The gameplay is just bad. Most of the time you're just watching the character go around while you do nothing. The most you do is press A to AUTOMATICALLY KILL things. Yeah, AUTOMATICALLY.

What a game. Not to mention the absolutely faaaaaaaaaaantastic digging levels. Some of the worst segments in any video game ever.

I never trust review sites for Sonic games. Or most any game for that matter. I've said this many times: the only BAD 3D Sonic game was '06, and debatably Shadow and Heroes. All the others were at least average. SA1: 88 SA2: 89 SH: 74 ShTH: 53 (average from about 30 - 80) '06: 45 SU360: 60 SUWii: 66 The two Sonic Unleashed titles only got major bashing because of the werehog. If that wasn't in, I could see it getting at least an 80. Yeah, all bad. Mmhm. Go back to Halo and GTA.

Mmm... The main thing I hate about the Sonic fanbase is that if you like certain games, mainly the 3D ones, you get bitched at.

Bottom line: The Sonic fanbase is one of, if not THE, most opinionated fanbase of a video game franchise out there. I enjoyed every Sonic game I played, save for Drift 1&2, Blast, Labriynth, and Chronicles. I haven't played '06 or the Rivals series. Does that make me a bad Sonic fan if I liked the 3D games? Hell no.

No, you're fucking stupid for liking pieces of shit. Walking at 3 miles an hour and then jumping on a rail or conveyor belt and putting down the controller for 30 seconds and watching some loops and flips doesn't make for a good game.

Jumping in the air within 20 ft of an enemy and pressing A to have everything done automatically for you doesn't make for a good game.

1) You forgot Sonic and the Secret Rings and Sonic and the Black Knight, possibly two of the biggest turds in the Sonic series aside from Sonic 06.

2) Sonic Unleashed was awful. The controls were horrible, and the nighttime stages were 30 minutes of button mashing each.

@Clbull118 I'm not sure what version you're talking about, but for the HD version, the daytime stages were fun. The controls were fine, although they could have been better, just don't hold down boost all the time. Everything else sucked though, in particular the hub stages and medallion collecting.

Lava Reef, pretty tough level. It has some of my favorite music. Hydro City, Ice Cap, and Lava Reef (First Act) are my favorite songs in Sonic 3 and Knuckles! ^_^ Nice Walkthrough, your almost done! :O

I think it is because Act 2 of Lava Reef is so different from the first. The other one it is hot and red, and this one it looks all cool and blue. To reflect that the music went from fast, to slow.
