Mercury evaporats only in liquid state. That's why alloy is used which is a hard state. You get a metal that does not evaporate stuff. xZn+yHg=ZnxHgy where x and y are proportions of metals.
There were no sufficient evidence saying that metal feelings are anyhow toxic. There is a research from official body on nzda website. NZDA approved that research and suggests that insisting on removing amalgam feeling is unethical)
In Dec. '07 Dr. Nunnally removed my silver amalgams and a toxic root canal that I lived with for eight years unaware it was slowly destroying my immune system. Dr. Nunnally is my hero. I flew from CA to his office in TX and it was worth every dollar I charged to my credit card because I was unemployed and too sick to work from living with chronic fatigue and a weakening immune system from the root canal. The same day my root canal was removed, all my energy came back.
Yesб mercury is a toxin, but who said that amalgam fillings contain mercury?
Mercury is used to turn metal (silver, copper and tin) in to soft material that can be used to shape a filling. When mercury reacts with metal you get alloy (fusion), in which mercury looses all its toxic properties.
@anyadmitrieva1 Really? Say that again. Did I hear this right?
Your saying that when you bind Mercury with silver it loses all its toxic properties. And your telling other people to go and learn chemistry!
And further to correct your dis-information Mercury is NOT made stable when its mixed with zinc, silver copper and tin. It has already been proven that people with amalgam fillings are being fed a contact dose of mercury vapour. Yes that means TOXIC mercury vapour.
I'm getting all my amalgams removed and two rootcanals....it's friggin EXPENSIVE! The American Dental Association is criminal in it's support of silver/mercury amalgams.
@1madaboutguitar I'm worried about it, especially about getting the root canals pulled. Was diagnosed with MS 4 years ago and have it under control with diet, exercise and supplements. Had part of the amalgams done and I was wiped out for a week, I am so afraid of having another exacerbation.
@jerseygrl5 i would suggest you have lot of detox first before removing the fillings.
For me, I have 5 months detox before my doctor allow me to take out the fillings, but still all my symptoms came back just 2 hours after taking out the fillings and I had another year of detox/treatment.
Taking a lot of antioxidants (the good one like OPC-3) and chlorella will help. I had one young lady friend who had MS for 10+ years, she did well with the antioxidants n the MS was controlled well.
my life is effed because of my fillings

simple true is over the years the fillings will turn the color from silver to dark black.
you know why?
the mercury gone and silver and other metal were oxidized and change color.
Also good to see youtube video "smoking teeth - poisoned gas" by IAOAT on how mercury leak as vapor from fillings

can i just have my teeth replaced with ym two filings? would that be cheaper less hassle than amalgam removal alone?

Find a dentist that doean't insist on amalgame being used as spice on you food, then take 1-2 out at 2-4 months intervals..
Get Vit. B(-complex)-C-E and some Selenium into your system, also as prophylactic.
See too it that the Vitamins and Selenium is organic; not the synthetic crap made by chemists that is at best 10% effective and the rest is a waste.
