Well, 2006 was a rather weak Year only a few countries like; Romania, Ukraine, Ireland, Finland and Norway stood out as awesome for me =)

As I know Turkey is very good on music. they have nice different taste. They don't need to show sexuality or whatever. They should produce their own rythm with English lyrics so they can reach more people. I was in Turkey in 2006. they were greatly nice people.
