  • im proud of were i am from, nova scotian at heart anbd miss it but i am better off in ontario because im enjoying myself more. nova scotia is amazing but boring and over run by hicks and old people, causing this blue noser to leave his family and life behind.

  • I am a Cajun from Louisiana and most of my ancestors lived in Nova Scotia from the 1650's to the 1750's. If their lives were anything like this video (I'm sure it was even better), then my ancestors really did have the good life in the 100 years they had in Nova Scotia.

  • Now living in the west for 30 + years I still miss my "NS home"

  • i will be there soon

  • I feel extremely blessed to be from here and be the product of two Capers. No other place like Nova Scotia.

  • We only got to spend a week on NS, it was the best, and the most friendly of our whole trip East. Digby being one of the best. I can only see it now through your eyes. I did find Lite 92.9 Lite Rock Radio that I can listen too. thanks, from Oregon, USA

  • I left to New Brunswick. BIG MISTAKE. NB is very different. I miss my Annapolis Valley. I am actually suffering from stomach problems, bad marks in school, cold sores, stress, lack of sleep and all this regret for moving away. I miss her. BlueNosers are made for Nova Scotia, not alberta, not NB, only Nova Scotia. I'm actually crying now.

  • I`m from the Fundy shore in NS. I`m homesick...

  • Nova Scotia is amazing. Bedford is really nice, and the bedford basin and Halifax harbour are beautiful for sailing =)

  • I love Nova Scotia 4 ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I MISS HER LOTS... AND OFTEN....

  • Sexy music lol

  • praise be nova scotia illl never leave

from an expat Nova Scotian in Japa

  • i love being a Nova Scotian!!! Wouldn't trade it for anything!!! Great video!!!

  • Mo dhachaidh,, good old Rita.

  • I have been living away from home for 18 years and will be going back to visit next summer'can't wait'. There's no place like it.

  • No doubt. Nova Scotia is a gateway to Heaven.

  • when you here this song you should think of the Citadel and history of Halifax , the the shores and valleys of Cape Breton, the forts and orchards of Annapolis Royal, the schooners and houses of Lunenburg, the Islands and tidal bore of Colchester County, and the wiled horses and sand of Stable island . :) i know this and i just turned 14 , i love Nova Scotia

  • I was born in Halifax but raised in UK, raised family in Toronto and now live in Mexico. I've always felt first and foremost a Nova Scotian and always will. So this video really tugs at the heartstrings. Our family roots are in Wallace, Cumberland County.

Wonderful video! Really does our province proud.

  • Yay! There's a Nova Scotia Duck Toller at 1:42. They're one of the sweetest and happiest dog breeds in the world.

  • Heart rendering, between the words and photos I am ready to pack it in tonight and head for home.... they say home is where your heart is, I have to go back to Cape Breton and collect mine.... I miss it very much... there are no people in the world who value family and loyalty and their 'home like those from atlantic Canada... you can take them out of the Maritimes, but you can't take the Maritime out of their hearts....

  • Oh lordy! I`m a Nova Scotian in Colorado. A long way from home...

  • @karen9933 hahaa n NO IT ISNT. nova scotia is LATIN for new scotland. Alba Nuadh is gaelic for nova scotia. seeing im a highlander that speaks gealic i know

  • @karen9933

    Actually it is Latin

  • I wish i could love my home town and be proud to live in it, like the people of nova scotia

  • What a beautiful place!!

  • I'd move from Ontario to Nova Scotia in a heartbeat if I could.

  • @xBaitMyScenex Same here. I always miss Nova Scotia!

  • My papa was born in Meat cove, Cape Breton and raised in the Bay of St. Lawrence. I miss him and I miss visiting there. I love you papa. -Kyra

  • I'm a Nova Scotian born and raised in Dartmouth. I recently had a friend that i met in the states come visit here and she was completely taken with the beauty of our province. She cant wait to come back and this time she's bringing her family here for vacation, lol. I'm a proud Canadian and I'm a proud Nova Scotian.

  • I'm born and bred bluenoser. The two times i have left the province by plane i couldn't wait to get home. You can take the girl out of Nova Scotia but you can't take the Nova scotia out of the girl.

  • You can take the man from Cape Breton; but he'll just go home again someday.

  • yeah, Nova Scotia is more like a Dream:-)

  • hi guys. what area of nova scotia has the most pristine forests?

  • Bridgewater

  • Loved that they remembered a Toller in this. Our provincial dog. Beautiful!

  • Also, dont forget to stop into the CHICKENBURGER in Bedford. A genuine old-timey drive-in restaurant of yesteryear. Built in 1940 and original from the lead paint to the 2-prong ungrounded electrical outlets! Bask in the neon glow. Drop a quarter and play 3601 on the jukebox and sit back and 'take it easy'. Don't pass this one up!

  • I'm from Bedford, and I couldn't agree more. A jolly good time.

  • I'm a born and raised Nova Scotian... and my old truck and I have been from end to end, top to bottom of this beautiful place, my dog too until his passing in 2007, he was an NS Duck Toller.

The Alberta bait has taken many of us. Maybe I'm stubborn but I'll take a little less in my wallet to have a little more piece of mind. This is home, this is the only place I'd ever raise a family. Times might be hard but thats when you stick together and weather the storm... were good at that, right guys?

  • I'm in Alberta too and hate it but this is where my job is. I'd toss it all to go back to Halifax.

Sorry to hear about your dog.

  • @JunkMaster83 Awwe thats adorable

I live in BC but many of my friends have been taken by Alberta :c

  • @JunkMaster83 Couldn't haven't have said better myself...

  • I love this song! I've now spent 11 months here in Nova Scotia and I have to go back home! But I am one of the many who don't want to leave!

  • If I was visiting from Boston I would go to St John NB and take the boat over to Digby. Then from there go up through the Annapolis Valley and then onto Cape Breton and around the Cabot Trail.Back from there to Haliax and then around the south shore to Yarmouth. There you will hopp the boat over to Bar Harbour Maine.Give yourself a good week and take your time it is such a beauitful place.Have fun.
