  • how can i remember the postal address for this, couldn't even remember the name of the show, I bet they get 90s kids sending shit in all the time

  • lol legendary! Blast from the past xD

  • RIP

  • 25p a min? Cheap then, now it's 51p a min! Remember scratchy and co. RIP Mark Speight.

  • At what point did this show stop being a trippy nonsensical Max Headroom pisstake and turn into a slightly random chat-show-plus-the-odd-cartoon format? It just wasn't the same without the talking football and Scratchy's rubber wig.

  • RIP Mark Speight miss u!!!!

  • Oh sweet nostalgia

  • Every saturday id be over my nans watching this, then as soon as they put animaniacs on my grandad would come in and demand i go out for a walk with him, same bloody time every week!

  • do you have anymore scratchy and co videos?

  • you don't get many topless hairy middle-aged men on kids tv anymore

  • "oh no I didn't"

    "oh yes you did"

    "Oh no I didn't"

    "Oh yes you did"

  • I used to love this lol. One thing that bugs me tho is I can't remember the programme that they showed. What I remember about it is they worked in a Burger Restaurant. lol.

  • cup of tea, oh yeah i'd love one cheers.

  • I recorded the very first episode of this on VHS wen i was a mere 10yr old (now 25) garfield animainiacs & batman were on this show happy days miss the 90s a hell of alot 2000 onwards has been shit

  • i was 6 years old when i watch this O: 6!!! now i am 20 omg renember everything XDDD

  • This was AWESOME! why don't they make TV like this anymore, what a shame, the kids of today are missing out BIG TIME!!!!!

  • i can't believe Elliot was only 6 when he played Reg !.I always thought he was abit older, like about 10 years old or something. It's clever how he acted like Reg at such a young age !.Well he's 6 on this clip, he was 5 when the show started.

  • thank you so much !!. i was hoping someone would upload sratchy and co onto youtube !.I used to watch this and this has brought back great memories. It's very tragic that Mark Speight died though..

  • i'm guessing this was the last Scratchy and Co on ITV

  • I don't think so. It didn't finish til 1998.

  • omg i loved this

    rip mark

  • why did he have to die?

  • LOL, the green screen! R.I.P Mark, you were great to watch!

  • R.I.P Mark i think i have 1 of your SMart episodes on VHS...:-)

  • Thats better!!!...

  • RIP MARK. one of my fave shows ever :-)

  • I hate bring the "is it live?" query up again, but if it was live, how did Reg get his deep voice? Surely he was miming, but was he really that good that he could remember all of the script?

  • anyone remember the post address.

  • I remember this...R.I.P. Mark Speight!

  • R.I.P Mark Speight

  • Nice suit

  • Can't belive Mark Speights gone! Miss him xRIPx

  • I can remember one episode where Scratchy actually had Mark Speight as a guest (obviously using split-screen stuff) and he was very rude to him which led to "Mark" running out the studio crying.

  • Thanks for this!!!!!!1

  • ah, this brings back memories.

cup of tea? oh yeah i'd love one cheers.

    mr tarantino, put that back.

  • Yea mark speight was great, I was really shocked when he died, but I loved scratchy and co, I never missed a show.

It was the best programme going and I remember the last day, I was guted.

  • I got his autograph when Scratchy & Co first came on tv. I was shocked when he took his own life.

Mark Speight aka Scratchy (1965-2008) R.I.P.

  • I know, even being in my mid twenties, it's strange to think an icon of my childhood took his own life over a decade later.

  • Has anyone got any more Scratchy and Co episodes? I loved this! I used to sing the telephone numbers and address! I loved Reg too!

  • This is a fantastic upload of Scratchy + Co from 1996 vtx264 I used to watch the show and never missed a series.

Have you got anymore CITV Saturday morning shows from the 1990's i.e. It's not just Saturday the first edition?

  • i was looking for the see it saw it show which he and his girlfriend were both in can ne1 help me lol x

  • can we have moar hilites?

    no, i prefer u au-naturale LOL

  • A potentially daft question but was this ever shown live?

  • The cue dot's a big clue ;) Yep

  • Ah, touché ;)

  • yes this show was live and i though it was good then they changed it ot that smtv live

  • OMG it's been so long since i've seen any footage of this show, thanks so much for uploading! Mark, what a legend.

  • This clip demonstrates why i thought this show was superior in every way to Live and Kicking!!!

  • is this like toonattik but on at a later time

  • No. It was a full-length saturday morning show in an era when CITV really were having difficulty in finding a successful saturday morning format to compete with live and Kicking on CBBC. Actually, Scratchy and Co was more successful than the others during his period, but not successful enough!

  • R.I.P Mark we miss you xx

  • So sad, I hope he and his girlfriend are together now.

God shouldnt be so hard on suicide victims...

  • A magnificent upload of Scratchy and Co featuring the late Mark Speight I watched all three series when it used to be on Saturday mornings at 9:25 cheers vtx264 and look forward to seeing more from you.

  • Thanks for this clip, really brings it all back. I seem to remember that the first series of this was entirely fronted from a CSO screen and then the next series being given a set. At the time it alternated with Wow! (which was poor), but apparently LWT weren't pleased at how much Wow! was costing and they preferred Scratchy instead as it was cheaper. And there was also an episode of Sooty set in Spain from the 1996 series too.

  • OMG, I just about remember Scratchy & Co, thank you for putting it up

  • Used to love this. I remember there was a penguin aswell and one episode he was running about everywhere, in the GMTV studio he popped up behind the presenters through the window lol. Thanks for uploading.

  • and that guy reg hate to burst any bubbles but he is not a midget he is a real kid (now 18 years old)

  • What was his name in real life, and I bet he remembers it!

  • Found our Reg was played by Elliot Henderson Boyle and he also starred in Mind the Baby Mr Bean as the baby!

  • The baby was Lydia Henderson-Boyle. He looks way too young in Mr Bean to look like what he does in Scratchy and Co only after 3 years.

  • You mean Elliot Henderson Boyle!

  • The credits of Mind the Baby Mr Bean say "Lydia Henderson Boyle".

I was saying that I doubted both the baby and Reg were played by the same person because the Mr Bean episode was made in 1993, and this Scratchy and Co clip is from 1996. This would've meant that Elliot would have only been 3 or 4 in this clip, and he looks to old to be 3 or 4.

  • RIP Mark Speight
