  • Too many errors in this video to even respond. Also Chile is not unique every country in the world has inequality and the rich and poor divide, what makes Chile so different? Well shot and filmed though

  • In Switzerland we are taught not to make videos like these... Extremely biased, unfounded, opinionated and hate mongering.

  • I went to chile 15 years ago, and now, again, and what I saw, is a country grown up, better conditions of life, and more education, health, transport, etc... but, I think is good you keep fighting for those people, who stil needs your help to live. Would be good, you recognize that the country is too much better now... Hugs.

  • ese documental creo que esta mal XD

  • lots of bad info bro, im chilean, not rich belive me and there's lots of errors.

    1. for each tree that goes down 2 must be planted. Probably Chile's green policy is better in here than in your country bro.

    2. if few ppl could buy a mcdonalds or other marks u say, there woudn't be so many in every city in Chile.

    3. Police is the best not only of southamerica, but is the most respected institution in the country by all polls.

  • @DANORES pinochetista weon?

  • @DANORES

Its true there are so many mistakes in this video, too many to mention

  • @DANORES

Your police are a bunch of torturing cowardly thugs.

  • The european specially the spaniards and english they always are finding other peoples or countries faults but they never finds their own flaws.

Specially the royal familes in Europe has a lot to hide.

By the way it's Chile is not the only country who suffers from unjustice and poverty, go to any country in Southamerica and you will find

more poverty and unjustice that you can't count.

It's seems that the author of this video has been influenced by the chilean leftist.

  • "in the past, beating up its own people was the favorite hobby of chilean armed forces"... Who are you to broadcast some big crap like that-- it's a friking lie!!. You don't know chilean armed forces, highly respected not because of the "force", but for its professsionalism. You are mean, more than objective, and you are not selling it.

  • @1MyNameisGladiator

i'm sure he dont mean they do it now,he said they use to do it,and that the police dont do that anymore.would you agree the rich keep the peasants poor?the whole vid was about the poverty of it's people, only a short minute mentioned the police.

  • This is a foolish distortion of the reality in chile. The average middle class person in Santiago or Concepcion or such other cities is much better off than its equivalent in other countries of the region such as Colombia, Venezuela and, arguably, Argentina.

  • The guy speaking has a chilean accent.

  • but sadly distributed between the rich, military, foreign companies leaving the common chilean people to miss out this situation will continue until the people stops watching tv and gets informed whats really going in the country, by the way by your accent i guess your from england? why you so intrested in chile? anyways nice video

    cheers from australia

  • hey mate,

congrats on the video spot on so true, im australian with chilean background i had the pleasure to live in chile for quite some time, i saw these issues even tho chile is better off than ever but still needs a radical change, chile is a wealthy country with rich resources.....

  • lal, typical american or european that tries to be a communist. LAL, dude you guys have no idea of what your talking about. Chile does much better than back then, we have biggest GDP per capita.

  • fuck off yank

    your country is a murderer

you live in wealth and excess cuz you guys kill for that.

  • actually they don't elkamalion. the "living standard" and "wealth" supposedly usanians live in is nothing but a lie. 5% of usanians hold 95% of all the money there. majority lives in poverty that matches that of chilean poor. As soon as you leave the centres of say LA or SF, the slums start. And they look so bad, Cuban or Chilean slums look like upmarket in comparison. Now yankis are receiving all their hipocrisy back by crumbling of their "democratic capitalism". Long overdue and well deserved.

Ignorantes no hablan ningun idioma.

  • Tu amigo mio no eres yanki.

  • Hey amigo, I did not have TV, Car, or washing machine in my childhood in Chile, but working you get that, circunstances are circunstances.

    muchos saludos Viva Chile!

  • This guy when to the extremes ..from the rich to the poor.. of course you will see a difference..no matter where you go in the world you'll see this ..this is pointless!! I was born and raised in middle class Santiago where it was not mention at all!!

  • I am not denying that Chile has made progress; of course, GDP growth is (and has been) extremely robust for some years, macro-economic indicators of growth look rosy, and levels of absolute poverty are very low.

  • But the central (and very valid) point that I am making is that when economic figures are disaggregated a different picture -- one of divide and inequality -- emerges; and no matter how impressive headline data may appear, life for many people in Chile remains tough and large sections of the population remain in a state of relative poverty.

  • My question is simply: Is this a healthy or misguided progress? And I would ask you: Is it wrong to expose progress as a lesser feat in the hope that we can aspire to a more egalitarian society? Or would you prefer to wait for the poor to come tearing down the iron gates of your mansion before giving them a second thought.

  • I read an article on Chile's poverty that pointed out that it's poverty is related to education. Chile isn't producing enough educated and trained students to fill the jobs that could lift many out of poverty.

  • this video is not fully correct, many things in this video isnt like he portraits them , im not saying hes lying or so but he is greatly misstaken on some things

  • these are the great accomplishments of the neo-liberal interventians and economical policies of the 70's and 80's that contributed to global capitalism..(Chile and Mexico) Capitalist sytem is set so these countries don't get to advance.. no equal distribution of economic wealth.. the only unchanging fact remains that the gap continues to widen..
