You were 100% right. This is the not my problem and what the heck is customer service mentality. People don't care about the customer concept anymore, it's I;m just here to get a paycheck. No pride in doing a job well. Combine that with other countries that only get paid 2.00 a hr makes sense to big companies. Just go to a drive thru and you can see this in action. I had to threaten someone NOT to put a damn piece of cheese on my burger after I got it the last 5 times with it.

When i picked up the game to pay the remaining balance, i had a 10% off coupon. The cashier said i couldn't use it cuz i already had a $5 discount!! and i kept telling her that i PAID the $5 and that it's not a discount. she couldn't figure it out until the manager came and explained it to her..omg..such an ordeal!
Did you talk to the supervisor or manager? The regular employee sometimes doesn't know or care what they can do but the manager or supervisor is generally going to make things work out for you.

my family (5 People!) aaaalways went to a spa the day after christmas and one year my mum had a coupon which was worth more than we should pay...so my mum asked if she could have another coupon with the amount (~10€) that was left from the first coupon...the coupon was a gift btw so someone payed the spa the amount that was on the coupon...no reason why it would not be possible to split the coupon!...but they said no, even the manager said no...and my mum never returned to that spa ^^

call the 1800 number explain the situation and tell them you have a blog with a substantial following and that you're going to continue to shit talk them until you're re-compensated in some way. They'll listen.

Ask to see a manager. It is not acceptable for them to say it's a limitation of their computer system. Get someone who can either make the register do the refund properly, or write a note to be put in the cash drawer that explains the drawer discrepancy.

When I was working the return desk at a certain place people would fly into a rage at me all the time when I was not able to meet their demands. Of course they always said the same thing, "I WANT TO SEE THE STORE MANAGER." Which always ended the same way because the store manager did not have the ability to do it either. The computers were specifically designed to not let any employee do that.

So I called another store (45 minutes away) and asked if they had that specific product available. I arrived and was told the product wasn't in stock! I purchased the display model. When I got home, I noticed one dumbbell was broken! I had the warranty but every time I called 2 ask about a new pair, they were never in stock....
Call the corporate office and complain. That's not right.. in all fairness they should have returned EVERYTHING and redone the WHOLE order to make it right.
