  • At 33:10 I saw that video

  • There is a time lapse of the plane ummmmm.... Getting out of the water

  • But the luggage

  • Thats what happens when you fly US Airlines lol please come again

  • Those poor geese... <3

  • O_Othat landing was incredible!!!!!!

  • the APU is an emergency generator :D good joke haha

  • "Test engines using frozen bird carcasses" (36:30). That's wrong. The US has been doing bird strike tests for years; when the UK started trying it, every single engine failed. They finally figured out they needed to thaw the bird. 1) Frozen birds are too hard, they'll ruin any engine, and 2) frozen birds don't fly.

  • I love how at 12:26 the plane's just like, "It's okay guys! Planes can't get sick from dirty river water. I'm just going for a little swim. *Floats on down the river happily humming*"

  • thanks aerocrasher, you da man

  • WHO CARES ABOUT THER BIRDS? THE PEOPLE LIVED.

  • "The engine of an MD-10 ..."

its awkward that they showed a video of a T-154... woops!

  • @whostolemyTV nah man the british one is golden

  • the film ended after the touchdown in hudson river, the rest is a weak attempt by national geogrphic to make the film interesting and long.

  • i don't get why he said cactus not us airways?

Because "Cactus" is the call sign U.S. Airways.

  • this is the latest plane crush in the history of airplane commercials right?

  • This is incredible.

  • @jessecruzu your welcome ;)

  • Thanks for uploading this in HD!

  • does anybody know the name of the music which plays at 42:20 min. in the background

    thanks for the video!!

  • You should see how many people at my school want to wipe out all of the same kind of birds from the video. They say that they should stay in Canada and not go into the United States. According to them, the migrating geese are illegal immigrants that should stay out of the country. Also they hate how geese attack people even though the birds attacked them because they thought that those people were threatening them, not attacking them without a good reason.

  • i dont think it serve as a good "boat" if that time flying was a heavier aircraft like A330/A340.

i think the best way to land on river is like the way of ethiopian B767 - the wing hits the water first so that the fuselage can break apart and thus the passengers can get outside of the cabin and not been trapped.

  • I think this is the first time I had really seen or heard of twitter and seeing twitter being used to report breaking news.

  • poor fuckin' birds.

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!

  • @Dalekfans your welcome!

  • Man that's really sad. We kill birds because they fly. Its just like going out and killing sharks because they attacked a swimmer. Its their natural environment. I am a commercial pilot and am aware of the problem with bird strikes but I honestly believe it is wrong to just go around killing animals because they get in their way of our daily lives as if their lives are worthless.

  • @HDaviator yeah, we shouldn't be messing with them in the first place!

  • @HDaviator Well if ur in the pilot industry u should realize, you are going so fast you cant move out of the way if you dont see them in time so... its not really your fault if u beat a bird.

  • @Silverpaw800

There is no such thing as a "Pilot Industry". And you are right, usually you can't maneuver the aircraft in time but that is not what I am saying. The government goes out of their way, to kill harmless birds which species didn't even have anything to do with the crash of the aircraft. It is just sad and should be criticized but nobody gives a damn. BTW, there is a difference between crashing into a bird in-flight and beating a bird. If you beat an animal, then that is a sick act.

  • @HDaviator ???

  • @HDaviator

Its not like their life is worthless. Is that human life is worth more.

  • @serialkiller1990

Why is it worth more to you?

  • @HDaviator

Lol the first thing I thought when I heard about the "bird strike with no loss of life" I was like, "WHAT ABOUT THE POOR GEESE!?"

  • they are called "angry birds" haha

  • These pilot's are heroes!!

  • @Skemmy2011 yeah

  • @Skemmy2011 These pilots took there training for real and they didn't give up when the emergency happened because they had the skill they knew they did. most pilots would try there best to do what these pilots have.

  • YAY NEW EPISODES :)

  • @ReCkLeSsErr0r yeah!

  • nothing looks better than this piece! NTSB this time work with happy spirit.

  • @equn yea

  • this one works perfect

  • @austrian19421 Yay!
