short film for Paperback Writer was debut on The Ed Sullivan Show.
