You look amazing. I'm just about to start a similar journey but have been scared so far because of loose skin, after weight loss. But I guess the muscle fills it out, because you look like you don't have any. I'm going to watch your videos every day for inspiration. I'd be very happy to look even half as good as you. A lean, strong body is my goal. Thanks for showing me it can be done.
@MsChocolateFudgeCake Don"t be fearful of loose skin but be prepared for it. You will have hanging skin if you lose a large amount of weight, but it will shrink up with time and exercise and eating healthy. I still have some loose skin that annoys me at times, but it is a small price to pay for feeling so much happier and healthier. I won't ever look like a supermodel, but I am ok with that. Believe in yourself and make the changes necessary and you will attain your goals.
@mesunny75 Thank you. I've been watching all your videos this evening and taking notes. I need to lose about 100lbs and will be weight training and exercising from the start. You're truly inspirational...thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience.
@MsChocolateFudgeCake Thank you so much for subbing. Your comments are greatly appreciated. I sincerely hope my videos help you meet your goals! Best of luck to you on your journey!
@jsf525 Then it really makes no sense for you to say you liked me better fat...you have no clue what I was or am like on the inside, before or after my weight loss...kudos to you for looking past the exterior, though...you really don't need to explain yourself to me...I took no offense to your comments
@jsf525 LOL...not sure why you felt the need to comment, and sorry to burst your bubble, but your opinion doesn't really matter...good thing I LIKE ME better now! I have muscles and I LIKE THEM : )
I know you get a lot of questions about your weight loss. But I have one for you because I can relate. I'm 24. I was 235lbs when I was 18 and 125lbs, now. I changed my diet and I workout everyday. However, I have a extra skin on my belly (A little in my arms, too.) It is giving me a terrible anxiety about being in a bikini, but I feel like I've worked this hard to get to this size and can't show it off! Plastic surgery is VERY tempting, but is there hope for me to lose it with excercise alone???
@iLadyProgress I completely understand what you are saying and I also have excess skin on various parts of my body. I have seen great improvement over the last several years as I continue to exercise and eat right, but it hasn't completely disappeared and I don't really expect it ever will. It is very frustrating to me at times, but surgery would only be for vanity and there are possible complications (plus it costs a lot). I know I'm in the best shape I've ever been & that's what matters most.
@bigbossyousef I didn't prove that loose skin is a myth but that it can and will tighten if appropriate steps are taken...and not all people will have the exact same results because there are too many variables. People who don't lose weight because they don't want loose skin do themselves a huge disservice.
@yemonja100 Started out walking every day, progressed to kickboxing videos and step aerobics, and I added in weight training 2-3x each week. It has been a steady progression, and I have always been very consistent with my exercise. Now, I try to get some sort of exercise most days of the week. I am doing pilates 2-3x weekly and still weight training 2-4x weekly and I move as much as I can. I don't sit around in front of the tv for hours...I also eat way healthier and am consistent with my diet.
@007auntbek I can't tell you any one thing that I did to firm up my skin. As I've said in other comments, I still have excess skin, but it isn't nearly as saggy as it was initially. Time, consistent exercise (including weight training), and good nutrition have all had a part in firming the skin. I've also used some firming creams to moisturize and help keep my skin healthy (cheap, over-the-counter lotions, such as St. Ives). Age also plays a role. i was under 30 when I lost the weight.
muscle looks great on women. i wish more people would appreciate it. when you mention the topic most people instantly think of huge, female bodybuilders that have a manly voice and take steroids.
@hardstyle905 ; ) I agree...and yes, unfortunately, a lot of women seem to think that if they lift a little weight they are going to look like men...little do they know that it's muscle that gives the body shape!
@sharkeatyou2 You must remember that losing weight is not just about looking better! You need to think about the health aspects, too. Don't be so afraid of saggy skin; it's much easier to deal with than the massive amounts of fat. It can be difficult to to come to terms with the way your "new" body will look at first, but with time and good habits, it will improve. I always told people that I looked great as long as my clothes were on...I am very self-critical.

@hartstyler you can think what you want, but it's real! I still have some excess skin. I've posted another video of what I look like now and show the excess skin that I have and stretch marks. I am still fairly young and lost the weight before age 30. I had a lot more hanging skin within the first year of hitting my goal, but with time, healthy eating and lots of exercise the majority of it has shrunk up. I've maintained my healthy lifestyle and weight now for over 6 years.
First let me say, you look better with brown hair, but you look gorgeous throughout the entire video.
Second...0.o WOW! That was a HUGE change. I love the muscle you got. Most people have saggy skin when they lose that much wait, but you made muscle out of it and it looks amazing! I envy you.
@PouPeeBeRBeRe Thanks, and NO I have not had a tummy tuck. I still have a pretty good size flap of excess skin around my abominal area, but nothing like what was there before : )
i watched this video the last 9 months over and over and stil think its great.Thats something you must be verry proud of.you where my trigger to begin 9 months ago so far i lost 25 kg still long way to go but i am sure that i wil get there.I think you look great and happy and for people like jackhammer get a live.Negative people are no good for people that would like to lose a bit and get in shape i use my energie now only for other positive people and myself. sorry for the spelling
@fupperke Thanks so much for your comments. You're well on your way to your goal so just keep going! Don't let anyone detour you or bring you down. Negativity is definitely something to avoid, even within our own thoughts. Stay positive! You are doing a great thing for yourself by losing the extra weight!
I think you look great. All the people in the vid look like you . No need to expalin yourself to everyone. What you did was very positive, some people can't handle that. Great Job!
First of all congrats! I am amazed and awed by your weight loss. I have a few questions I hope you don't mind answering. 1 -How long did it take you to have your skin tighten up? I have been progressively losing weight but I have that ugly loose skin around my belly that I can't seem to get rid of. The rest of me seems to be toning up and tightening pretty well, just the belly chub won't go away.2- Do you have any recommendations on how or what works best to tone up the tummy? Thanks!
@sadistickitty1977 Thanks! I'd say the skin on my stomach and breasts shrunk to half of what it was within a year of maintaining my weight and has progressively gotten better. I still have extra skin all over, though, just not nearly as much. I highly recommend pilates for tightening the tummy and core and stay active as much as possible. I've done weighted ab exercises to build up my ab muscles and that's why they are somewhat visible under the skin.
You look great! Ignore people like this jackhammer guy. Some people can't accept that we aren't all made the same and it is obvious that the pictures are of the same person.
Congratulations on all your hard work. I know what it feels like to have so much left over skin but you've done beautifully to shape your body up. I admire that a lot.
skeptical thinking and negative thinking are different things.
i'm a tall 60 year old man. i still have stretch marks along my hips near my waist from a growth spurt when i was 14 years old. they don't go away.
i don't know why you'd invent this backstory. i could be wrong, but you wouldn't be the first.
to others reading this, i can't say for certain i'm correct, but don't presume just because this vid is here that it's real. this is youtube for chrissake.
@jackhammer111 I'm just as skeptical as you...so I don't blame anyone for questioning the validity of my video or any other video on youtube. I know that people are more apt to believe that my success is unattainable than to believe I'm real because that way they allow themselves to believe it's not worth even trying to change themselves. I'll do you one better than finding an in between pic. My next video will show the signs I still have from allowing myself to become so overweight.
the subject isn't whether that kind of loss is possible, it's about did you lose it. the fat girl in the pics, i like fat girls btw, has extremely large hips legs and bottom. the girl at 1:21of this vid, showing hot only thighs and bottom but hard belly as well, shows no excess skin, no stretch marks. it's the same with the back of the arms. i've been naked with a couple of women who had huge weight-loss. you can lose huge amounts of weight, you don't lose huge amounts of skin at the same time.

@jackhammer111 You are correct in saying the "fat girl" had extremely large hips and bottom...the smaller version still has large hips and an ample backside. You are also correct in saying that people who lose large amounts of weight don't lose the large amount of skin at the same time...believe me, I know. If I had actually taken pics of myself with my saggy boobs and god-awful hanging apron of gut that I had within the first year or so of the loss, I'm sure you'd be much more apt to believe.
@jackhammer111 Every picture in this video is of me. You have to remember that seeing a picture is not always the same as seeing someone right in front of your eyes. My pics have not been photoshopped, either. People can pose in certain ways as to make the body look better. Most people don't take and post bad photos of themselves. Maybe if I pointed out to you what to look for, you'd see what I see every time I look in the mirror or at a photo of myself.
i hate to say it, but i'm a born septic. the picture at 24 seconds don't like like the same person at 27 seconds. the new girl is in my estimation at least 80 pounds smaller than the previous pics. besides not even looking like the same person, where are the pics between those 2. that had to have been 4 months to a year. why no pictures. why is the rest of this whole video of a person that is thin. not a hint of extra shin or stretch marks. no sign of massive loss. this is a fake.
@jackhammer111 It's quite alright that you are skeptical...but this isn't a fake! I assure you that I am the same person in every picture. If you can't tell, I like to change my appearance. The differences in the first pics is mostly due to the timing. When I was fat, I hated having my picture taken. Now, I wish I had taken monthly progression pics. I probably could have found a couple more half-way pics if I'd have searched. I only took that photo because I was submitting a success story.
@mesunny75 The half-way pic was taken about 8 months after I started losing the weight and I estimate I was around 195 lbs (a loss of 75 lbs). Believe me, even if the excess skin and stretch marks don't seem visible to you in the pics, they are there. I'm not really sure why it seems so difficult to believe but your negative thinking is pretty typical and is what prevents the majority of people from actually losing weight in the first place.
@Bars24Seven I lost a total of 125 lbs...started at 270 and hit my goal of 145...I've been as low as 137 lbs and am now right at 152 lbs. It took me about a year and a half to hit my goal weight and I have been within 10 lbs of that weight for about 5 years now.
Out of curiosity, did you find that building muscle helped allude to the reduction of the excess skin? My entire life is a weight loss journey (I'm also on Weight Watchers; 34 pounds down!!). I'd really like to start lifting heavier weights after I lose more weight in hopes that the muscle will help fill in where the fat was. It makes sense in my head but I've never personally done it yet. And congratulations to you on your success!!! You look amazing!
@Lesbiona Thank you for your comment! Building and sculpting muscle definitely helps with getting the excess skin to shrink up! Eating clean and drinking plenty of water also helps. Depending on how much weight you lose and how elastic your skin is, building your muscle will most likely not fill out all the excess skin, but you will give your body a much better shape.
Hey Mes, I have a question. How did you avoid the loose excess skin or did you have it surgically removed. Being obese, you usually have LOTS of saggy skin. I lost 80+ Pounds (1/3rd of my body weight) and struggle with a LOT of excess skin. I wonder how you tackled the problem. Thanks.
@Utuber1951 If you read through the comments on this video, you'll see many others have asked the same question. I do still have plenty of excess skin, especially on my upper arms, inner thighs and abdominal areas. I have done weight training throughout my weight loss in addition to cardio. I truly believe that using weights and being consistent with exercise has helped the skin bounce back. I also use firming creams (St. Ives anit-cellulite cream) and keep my diet fairly clean.
@Utuber1951 Great job! Time and consistent exercise and good eating will all help the skin bounce back. When it comes to skin, your age and skin elasticity are factors to consider, also. I know that I will always have the reminders that I once let my body go to extremes and it is frustrating to realize that that saggy skin will be there no matter how hard I work to get rid of it. I just keep working and hoping it will shrink back a little at a time.
Thanks. I have been sticking to walking and stomach crunches. However, due to the fact I lost 36-37%of my body weight 227 > 146 and I'm 5'4 the excess skin problem seems to plague me. I guess weight training might help some but I don't see myself sticking to a weight training regiment. So far, I have keep the weight off for a few yrs. I was @ 136 and leveled off at 146 + or - few pounds. Maybe St Ives anti cellulite is worth a short. Thanks.
@Utuber1951 Even if you are not fond of the idea of "weight training" , some sort of muscle sculpting exercises may help. Perhaps bodyweight exercises such as squats, lunges, push-ups, varying forms of abdominal work....or pilates. Stay as active as possible and definetly use some sort of skin firming lotion. Even though the excess skin is frustrating, don't short-change yourself on the fact that you have done an awesome thing by losing the excess fat!
@Sheblobbers Thanks for the comment! I still have some sagging skin, but not nearly as bad as it would be if I hadn't done strength training and body sculpting exercises throughout my weight loss. The key is to exercise throughout the weight loss and not wait until you lose all the weight to start doing the exercise.
@luveraaab I had some muscle under the fat, but no, I built most of it after losing the weight. My leg muscles have always been quite strong and large, though, as would be expected from having to carry around a 270 lb body.
dman ur lookig hot lol... ok i started workign out as well... i like ur abs.. im in total luv:)..so did u take any pills.. liek to relax the muscles or amino acdis to recover energy? plz hellp!!!
@GotiMosi Thanks. I have used some supplements in the past few years, but not until after I lost the majority of the weight. I've used fat burners like Lipo 6, Hydroxycut, Xenadrine, and Animal Cuts from time to time. I've also supplemented with protein powder and creatine when I was adding muscle. Supplements are only good if you have cleaned up your nutritional intake and are following a good exercise routine.
@ckgbryan I used the Weight Watcher's system for my initial weight loss, keeping track of Points; I began to eat more vegetables, less fat and more fiber. I started moving more. I simply walked everyday and started lifting weights and then added other cardio and different types of exercise as I lost the weight. I now eat less processed foods and still stick to a low fat, high fiber diet.
usually when people loose a lot of weight , they face the problem of saggy skin.. in the belly and arms and thight.. and they have to go throu surgeries..!
so my question is.. did u had this kind of surgeries..? if u didnt.. ! can u please tell me what did u do to avoid this problem:) thanks in advance
@LGnaWiYa I haven't had any surgeries to remove excess skin and yes, I do have plenty of excess. After the initial weight loss, my stomach and breasts were very saggy. I continued to exercise and started using firming creams to help my skin bounce back. It has taken time, but the skin has bounced back enough that most people would never realize that I was ever 125 lbs heavier. There is no avoiding excess skin if you are extremely overweight, but excess skin is more favorable than excess fat.
Thank you for this wonderful video. You are an inspiration. Your hard work really paid off. I guess when you make such a wonderful video and accomplish so much, there are bound to be hateful and probably jealous people who say such terrible things. I wish those people could make a journey like yours and turn themselves into kind and loving people. Thanks again.
@BJenny38 Thanks for your encouragement! I am a strong person and I know that people who lack self esteem tend to strike out and attempt to make others feel worse than they do about themselves. It's quite unfortunate that so many negative people feel the need to bring others down. I believe you get back what you give out...negative thinking brings negative results. I do my best to be a positve person.
I think you look great! Do you have any advice for those of us who are still stuck in our fat bodies lol? And how long did this amazing transformation take you? GOOD JOB!
@minderae2008 Thanks! I have plenty of advice for people who really want to change their bodies and have done a few other videos with that advice (with more to come in the future). It took me about a year and a half to lose the entire amount of weight and I will always consider my body a work in progress. After losing the weight, I have had to focus on sculpting my muscles and letting my skin bounce back (at least as much as possible).
@luveraaab I can't really agree fully with this statement...although it is partly true due to the fact that the heavier a person is, the more muscle it takes to move that person around so my leg muscles were and are quite large. I worked pretty hard to build the muscles everwhere and even out my proportions as I tend to carry my weight in my lower body :)
Wow, that is incredible the difference and everything. I am truly inspired. Thanks you for the video, i love seeing everyday people, that work hard to get the weight loss without surgery, because its not fair to the ones who are still overweight but not enough to be considered a surgery candidate, not doubt people who have surgery lose weight and look great, but i think its much more meaninful to do it the hard way like you did. Congrats:)
You look amazing! Thank you for remembering those of us who need the motivational push! Can you tell me what was the first type of exercise that you engaged in or rather the most effective at your heaviest weight? What was the frequency of the exercises, etc?
@truenubianqueen Thank you! The first exercise that I really did with good results was plain old walking. I started walking a little everyday, gradually building up to longer walks. I also bought a Tony Little Gazelle for days when I couldn't get outside.
@jeorwa about a year and a half to lose all the weight...but I consider myself a work in progress...my body has become much more sculpted since the original weight loss and continues to get better...It's been over 5 years since I hit my goal weight.
122 and 213 what happened here? No I'm not trying to be a pain just wondering what happened to the tat in 122? it wasn't there in 213, I'm just asking. Can't help it somethings not right with these two pictures. Oh and yes I know I need to lose a total of 110 to 120 ... I'm not questioning the weight lost. It's the tats at 122 and 213.
@deloresclark55 ummmm....not sure what you're referring to...the tattoo is visible in both pics, just more covered in the one at 213. The whole tat is visible in the first pic and it is partially covered by the bikini bottom in the second (and it's a completely different angle). Good luck with your goals.
Thanks for the photos....great results, you should be very proud of your new body. I don't even see the 'stretched skin'...I have stretch marks too, and would be thrilled to achieve your results. Off to work out now, LOL.
@tubewatcher314 this lady looks AMAZING considering what she used to look like. and obviously worked extremely hard..so for you to make a comment about her stretched skin is RIDICULOUS..
@zoebalhon the BEST thing about America is that I have freedom of speech. She put herself on a public forum. Not everyone has to LIKE what I said - but if you place yourself in this forum, you have the chance that not everyone in the world has to LIKE it. I am not commenting about her as a person - but I did make a true statement. That being said - if she is strong enough, she wont care. Seems she is, so why do YOU care? A delete button for the owner is always there..just makes her stronger.
@smily714 hmmmmm....exactly what do you think you need as proof? I only had one of my tats before losing the weight and it is on my ankle. All the others came after the weight loss...and in fact the butterfly tat I have on my right inner forearm is in celebration and rememberance of my accomplishment! You can think whatever you want...but I'm for real :D
hey you reall give me inspiration to lose weight!!!! i have already signed up at the gym for a workout class. awesome will power girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Abdominoplasty would count as surgery, maybe not to lose weight, but you've certainly had it done, as you have no 'apron' of skin that you cannot avoid after such huge weight loss. Saying that, you have done very well indeed. You should mention the abdominoplasty though!
@LurkingCrassZero I know what classifies as surgery! I have not had an abdominoplasty or any other cosmetic type surgeries. There is still a small apron of skin that I can pull out with my hands, but nothing like there was immediately after the weight loss. Believe it or not, the skin does shrink over time and with proper nutrition and exercise!
Well, you look great that goes without saying. If you truly have not had that surgery, your VERY lucky, and must have very good skin, as the mojority of people would require surgery to remove the apron of skin. Good job anyways. You do not look in your thirties either, that's for sure!
I'm sitting here by myself, watching this and my face is lighting up with happiness for you!!!!!!!!!!!!! To call you an "inspiration" barely scratches the surface. You are incredible!!!!!!! You go, girl!!!
You look amazing. I'm just about to start a similar journey but have been scared so far because of loose skin, after weight loss.

I always told people that I looked great as long as my clothes were on...I am very self-critical.
mesunny75 1 year ago
@sharkeatyou2 I can't tell you any one thing that I did to firm up my skin. Ives). Age also plays a role. i was under 30 when I lost the weight.
mesunny75 1 year ago
what happened to all the additional skin?
have to call fake on this ..
hartstyler 1 year ago
@hartstyler you can think what you want, but it's real! I still have some excess skin. I've posted another video of what I look like now and show the excess skin that I have and stretch marks. I am still fairly young and lost the weight before age 30. I had a lot more hanging skin within the first year of hitting my goal, but with time, healthy eating and lots of exercise the majority of it has shrunk up. I've maintained my healthy lifestyle and weight now for over 6 years.

Thanks!
sadistickitty1977 1 year ago
@sadistickitty1977 Thanks! I'd say the skin on my stomach and breasts shrunk to half of what it was within a year of maintaining my weight and has progressively gotten better. I still have extra skin all over, though, just not nearly as much. I highly recommend pilates for tightening the tummy and core and stay active as much as possible. I've done weighted ab exercises to build up my ab muscles and that's why they are somewhat visible under the skin.

skeptical thinking and negative thinking are different things.
i'm a tall 60 year old man. i still have stretch marks along my hips near my waist from a growth spurt when i was 14 years old. they don't go away.
i don't know why you'd invent this backstory. i could be wrong, but you wouldn't be the first.
to others reading this, i can't say for certain i'm correct, but don't presume just because this vid is here that it's real. this is youtube for chrissake.
jackhammer111 1 year ago

If I had actually taken pics of myself with my saggy boobs and god-awful hanging apron of gut that I had within the first year or so of the loss, I'm sure you'd be much more apt to believe.
mesunny75 1 year ago
@jackhammer111 Every picture in this video is of me. You have to remember that seeing a picture is not always the same as seeing someone right in front of your eyes. My pics have not been photoshopped, either. People can pose in certain ways as to make the body look better. Most people don't take and post bad photos of themselves. Maybe if I pointed out to you what to look for, you'd see what I see every time I look in the mirror or at a photo of myself.
mesunny75 1 year ago
i hate to say it, but i'm a born septic. the picture at 24 seconds don't like like the same person at 27 seconds. the new girl is in my estimation at least 80 pounds smaller than the previous pics. besides not even looking like the same person, where are the pics between those 2. that had to have been 4 months to a year. why no pictures. why is the rest of this whole video of a person that is thin. not a hint of extra shin or stretch marks. no sign of massive loss. this is a fake.
jackhammer111 1 year ago
@jackhammer111 It's quite alright that you are skeptical...but this isn't a fake! I assure you that I am the same person in every picture. If you can't tell, I like to change my appearance. The differences in the first pics is mostly due to the timing. When I was fat, I hated having my picture taken. Now, I wish I had taken monthly progression pics. I probably could have found a couple more half-way pics if I'd have searched. I only took that photo because I was submitting a success story.
mesunny75 1 year ago
@mesunny75 The half-way pic was taken about 8 months after I started losing the weight and I estimate I was around 195 lbs (a loss of 75 lbs). Believe me, even if the excess skin and stretch marks don't seem visible to you in the pics, they are there. I'm not really sure why it seems so difficult to believe but your negative thinking is pretty typical and is what prevents the majority of people from actually losing weight in the first place.

Lesbiona 1 year ago
@Lesbiona Thank you for your comment! Building and sculpting muscle definitely helps with getting the excess skin to shrink up! Eating clean and drinking plenty of water also helps. Depending on how much weight you lose and how elastic your skin is, building your muscle will most likely not fill out all the excess skin, but you will give your body a much better shape.
mesunny75 1 year ago
@mesunny75
Thanks.
Utuber1951 1 year ago
@Utuber1951 If you read through the comments on this video, you'll see many others have asked the same question. I do still have plenty of excess skin, especially on my upper arms, inner thighs and abdominal areas. I have done weight training throughout my weight loss in addition to cardio. I truly believe that using weights and being consistent with exercise has helped the skin bounce back. I also use firming creams (St. Ives anit-cellulite cream) and keep my diet fairly clean.
mesunny75 1 year ago
@mesunny75
I should add, I lost my weight through Diet Change / Walking Alone over about 2.5 - 3 years. It was done gradually.
Utuber1951 1 year ago
@Utuber1951 Great job! Time and consistent exercise and good eating will all help the skin bounce back. When it comes to skin, your age and skin elasticity are factors to consider, also. I know that I will always have the reminders that I once let my body go to extremes and it is frustrating to realize that that saggy skin will be there no matter how hard I work to get rid of it. I just keep working and hoping it will shrink back a little at a time.
mesunny75 1 year ago
@mesunny75
Thanks.
Utuber1951 1 year ago
@Utuber1951 Even if you are not fond of the idea of "weight training" , some sort of muscle sculpting exercises may help. Perhaps bodyweight exercises such as squats, lunges, push-ups, varying forms of abdominal work....or pilates. Stay as active as possible and definetly use some sort of skin firming lotion. Even though the excess skin is frustrating, don't short-change yourself on the fact that you have done an awesome thing by losing the excess fat!

Sheblobbers 1 year ago
@Sheblobbers Thanks for the comment! I still have some sagging skin, but not nearly as bad as it would be if I hadn't done strength training and body sculpting exercises throughout my weight loss. The key is to exercise throughout the weight loss and not wait until you lose all the weight to start doing the exercise.

Can you tell me what your secret was to all this? Obviously you worked out. How about your diet, what regime did you have?
ckgbryan 1 year ago
@ckgbryan I used the Weight Watcher's system for my initial weight loss, keeping track of Points; I began to eat more vegetables, less fat and more fiber. I started moving more. I simply walked everyday and started lifting weights and then added other cardio and different types of exercise as I lost the weight. I now eat less processed foods and still stick to a low fat, high fiber diet.

Hello dear..
i would like to ask you a question please..
usually when people loose a lot of weight , they face the problem of saggy skin.. in the belly and arms and thight.. and they have to go throu surgeries..!
so my question is.. did u had this kind of surgeries..? if u didnt.. ! can u please tell me what did u do to avoid this problem:) thanks in advance
LGnaWiYa 1 year ago
@LGnaWiYa I haven't had any surgeries to remove excess skin and yes, I do have plenty of excess. After the initial weight loss, my stomach and breasts were very saggy. I continued to exercise and started using firming creams to help my skin bounce back. It has taken time, but the skin has bounced back enough that most people would never realize that I was ever 125 lbs heavier. There is no avoiding excess skin if you are extremely overweight, but excess skin is more favorable than excess fat.

luveraaab 1 year ago
@luveraaab I can't really agree fully with this statement...although it is partly true due to the fact that the heavier a person is, the more muscle it takes to move that person around so my leg muscles were and are quite large. I worked pretty hard to build the muscles everwhere and even out my proportions as I tend to carry my weight in my lower body :)

Abdominoplasty would count as surgery, maybe not to lose weight, but you've certainly had it done, as you have no 'apron' of skin that you cannot avoid after such huge weight loss. Saying that, you have done very well indeed. You should mention the abdominoplasty though!
LurkingCrassZero 1 year ago
@LurkingCrassZero I know what classifies as surgery! I have not had an abdominoplasty or any other cosmetic type surgeries. There is still a small apron of skin that I can pull out with my hands, but nothing like there was immediately after the weight loss. Believe it or not, the skin does shrink over time and with proper nutrition and exercise!
mesunny75 1 year ago
@LurkingCrassZero By the way, thanks for the compliment...I apparently must look pretty good if you truly think I've had an abdominoplasty :)
mesunny75 1 year ago
@mesunny75
Well, you look great that goes without saying. If you truly have not had that surgery, your VERY lucky, and must have very good skin, as the mojority of people would require surgery to remove the apron of skin. Good job anyways. You do not look in your thirties either, that's for sure!
