I had one.
I thought I was bitten.
Didnt feel anything like a bite, but some symptoms started in just 3 minutes.
So I panicked. I called our emergency services 000, and unlocked the door for them in case I couldnt make it by the time they arrived.
5 minutes later they were here and I was recovering. It had sprayed its venom in the water. It was so diluted that I was not in any serious danger.
From then on I never fed it alone, always had someone else around.

After that I started to use rubber gloves and ceram wrap to protect myself against another venom spray.
Mine was VERY shy and stayed mostly uner its rock unless feeding.
I would hear it moving around at night and it would freak me out sometimes.
It died after 18 months. They have a short life span, and even shorter in captivity.
Fascinating creatures. I love em.
Recommend you get one if you can.
Just be careful.
They are escape artists, and VERY smart and agile.
first and nice :)
