Adam Ant must be one of the very few human males who has got away with a fairly obvious wig, without being lambasted for it. I've googled Adam Ant and wig toupee, and it appears there is not one single article on the subject - which goes to show the broad level of affection held for the man. Wearing a wig is an example of trying to use cheating mechanisms to ascend the male dominance hierarchy, which is why society usually 'polices' such tricks, by exposing such cheats, but not with Adam Ant!

@ScareMeSexy71 - the late 80s featured any number of artists using electronic instruments that tried (badly) to fully mimic and replace real instruments. It does sound very fake. Immersed in it all in 1989, check out Aretha Franklin's "Through the Storm". It's rather good, but the electronic sax and other instruments have not fared well over time...
