I only wish that Aimee would move away from using a shuffle beat in everything. I thought that Bachelor #2 and Lost in Space were exceptional albums, the best things she's ever done, but The Forgotten Arm and @#%&*! Smilers were packed with shuffle-beat numbers that all sounded too similar. (Notable exception for "Video", which was a metronomic, hypnotic song.) Loosen yourself out of the shuffle beat, Aimee!
A critic on NPR said her songs "worm their way into your subconcious". not flattering but true. The guitars sound really groovy and there's a lot more going on than one thinks at first listen. I find I never tire of her. Smilers is good, too.....
i think she looks kinda like Elizabeth Shue sometimes

Even when she's talking, Aimée Mann has a truly lovely, LOVELY voice. She could be saying just about anything- I'd love it, just listening to her!
