Altidore is a bench warmer at relegation strugglers hull. I think MLS has come along way in recent years and all credit to the league but it has a long way to go to reach European standards.

Back to the clint dempsey thing though, i think clint dempsey needs to stop trying to act ghetto and tough. The tackle was clean. I don't see the problem with the tackle. Also I am pretty sure soccer players don't know how to fight that well but are in good enough condition to not get their ass handed to them in a fight.

the term soccer is not american. it's scottish. americans call football soccer because it was brought to our continent originally by scotts settling canada. it has nothing to do with americans feeling the need to be different or with americans not speaking english properly. it's just a consequence of linguistic evolution, just like most terms. do they not cover history across the pond? jackass.

Conrad was one of the lone bright spots besides Dempsey in the World Cup. He came into a 9 man US squad and kept the World Cup Champions Italy off the board. The tackle shown here wasn't even a foul in the game because it was a clean tackle - unlike the cheap elbow "Deuce" broke Conrad's jaw with.
Dempsey needs to talk a little less and look up a little more. He's going to get tackled a lot harder than that in Europe. Ask Beasley about Jaap Stam.
