GUYS ! Hey ! What should i buy a class 5 combo or a Fender pro iii. I play everything : Black label society (metal) to jimi hendrix and other blues songs. I dont think the class 5 its good to metal but if you buy a high gain pedal like a mxr fulborre metal pedal it should play metal? And is it better with a head and cabinet or is it the same sound ? Sorry for my bad english and thank you if you reply :)
Little fast with the intro finger picking to babe i'm gonna leave you, just my opinion though. Everything else was pretty much spot on. nice playing, nice amp.
No master volume sucks. You have to crank the amp way beyond bedroom levels to get the nice tone this guy is getting. This amp gets really loud for 5 watts.
A great demo. Some good tones from this. Seems like all the other demos on here are a bit muddy. Almost got this, but went with a Blackstar because it seemed to eq / vol adjust better.
@jbmc111 one channel, no master volume. The louder you turn it up, the more distortion you get. Keep in mind, you won't get Metallica/Megadeth/Slayer type sounds out of this amp.
@GuitarRock6 Not sure I understood your comment. Are you asking if we can play "it" in a band and just forgot to type the "it", or are you asking if we (as in you and I) could play in a band that plays AC/DC, Aerosmith and blues? Sure, you can use this amp in that type of band, but you might need some kind of OD pedal. As for you and I playing in a band...I'm a really crappy guitar player. I'm sure you could find someone else who's up to the task :P
@GuitarRock6 No, no mistakes. I do the same thing all the time!
To be heard over a drummer...I'm not sure. maybe if the drummer doesn't play very loud. But then again, to play AC/DC, a drummer would have to hit the drums pretty hard, so it might be loud. To play blues I'm sure it'd be fine without a mic.
@GuitarRock6 I'm not sure, really. A Vox AC15 is sort of similar, but a bit more chimey. If you want a sound that's more detailed and three dimensional, you might want to save up a bit more money and get a Mesa Transatlantic or one of the new Mini Rectifiers they have coming out. There's a demo on youtube. They have el84's and you can get a woody, Marshall-esque sound out of them. The only thing is, they're 25W. I'm not sure if they have a low power mode.
hey i am looking to buy this although i have some questions. like when does it break up? cause i played it in a store but only turned it up to 2(volume) cause the guy there didnt want it to loud. and it didnt break up at all. but from what i got i loved it. also how loud is it. i would play it at my house in this back room thats apart from the main house. so would the neighbors hear it when its on 11!!
@gibsonsg995 There is a half/low power switch, so depending on how you play, it is possible. The amp probably wont sound as present as it does here, but still pretty good.
wow that guitar sounds great what kind of tele is that ? great playing by ythe way man i was thinking about getting this amp have you had any rattling or buzzing problems at high volumes
@NintendoSinceBirth1 Yeah, I own one of these. Theres a line output at the back of this amp. Just plug it in straight into the in house mixer or whatever. Great for small clubs!
i remember the first day i found your videos, it was a sunday night. The next morning, i faked sick so i didn't have to go to school. I did this just so i could autoplay all of your videos over and over again for like 12 hours. best day ever
It sounds so got damn flubby on these youtube videos. I have tried one for real and it was clean and crispy. It must be something with the bassfrequencies or youtube.
I am seriously considering the Class 5, but I was wondering how loud can it get before it starts to break up. I love the driven sound, but I also like a clean amp. So, can the clean sound get loud enough to play along with say an acoustic guitar player strumming loudly?
I HATE videos like this!!!! All they do is make me want to spend money on something I know I'll never make sound as good! Great playing and great demo! My bank account curses you You Tube!
Awesome man. Im getting one of these little bad boys for christmas and wondered what mic your using to record it? Looks like a condensor and it sounds really good man.
dude i saw when you switched to the les paul you turned the volume up to like 8 or somethin like that to get good classic marshall crunch is that good crunch volume round 8 or whatever is that good for house playin or is it really fuckin loud
I went through three of these amps the first one was sounding great until it started rattling the second was crackling after a few minutes of playing sent that back the third crackled really bad after 30 seconds made a crazy squealing noise then blew replaced fuse and tubes worked fine but when I touched tubes they made a booming noise I believe because the tubes hang in front of speaker it will be a problem the biggest problem may be the pc board led free solder in Europe is very poor, too bad
Great demo, great little amp and fantastic playing man! I don't have it at home but I use it during rehearsals and it's really loud enough to out-sound the drummer: he doesn't play as loud as Bonzo, but the loudness of this amp is surprising! Thanks for the vid ;-)
