@cliintbarnes I feel very privileged to have been there too. I went along on the advise of a friend and to be honest, I wasn't expecting too much. However it didn't take me long to realise I had stumbled into something very special. He took us all on a roller coaster ride of awe, inspiration, and joy and I couldn't help feeling as I came away that somehow I was more whole/complete as a person than when I'd gone in.

fantastic. The characteristic drone of the the G string is utilised so well by jake. It's a sound unique to ukulele type reenrant tuning. and maybe also the bagpipes

Its fine fast playing but it is not bluegrass-which is characterized by traditional motifs, rhythms and bluegrassyness

It's safe to group Jake with Bela. They both are masters of their instrument and can and do play all kinds of music on them. They both are a real pleasure to watch as well as listen to. Maybe even more fun to watch. I'd like to see Bela and Jake play together. That would be a real treat.

@Getzrules well any instrument involes a real relationship to play musically and honestly, but @zachbdude is making it sould like playing uku is some impossible foreign task if coming from guitar and playing one is a hinderance to the other, which it isnt in the slightest.

actually, ive heard that if you are good at one youre probably very bad at the other. they use different notes, cords and even the strings are made of different material.

the chrod shapes are identical and transpose at the fourth... and the nylon strings are the same as that on a classical guitar.

its just taking time to adjust to the tuning.
