  • 8 People lost family members flying against the F-15

  • haha this one isdowned in libya air assault 22march2011whart about that well french rafale is then way better than the Fs of USA but pilot is safe rebel hands

  • Can I have one?

  • The F-15 & Su-27 are alike in having air-air kills without losses. The F-15 has many more kills, but mostly achieved in conflicts where you had superior U.S. or Israeli pilots flying the vastly superior '15 against Soviet relics like the MiG-21.

With the exception of the Ethiopia-Eritrea conflict (where the Flanker, too, scored kills against MiG aircraft without loss), the Su-27 has had far fewer opportunities to be tested. Lack of combat does not prove lack of combat capability, however...

  • @l3attlel2oyal The Eagle and the Flanker are direct competitors...but the Flanker is notorious fo its instability at certain levels of flight...no wonder so many have crashed at air shows......the F-15 is a better all-around weapons platform....the Flanker will never even come close to the F-15's record...no matter what the Flanker has flown against.....great aircraft, the Su-27,just not that good....not to mention its poor service record. The Eagle tops it in every way....just how it is...always

  • @l3attlel2oyal

The F- 15 was a generation ahead of its time, its been in service for 35 plus years......125 plus vs 0 defeats.......................Enough said........

  • My son is soon to be a Crew Chief on this magnificent aircraft! Love it!

  • Love the music

  • This would be cool with Steve Millers "Fly Like An Eagle".

  • An awesome Plane.

  • B-E-A-U-tiful!

  • meanist badist jet ever built , a kill ratio 104 to 0 never beatin keep on flying eagles :)

  • I hope the F-22 Raptor doesn't replace it.

  • F-16 Drivers all have one thing in common...

-They all want to be an EAGLE DRIVER!!!!

  • tribute tribute tribute

    tribute

    tributetribute

    tribute

    long live USA

    fuck Russia

  • And why he flies like a log, he can do maneuvers "cobra", "barrel"?

  • Devil reigns America, this is so, nothing to do, God can't change anything

  • But we go is to buy the French garbage of Rafale.

  • Comment removed

  • Tit

  • its like you have a baer 1911,and i have a sig 220.not the weapon, its the man, when the tools are that close

  • baddest of the bad

  • Man, I'm going to miss this jet when it retires.

  • whats with the quiality

  • After i get a degree in Managment, math, Psy sci, or administrations i get to join fighter pilot training to fly one of these sexy machines id prefer this over the f-22 any day

  • They say that the Raptor Can beat the Eagle, unfortunately with Stealth it probably could. But i Love the Eagle Because of what it HAS done, unlike the Raptor witch has yet to prove it self, and only talks about what CAN do not what it HAS done.

  • eagle is almost twice as fast though

  • Both are excellent planes.

But as far as simulations go, Raptor tears Eagles apart. 204-0 vs F-15s and F-16s in one exercise. F-22 can take down 16 Eagles by itself without ever being seen. It's good. Eagle is a legend though. ^^

  • yeah I saw a simulated dog fight between f22 and f15. F22 won because of more advance technology but man Eagle is battle tested. it has dominated the world's sky ever since it was put in service. it has won over many hearts. maybe they should scrap f22 and put some of its advance system in the Eagle.

  • You need to think about it realisticly the plane is an old design it is a good aircraft but you cant keep adding new technology into an old design and expect it to perform as good as it first entered service. The better way is to get a new design.

  • it's old but I don't think there's anything wrong with the design. they plan to keep it in service until 2025 that's how reliable and loved this jet is. the new Mig35 looks similar to F15 which was design decades ago. it was ahead of it's time.

  • Yeah cause the F22 is too damn expensive and the design is good but when new technology are merging and the design will lose its edge.

  • It will never be as good as when it first entered service so there is a need to have a new design to take on the job. Example: If you can keep adding things to it and it will still be as good as it first came out, the USAF would still havethe P51 Mustang in service.

  • bad analogy. P51 is no where near f15 in terms of effectiveness. f15 was a groundbreaking design and ahead of its time. trust me, when they retire this thing, a lot of people will miss it.

  • How is it bad? It defines my point, an old design no matter if you pack it with avionics, cannot be the best forever. And as you said "WAS a groundbreaking design" and your right to this day none has been shot down in air to air combat but your not getting my point here It is still a great plane but time is catching up to it and it cant be at teh top forever. And of course people will miss it, it was argubly the best jet fighter of all time.

  • I explained why after I said bad analogy. I agree that F15 can't be top gun forever but at least until 2025 when they retire it, they can keep improving it until then. time catches up to any design I understand that. but they didn't have to spend so much money designing totally new F22 when they can just upgrade their F15.

  • i love the f-15 in fact i made a tribute too but this one is rlly kewl.

  • The F-15 is the world's greatest fighter. On top of the F-16 which is used by many airforces around the world. Some others use Eagles (Israel of course, USAF, Japan, and S. Korea). The F-15 has more than 100 air to air kills and not 1 has been lost in combat only in accidents. Thats an incredibly high kill ratio! Long live The EAGLE!

  • haha i bet russian fighter pilots wish they had planes with that kill ratio. take that russia

  • @BRIANROX1 @BRIANROX1 Kill ratio is no matter against the way how Russian pilots fly and against the Mig -29 OVT - check this video -

/// watch?v=92fPDWH_tik&feature=related /// If any of US pilots will fly like this Pro Rus pilots - the will be dead inside the fly. It is almost impossible to defence from the fly like Mig29 OVT and the way how the pilots drive them.

  • @kmiwka the way how russian pilots fly? how do they fly...oh thats right they crash. and FYI the MiG-29 OVT is a demonstrator. you want the MiG-35 which is in development. which like its predecessor the MiG-29 will be shot down by the

F-15s successor the Raptor. so you may finally have the answer for our 40+ yr old F-15 but we have the answer for your MiG and its WAY better

  • @kmiwka US Fighter VS Russian Fighters= Dead Russian Fighters

  • @kmiwka Funny guy...Eagle wins...Raptor will kill them all....sorry......we're just a bi ahead....Russian birds are very good.....but never better

  • @BRIANROX1 and i bet American Planes wished they had Russian Fighter pilots!

  • f-15e crashed in afghanistan and turned into an improvised rotiserrie!!

  • @burner12 Well think about it if F 16 was batter than f 15 why will USA sell it as many countries as many USA has sold f 16 to

F 15 is batter thats why there are less countries own it

  • @burner12 Even a one-to-zero kill ratio is an 'infinite' kill ratio, and the F15 is not unique in having one. Lack of combat history doesn't prove a lack in combat capability; combat history owes itself more to politics than anything else. The Su27 has shot-down enemy aircraft as formidable as those encountered by the F15, and done so in third world environments without the electronic warfare/jamming support near-always used to shield U.S. and Israeli aircraft from enemy radar.

  • @burner12 Not to bash the F15, as I too am very fond of the aircraft; merely tto fight the belief some people have that the F15, by having never been shot-down by a MiG21 (representing the vast majority of its air-to-air kill tally), is somehow invincible versus contempory fourth-generation types (against which it has simply never faced-off in combat). The few MiG29 in its kill record were dilluted export A-variants with sub-Russian standard radars; incapable of penetrating coalition jamming.

  • @l2el3eLLi0uS Well that ought to teach other countries to buy American not Russian!

  • Probably among the top 5 of most successful fighter jets ever made. Arguments begin to fail in combat statistics against this bird. Show it before you shine it. Long live the Eagle. What a deadly beauty.

  • Man, i love this jet. You look at it, and even though it's a few decades old now, it still looks extremely modern with its sleek, sexy body. Yet it also looks like it's really been around for ages and battled through everything. It looks like it's been in a tonne of battles and survived every time thanks to its rugged and reliable design. A jet you can rely on! May she live on forever!

  • Nah, the lack of sleekness is what turns me onto the F15 ;)

  • to each his own i guess lol

  • They retired the F15? Ah shit, first the F14, then the F15. When is it time for teh F16, I hope not for years.

  • The F15 has certainly not been retired, it will be a sad day for me when it inevitably is, though, as it's my most favourite plane of all time.

According to Wikipedia the USAF plan to keep it in service until 2025. It is utilised by a number of countries, however, including Japan, so it'll likely be around for some time after that as it's one of the most successful plane to date with 0 air superiority losses.

    Thanks wikipedia!

  • or a stfu you dont know what your talking about

  • I love this song!!!

    But i dislike this plane

  • Best plane ever. Gonna try to fly one in a few years when i join the USAF.Nice vid by the way

  • is the air intake completely open at max speed or is it the reverse?

  • Completely open at max throttle setting, thus more air + fuel will give more thrust and thus more speed. It is not entirely dependent on speed.

    Hope this helps

  • Is it calculated in realtime depending on factors like speed and angle of attack as well, or is it a only function of throttle setting?

    Thx

  • hmmm. i am not sure about it. Since, throttle control changes the amount of air and fuel entering the engine, and after watching numerous videos, i can only say that it controls that, but im no expert,

U could find on wikipedia maybe.

    Hope this helps

  • so glad that my country's airforce is getting this bad ass plane....finest plane

  • Again. One of my favorites... The Air Forces finest...

  • Again, one of my favorites... Love the song to...

Beautiful bird..... the Air Forces Finest.

  • i sat in one of these in Hawaii it was AWESOME...

  • Nice job with the vid.

Yeah f-15's can out turn just about anything with the right pilot. As a young crewchief on f-15's back in about 1986, while TDY in Germany, I got an incentive ride in one of our (Eglins 33rdTFW/ 59th AMU) f-15B's. We pulled 8.1 g's turning inside of an f-16 in mock combat and got a kill. Pilot was Capt. D.T.F and he was really good. I'll never forget that ride!

  • Erm, the F-15 is good but it cannot out turn a flanker or a MiG-29 or a F22 or a Eurofighter or a Rafale or a Saab Gripen

  • nice screen name....

  • In the mid 1980s the USAF held mock dogfights between its own F-16s along with Soviet MiG-29s and SU-27 Flankers, the F-15C defeated all the aircraft without losing a single aircraft. The C model possess vast maneuverability over the SU-27 or the MiG-29 and the F-16, not to mention a more versatile payload. In addition there was the F-15 MTD/S Active which used vectored thrust and forward canards for increased mobility, its only competition is the EuroFighter Typhoon

  • looking for friends

    funny video lets chat oA

  • there is no school like oldschool

  • this plane is the perfect american fighter

  • great vid and plane

    thanks bro

  • nice video, just a little slow to buffer.\

  • lawl, I remember our instructors making us watch this after graduating from our tech school

  • KILL THAT FUCKIN SONG PLEASE!

  • why ?:)

  • All Pratt engines, except for one series of F110 ROKAF planes...but Korea is now back with the "Eagle" (P&W)

  • this is by far better than an su-27

  • unchallenged for 30 years, Not a bad rein.

The f-14 went unchallenged for as long also.

Hopefully the F-22 will fill her shoes. They cold add the +/- 15 azmith thrust vectoring the russians have on many of there newer migs. That will keep it in the air another 20 years, but the +/- 30' to 35' azmith of 2 axis vectoring on the f-22 is seperiour to the 15' rotating vectoring. A jet can turn at over 75' from initial point of engagement.

  • they cant intigrate the F-15 with stealth they would have to redesign the whole plane

The F-22 is pretty much an F-15 with stealth and vectored thrust

  • They can do a RAM stealth upgrade (radar absorbant polymers/coating) to the F15. It wouldn't be anywhere as efficient as the F22 since the airframe was actually designed to be stealthy (RAS).

  • F-14 Tomcat + F-15 Eagle = 2 bad ass planes that I and every fighter lover can't resist

  • true...true...

  • I heard their updating versions of the F-15! Can it get any better...LOL! I bet that if they upgraded the F-15 with stealth it would own the F-22!!! Why the heck did you say one plane that gets shot down is an example of why the plane is bad!?!? There isn't any other plane in the world with stats even close to that good!!! Name one other fighter that has landed with ONE wing!!!

  • im sick of hearing isreal pilots the american ones are the best!

  • well you never heard of an israeli pilot landing an F-15 with only one wing that collided with an A-4 Skyhawk with the right wing of the Eagle torn off roughly two feet (60 cm) from the fuselage. It WAS an ISRAELI pilot.

Or maybe you NEVER knew 2 American PILOTS were shot down in Iraq while flying their Strike Eagles.

  • 2 pilots, 2 wso's. one ran into the ground and the other was shot down by a SAM during a bombing mission in Gulf War I. the pair that was shot down survived. read "Strike Eagle: Flying the F-15E in the Gulf War" by William Smallwood.

  • Read it, have it in my library. I actually worked with some of aircrews interviewed in the book. GOOD BOOK!!

  • Are you kidding me? Are you seriously kidding me? What is war? My father is an F-15E pilot. Are you kidding me? Given the stats of war, you site one plane being lost? Research the stats and let me know any plane...worldwide that has a better service record...Are you serious? 2 pilots (bless them and their families) lost...and this is your argument towards something? The F-15 has been the paramount air-superiority model for decades now. Israeli pilots benefit, and I wish them well.

  • Thats REALLY, REALY, WRONG!! THE STRIKE EAGLES ACCOUNTED FOR 34 OF THE 37 AIR VICTORIES! IT WAS AN AMERICAN PILOT THAT LANDED WITH ONE WING. I HAVE THE BOOK RIGHT HERE THAT SHOWS THE EAGLE RECORDS. YOU SHOULD SHUT UP AND DROP DEAD.

  • The eagle that landed with one wing was an Israeli pilot, it happend during a training mission, and the F-15C was the one with the most kills here is the link to the video, Captain Svi Ladavi (I probably butchered his name)watch?v=-_EXtBEaBbs was the pilot,

  • Israeli F-15I and crews came here to Mountain Home and our pilots kicked there ass!! I have seen the 8mm tapes to prove it!!! FORTUNE FAVORS THE BOLD----TIGERS!

  • bless the BOLD TIGERS!! i think my old E-model is there now 90-0250. it was the best flying F-15 aircraft in the world for a while. that's why Boeing chose it as a demonstration aircraft for the Koreans(F-15K) my only crowning achievment!!

  • the song is perfect love it wat is it???

  • Where Eagles Fly by Sammy Hagar

  • the F-15 is 30 years old but their still building fighters to try to counter it today,

lets see if the F-22 can live up to that!!!

  • no shit, the F-15 is the greatest fighter in the world

  • gotta agree with you there

  • f-15 more capbable with load and better pilot

  • in a f-16 vs f-15e which would win???

  • F15E is a variant of the F15, it is more of an attack plane, meaning it is is meant for attacking ground targets. you want to know is what will win and F16D or an F15D. Both of those are variants configured for air to air combat. the answer is that they have such similar specifications that in this case who ever has a better pilot will win.

  • i would think a f16 would win

because the f16 is more manuverble and faster and also faster turning speed too

  • The F-16 is more manuverable but the F-15 is faster and more robust. Also the radar on the F-15 is extremly more advanced and more powerful. The F-16 has to carry its countermeasure system in a 500lb pod(ALQ-131) which limits its manuverabilty. The F-15 carry's its internally. The F-15 is a better aircraft.

  • actually, the f-15 is more manueverable. you must remember the HI-LO mix.

  • I work with both F-16 and F-15 pilots and they all say the same. F-16 is more manuverable but the F-15 is faster and has a more advanced/powerful radar. It is a mute point, aircrews say if you get close enough to use your guns you screwed up

  • Despite what they all say... winding up 'in close enough to use guns' is reality, even today and in the near future at least. Pilots will have to deal with it and not think about how they 'screwed up, etc'.

The plane they pilot better be a fully capable aircraft capable of dealing with gun fight (otherwise don't install the gun and save vital weight for more fuel, etc.)

The only tactics in which a gun wouldn't be anticipated is in long-range intercept, hit and run tactics.

    Respects.

  • actually the f-16 is more maneuverable, the f-15 is more powerful.

    F-15: 7.33 G's

    F-16: 9+ G's

  • Actually the F-15 can pull a little more G's than 7.3. The F-15 can pull 9+ G's as well. I got a ride and we pulled 8.1 G's.

  • I'd agree

  • Good vid!

  • hhahaahah that is god but f15 is clean sheet everybodi now the true.A true is the rusian pilot are the best sukhoy s37 is the best plane on the world in future rusia will bi destroy america.pozz from serbia

  • serbia bro, piic. Really su-37/47 are incredible prototype, just like x-31. But the old X-31 owns all moves :)

  • AWSOME!! As I recall, the F-15 was the first, if not the only, aircraft to break the sound barrier in a verticle climb. The Eagle set the new rate-of-climb record; Brake release to 98,000 feet in just over three minutes. The previous record was held by a Navy F-4B.

Sadly, the Eagle is being retired

  • Not for quite a while bro the defense department just ordered 200 more to be delivered over the next 5 years

  • Are these full service or is the Gaurd going to get them?

  • Well, if you go to Wikipedia it says that USAF are going to keep F-15s until 2025 which is a good thing. And what's even better that this legend can still sting and bite. Eat your heart out SU-27!

  • Nothing is ever certain in the defense world my friend, regardless of what DoD or a service branch or a commander will 'tell' you.

For all we know, in 5-6 yrs, the F-35 could be largely scaled back, F-22 grounded, and a new xtreme Super-Eagle 'XL' design produced to get things done! ;)

  • and why would the f22s be grounded then

they are already in active service now

  • that's what I'd love to see.

  • A F-15 has entirely too much thrust when it comes to comparing it with a MIG or Sukhoi. Why do 73% of foreign countries come to America to train? I.E. Red Flag and Top Gun. In other words, American pilot's aren't rookies. Final note; Why do other countries bash America, but in the end they base their military technology and strategy by U.S. standards?

  • suck-man listen to this....-because the mig 25/31 are the best aicrafts in the world, they are expensive to maintain so the russians are not so rich as the americans so the russians only have about 1000 of this aircrafts and the americans have over 15000 f-15 so thats why the russians have no chance of winning world war 3

  • HAHA X-D! Now you're just spewing out irrational excuses! LOL!

  • To be honest, MiG-25 and MiG-31 are very cheap compared to the F-15 (unit cost: €65.000.000). That's a lot compared to the unit cost of a modern new Su-30MKK (€35.000.000).

In addition, the USAF counts about 5,200 fighter aircraft. The Russian air force is the third largest in the world (Chinese second), with 2,500 thousand fighters.

  • YES, BUT....the Russians get barely any flight hours and their aircraft will never be in tip-top shape unlike the USAF or US NAVY

and i think spending an extra 30 mil on a combat proven plane is worth it

the F-15 is the best interceptor EVER BUILT

  • sheish i love that jet. i only flew it in fight sim but it was enough! i wanna fl one

  • Always believed it was the prettiest of MD's fleet.

  • I miss flying her!!! I have flown her in combat aginst the best anyone else can put up against her. She still can't be beat!! What a great fighter! When we had no restrictions on our ACM it would kick anyone ass!! Including MIG 29 ans SU 27 Never been shot down in A to A combat..... Never will!!!

  • Nice video. Almost makes miss working on this jet.

  • i agree with DeRobot98 but the bad thing is that their being retired and my opain they should just put f-22's skin on the f-15 if they di dthat the Eagle whould last a little bit longer

  • Nice vid! Can anybody tell me, what's the name of the song and who's the band? thx a lot

  • Where eagles fly By Sammy Hagar and Van Halen

  • I believe there has been some controversy over whether to build more f22s or f15s. If you take cost into account, you can build 5 f15s with the same money you can build one f22. Should we build few f22s or an armada of f15s?

  • Those of us who have crewed and flown the Eagle truly are a blessed brotherhood. -C.C. 54th FS Elmendorf AFB AK

  • The USAF plans to use this legendary flying machine in service with the F-22 until late 2030, what a relief to hear. And about the vid, I particulary liked the music because it was so inspirational, the F-15 has never been beaten in air-air combat and has 103 air victories to its name in history. No doubt it kick the SU-27,SU-35,SU-30 asses with pleasure, enjoyment and ease.

  • may the eagle fly on forever the eagle has

never bin downd sicne it first spred it's

wings to fly and it can fly with one wing.thares

NOTHING it'll blast anything out of the sky

including the f-22 raptor the eagle has no

    rivel need i say more.

  • true accept the last part the F-22 atcually 2 F-22 and 16 F-15C all of the eagles got shot down. the f-22 might not be able to fly on one wing we will find out when it gets into combat or training mission. I wish they would modify the F-15 so it will stay longer but the USAF says they do not want a fair fight. The F-15 will be the next P-51 in 50 years. May the F-15 live in are hearts forever. Cross Into The Blue and God Bless America!

  • get a life

  • you get a life

  • great vid

  • Thank you all for comments!

Now rate my vid with 5 stars and I will be happy. ^_^

  • Great vid!! I wish someone would land that beast in here at KPSB and take me for a ride. Thanks for posting!!

  • Hell makes me want to just leave work and go flying! Hell with sitting behind a desk, this is why I am continuing my aviation career :)

  • Cross I Into The Blue!

  • My kid was a crew chief on Eagles at Eglin a few years back. He sent me a disk of this video one Christmas. Brings back great memories. Thanks!

  • I love the video thanks.
