it really is irrelevant that it hurts the biceps, the real stress is in the forearms, wrists and hand grip!
i would half recommend wrist straps around the bar but then u r cheatin REAL strength development.
Alternatively try to strengthen the forearms and hand grip. i do the usual exercises such as wrist extensions but i also use squeezers for hand grip. it is vital for strengthening the tendons and ligaments in the hands/forearms coz these take the full load of the body.

i'm same as this guy too. i can do 10 gud wide grip pull ups on the 1st set . but i struggle on the 2nd and 3rd set + usually manage 5 or 6.
i weigh 85 kg and my body is athletic build, so in theory i should find it comfortable to do..........trust me its NOT, its the hardest exercise out there bar none!
since I've been doing them my back is really cut and defined. i also feel stronger, stamina wise as well.
When I weighted only 63 kg I could easily do 25-30 pullups, but as you get heavier it gets more and more difficult to do as many. Now I'm the same weight as you, Zulu2829, and I can only do 15 maybe on the first set. The only way to get strong in pullups is to do pullups! Keep it up, Zulu! :)

i can get 10 out no prob but 12 might be abit hard for me. im 67kg but my mate who is 90kg and and is alot stronger then me struggles alot more then me on pullups
damn! i hate small guys,coz their light and can jsut stay on the bar for hours doing pull ups...im a big guy,so i can lift more...but im tryign to do more pullups...not many big guys on bars (i mean..guys 100+)

And the BEST way to train strength in forearms is to pick up as much weight as possible on a barbell and just hold it for as long as possible.
Keep your arms completely straight and then hold as much weight for as long as possible.
Really works, but it makes you cry because it is painful haha.
