That's all I need, a pair of socks I can't wash because they're waterproof :) On the serious side though, they are very expensive. Better to invest in a really good pair of Gore-Tex boots if you're going to do any amount of walking in search of those caches. :D

@svengalie LOL no, but they sweat when I'm hiking. When I was younger, I did some cross-country skiing and tried putting a plastic bag between two pairs of socks. That was a terrible idea. Both socks were soaked when I was done, and my feet were like prunes.

they look like they work great!! until you step knee deep.. i try to focus on the waterproof boot but same principle: kneed deep = bad. You know if there's a WP sock that would cover above knee? All this knee thing remind me of an arrow joke, have you heard of it?

Sounded like a magic trick for the majority! They look really useful for all of my geological walks / rides around brecon etc (yes I know I look at rocks), nothing worse than wet feet and sticky socks.
