  • Does anybody know the lyrics to this masterpiece?

  • @starchedownon84s There are no lyrics, except on the end there's a spoken part, about who produced the album, who engineered it, who brought coffee and so on. Ends with "Thank you, Albert"! :-)

  • @discomadame i got it after I listened to it in my headphones

  • Cups by Underworld (written 16 years later) sounds so much like this it's crazy. This is fantastic.

  • underrated! and ok ok we got its dilla you fuckin fags. you dont have to go to every single fuckin video dilla sampled and write dilla on it! geez. just go and explore music for yourselves. just do yourself a favor ok? dammm

  • @TurcoDon dilla.

  • @hjlphilp yeah i know its DILLA! And we all love Dilla! But just dont pretend like he wrote this song. give some credit to the original artists and stuff.

  • @TurcoDon I agree give credit to original artists...but....have you heard what he did with it??? Can you blame them really?

  • simply the best

  • Only Giorgio Moroder could try - and succeed beautifully - to have the credits for his album passed off as lyrics.

  • This album was produced by Giorgio Moroder and Harold Faltemeyer - all keyboards and programming by Harold, with a little help from Giorgio - on drums and percussion, Keith Forsey, recorded live to digital - it must sound studio - digital system by Soundstream incorporated - Rolands Micro composer programmed by Harold - assisted by Brian ? - engineered and mixed by Harold, Giorgio, and Juergen Koppers, the ? - second engineer Steven Smith assisted by ? and Roman ? • @SynthMusic4Ever Tea and coffee by Laurie Campbell.

  • @SuperCartiel Thanks. I remember spending weeks and weeks searching for a store that had this LP and finally I found an organ dealer in Glendale California that had it! That made my day. That was about the same time I was looking for Vangelis' Antarctica LP when I found out it was around. I got that one in a small record store in Santa Monica as an import. Of course, all is available on CD but back then it was a must have. Giorgio's From Here to Eternity set is my favorite synth tune of all time

  • @SuperCartiel Tea and coffee by Laurie Cameron.

    ENERGY EQUALS MC SQUARED.

    ...Thank you, Albert.

  • haha, the best part is when the robot give the credits

  • Holy shit...I already knew Dilla sampled this, but is it just me hearing that Outkast sampled this for Funky Ride?!? Right around the 0:47 mark onwards?

  • @kuriosity89 Wat track

  • @Ayplus J Dilla - E=Mc2

    Outkast - Funky Ride

Although I listened to Funky Ride again and I'm pretty sure it just sounds very similar and isn't actually sampled

  • Dilla just slowed this track down super slow...

but he definately ripped it though...

Dilla was / IS a BEAST...

check out ONRA...Dilla speaks through him...

  • @Rocism01 LOL...you fool, giorgio moroder is a million times better than that idiot...

  • This song makes einstien proud

  • JAY DEE!!!!!!!!

  • This is da SHIT!!!! GTA Libert City Stories

  • from a time filled with imagination and talent, like no other eras.

  • Tremendous memories of this and Kraftwerk Hamburg; Cologne; Germany!!

  • Tremendous memories of this and Kraftwerk Hamburg; Cologne; Germany!!

  • j dilla

    dilla dilla

    beats beats

  • lol.

    sick

  • what the hell is he saying

  • you've no idea how hard it is to find this song through all the actual science videos

  • Lol J-Dilla sampled this

  • thirtythree years and it still sounds fresh, this is now the diredction is now taking!

  • Unless, all you self made gods, judging and making negative comments, actually experienced or participated in the 70's, 80's disco scene, don't forget how music came to be what it is today. It evolved and so should you..

  • He is the father of all digital made albums and with Kraftwerk the father of techno music. E=MC2 was the very first 100% digital recorded album.

  • kinda cheesy how the credits are in the song, but innovative at the same time.

  • E=mc² only works for masses at rest, otherwise, E=mc²/√(1-v²/c²)

  • you should write that song then.

  • Crazy how this track and most Moroder tracks use a real drummer and how the compression makes it sound like a drum machine.

  • word, nice comment.

  • what exactly is a 'drum machine'?

  • @shaffy320 It's a special computer that emulates a drum and percussion set.

  • More albums need to feature the musician singing the production credits.

  • lol rappers stole that shit from giorgio

    lol "props" ahhaha

    nice comment

  • ba ba da da da da di di

    braaa di di ba ba

    So catchy!

  • hola la verdad.... q. el tiempo q. paso desde este tema en su debutno lo dejo en el recuerdo solo para algunos de los q. sisempre lo seguimos escuchando............. muy bueno

  • The Moog 16-Channel MBVO 327A Vocoder is used in this for the cool vocal parts tinging/spinging about the production. But at the begining it sounds like a talk-box. It seems to go back and forth and mix between vocoder and talk-box.

  • do you know how to get these as plug-ins for mac/PC? and do you also know classic moroder synthies as plug ins??

    cheers

  • Sorry, no to both. However there is a soft synth that Moog came-out with that has the emulations of several of their most famous synths and vocoder. But as usual the analog purist (as I am with vocoders) say it's CRAP (or sub-par)!!

  • yeah guess you´re right, but unfortunately most of analog-equipment is too expensive for me...but thanks anyway, im just gonna save my money for a mini moog...

  • Sounds good!!

  • arturia makes a pretty good soft minimoog

    i love using it

and seeing as i can pirate it for free as opposed to paying $2500 - $5000, which i absolutely dont have, for any piece of equipment

  • Live 8 comes with a vocoder

  • Who done the other songe E=MC2?

  • other 1 is by Jon Lajoie

  • J Dilla

  • @thetubeisgr8 - (6 months late but nevermind)

    Big Audio Dynamite.

  • That´s the begining of the electronic music so to jean michel jarre and kraftwerk. simple fantastic. 70´s music.

  • e=mc2 man it soooo...electroshocking!

  • "Tea And Coffee by Laurie Cameron!"

    GAHAHAHAH fuckin super mario ass

  • Its Laurie Kanner

  • we were back to the past into future music.

  • Wow a credit roll at the end! lol

  • tukutukutukutuku-tikitikitikitkitikitiki ...¡Ese sonido del fondo es maravilloso!

  • this is the first digital album, and it's really awesome. thanks god i have the vynil record.

  • Unfortunately there's about 50 different "first digital" records ranging from 1968-1985.

I'm surprised you'd prefer vinyl over CD on this album.

  • I knew the italian moustache in GTA LCS, Flashback FM. Awesome tunes! Golden times for music.

  • grandissimo giorgio

  • WOW!!! Giorgio!! I had this album years ago - so good to hear this again - THANK YOU!!!!!! LUV IT!!!

  • with a little help from giorgio

  • why does he say like weird names or whatever that random jibberish is at the end?

  • the ending is his version of a "shout out"

the cedits on the back cover for E=mc2 album. listen closely...

  • oh ok lol i though he was like naming off scientist or something hhaha. but then i heard like produced by and percussion and digital producing and stuff.

    thanks dude

  • giorgio is known for the first digital album.

it was released in 1979! look at the promo video posted on YT. it was done here in L.A (rusk studio, hollywood)back in the day... him, alan parsons and others"used the studio" for their recordings.

  • Does this guy sing? Maybe not. I heard his "Chase" but no one is singing there. It was just a tune.

  • giorgio has others sing, if there are lyrics, on his music. he is more"hands on" with his work.

  • This is heard iin Flashback FM in GTA: Liberty City Stories. It rocks!!!!

  • E=MC2! You want to be my relative? *weird laugh*

  • energy equals (mass times the speed of light-squared)

  • E=mc2 means energy can change into matter and vice versa.

  • even more actually...energy is matter...matter is energy...just different forms of the same thing

  • MASTER OF MIDI. Daft punk is nothing comparing whit him

  • Moog 16-Channel MBVO 327A Vocoder

  • hell. yes.

  • I´m back to the seventies..

Got Donna Summers "on the Radio vol I & II"

CD for Christmas (produced by Giogio)

He´s one of the engineers of "electronic music"

Thanks for posting this album, got it on MC ?!?

  • Thank you Albert....thank you Giorgio....

and thank you for sharing this as well !

  • The album cover makes him look a lot like Einstein :D

Well he is a genius in his own right

  • One of my favorites on Liberty City Stories!

  • same here :D

  • Flashback FM just rocks XD

  • Yea :D

  • pure inspiration!!

  • whoooo!

  • Those Moogs!

  • ohh! just go fuck your self!.....

  • ohh!just go fuck your self!.....

  • Maybe you are... but music has no sexual orientation.

  • did you say that to me?

  • I said that to the guy who said that this song is gay, music is music, so simple like that.

  • Maybe you are... but music has no sexual orientation.

  • Fail

  • At the end of this song are the credits of the album, said by the vocoder. And a very young Harold Faltermeier. The first digital album is history. The female voice are vocoders by Pete Bellote, too!.

  • This album was the first to be recorded in digital way. Now GM has 69yo. In Youtube there are videos with interviews to him. He explain the incredible process from those years to record techno disco music. The influence from Kraftwerk, vocoder, modular sequencers and the incipient drum machines...cables, cables..Ferrari honor him with a new Ferrari: the Cizetta Moroder model.

  • Another J Dilla Sample E=MC^2!!!!

  • I love 3:10 by Giogio Moroder and Herold Faltermeyer with the cool voice

  • Grande Giorgio Moroder!
