the world being flat was so false.....the europeans knew the world was round, they were afraid sail to the west, cause they didn't know how far it would be...fear of running out of food before getting to land.
The idea of people thinking the world being flat was written by someone in like the 1800's or soemthing

I remember being in 1st grade in 1990 & being TAUGHT...that Christopher Columbus Sailed the world to prove to Queen Isabella that Earth was round. I'm 25 years-old now & I've graduated High School, & College & I've had time to consider this. 1492 was the year the Globe was Invented. & His original objective was to sail to Asia (back then, known as "the West Indies") so he could loot Asia for their Gold, Pearls, Food & Women. Columbus was a Pirate...Under Protection of the Spanish Crown...
