The picture at 01.30 from 'Strand magazine' 1895, is captioned in many places as being 'The Cardiff Giant', which is an infamous fake.

I guess the giant redwoods trees would be fiction if there was not some still standing? There are some very small peoples in the world so I assume that there very well could have been some very large people as well. @ColonelAllan the majority of the claims could be dismissed as exaggerated. There are still tons of exaggerated claims of giants today like Leonid Stadnik who claims to be 8,5" but in reality he barely looks 7'6 to 7'7.

@ColonelAllan yeah humans reaching 7-8 feet naturally sounds plausibe. Even the 9 foot range seems possible, but 30 feet is just ridiculous and mythologyical. However, there have only been around a dozen people in history to be reliably documented at over 8 feet, and only person, Robert Wadlow, has even scraped the 9 foot mark. You agree Stadnik is NOWHERE near 8 feet 5 which he claims?

As far as mythology goes I'd still say an 8,5 tall man, built like Schwarzenegger and weilding a large battle axe would make ancient history. Especially if someone measuring in at say 5'5 slew one with a sling. Haha.

@ColonelAllan Yeah Stadnik looks about 7'7 max. I think you are right about somebody who is in the mid 8 foot range who's reasonably health and built would definitely make history, but I doubt the existence of such of a person unless there is more than just anecedotal evidence. I think giants described in the old legends were more like only in 7 foot range but they were exaggerated by accounts.

The possibility of 30 ft tall humans in the past is not only true, but a solid fact. It may be hard to believe by the simple minded skeptic, but there is proof all around the earth.  Just ask yourself a few questions. How did these megalithic structures all over the earth get built? When were they built? Why were they built? And who were they built for? There is plenty of research to do on this topic and plenty of evidence on the internet if you would just do the work and just stop denying.

@meditatespirit I understand what you're saying. It's certainly crossed my mind looking at structres such as those in Baalbek for one. Sachsahuaman too. These particular stones here are far too big to move manually, ('log rollers' would crumble or press into the ground in seconds) we could perhaps move them today with combinations of the largest most modern cranes but even these couldn't move them from the quarry site over rough land to the construction site.

The only other theory I've read about is that people were somehow able to change the atomic number of the stone...thus making it lighter, to be changd back once the stone is inplace...but most skeptics would laugh at such an idea :D

@meditatespirit Even stonehendge here in Britain is a mystery, it's stones may not be as large as those at Baalbek but they're still too big to have been moved 'on logs' from the quarry site in Wales (yes the type of stone has ben tested and it's composition matches stone only in Wales)...pretty far away from the place the stone circle is situated.

You mention "leg bones" but you don't mention femur, specifically. Perhaps the 120 cm is the length of the skeleton's femur and shin bone combined. This would correlate to a man of around 7 1/2 or 8 feet.. But that's just speculation.

There most certainly have been idiots who tried to gain a name in science by forgery of evidence as well. But the crucial difference is that they did it for personal benefit, not to promote a demagogic religious cult which advocate a dictatorial view, based on one single unsubstantiated source for our children to be taught, and the erasing of existing evidence, as creationism for instance does.
