Peak oil will bring about the end of "industrial civilization" in a slow, generations-long process of deflation and having less and less energy to use for EVERYTHING. When the time comes that it's clear we've reached production peak and will never produce more BPD, do you want to be in a carbon-intensive economy with no investment in fuel efficiency and non-hydrocarbon renewable fuels, or would you prefer the alternative?

CO2 is a fundamental part of the Carbon cycle. The more there is the faster plants & phyto plankton/bacteria grow. This in turn provides higher levels of nutrient resources for the rest of the food chain.
CO2 is not toxic to aerobic organisms until levels are sufficiently high to cause anoxia.

Those temperature spikes are due to solar activity, they are completely unaffected by CO2.

Temperature is not driven by CO2, its the other way round. The warmer it gets the more CO2 is produced. If the global temperature goes up then after a few hundred years CO2 levels follow. Don't believe the hype

Indeed it was during this time, that I learned most about aquatic life & ecosystems both freshwater & marine. i asked some older ppl about it and they said there used to be snow quite a bit, but not anymore - now there's practically none even during the coldest winter months

Just 'cause you heard this theory on TV once and it made you feel all fuzzy inside doesn't make it a "fact"... On the other hand, tropical weather in Summer, people inT-shirts in December in NYC, etc... those ARE "facts" Pollution everywhere is a fact too... Connecting those dots together is what I do with my own brain...

I didnt just hear it on tv, I was taught this in University by a professor that got kicked out of the same " league of scientists" who push for climate change, even though he and many of his colleagues had overwhelming evidence that this " global warming" is nonsense, so while you pay your taxes for them to do nothing but laugh at you, I will think otherwise. They have had the technology to stop " climate change" for over 50 years now, what happened?

That the earth is warming and that CO2 emissions are rising are beyond doubt. What is not rigorously established is a correlation between CO2 emissions and global temperature increase. greenhouse gases includes water vapor and methane. Living creatures produce CO2, water, and methane. Could there be an agenda of population control or eugenics behind the global warming scare?

Now, I don't believe in "Man-Made Climate Change," but I do know how within a decade we can drop at least 30% of 2005 CO2 emissions, I think we should just for the sake of our own health. It would increase jobs and US-based businesses, and we'd run our cars/ semi-trucks on cleaner, carbon-negative fuels doing something mankind has been doing for it's entire history. You would think we'd have picked up on it by now, wouldn't you? The problem is, it's a fuel that's constantly smeared by big oil.

We agree! Good scientists need defending at his stage...because there are a hell of lot of knuckle draggers out there who believe the solution to problems is shooting the messenger. Al Gore is an American...what American politician isn't owned by the corporations to a certain degree? Still, I think Gore is miles ahead of Bush and I feel safe in assuming that he sure as hell wouldn't have screwed up in the M.E. to the extent Bush has and the world would have been a nicer place.
