Ray Brown was a great friend to UK bassist Len Skeat..another great friend.

The tune is "I want to be happy " at a frenetic tempo. Herb cannot deny his western-picking upbringing in his style : the mandolin style is there.

@maxswing78 Grazie ma siamo in pochi a pensarla così purtroppo. Puoi studiare una vita , ma lo swing se non l'hai dalla nascita e sen lo pratichi nella maniera giusta non si potrà mai avere. Oggi giorno grandi pattern e migliaia di note senza alcun senso. Così non è Jazz ma forse altra ottima musica. Ciao!!!!

Barney Kessel in un intervista del 1990 diceva che un tempo il jazz serviva anche a far ballare la gente.Oggi,cito testuale,"e molto difficile ballare in 5/4,molte persone si sono ammazzate provandoci,swingare non fa piu tendenza.
