Its one of the fastest spikes out there. A decent monk/infuser can easily outheal any spike thats why you need him knocked down, dazed or heavily pressured. Plus the crux of the build is the instant recharge of skills and energy gain so that you're always ready for a kill.

Indeed, you're not spiking the monk, you're spiking another soft target. But you have to shutdown the monk so that he doesn't heal. There is not a single solo spike build out there which an infuser can't outheal. You spike while your teammates disable the monk. That said this build is intended for AB and competitive missions, where teams are selected at random, and you can easily find a soft target without a monk around. :)

It's like WoW; Guild wars, Guild wars factions, Guild wars Nightfall are all separate games but you can link them together on one account so you can have all the skills, all the characters can go to each continent that each campaign offers. If you made different accounts for each campaign, you'd only be able to play each campaign on each account instead of one character-8 characters going to all of them. Eye of the north is just an expansion. Guild wars 2 isn't out yet until 2010.

Back when everyone thought assassin sucks pve I made an assassin(means the first few weeks of faction).

And NOONE took assassins in groups so I had to do most missions alone and I'm done with faction :P so it says I'm good with assassin(even thought I dont play assassin anymore^^ I prefer dervish and elementalist more).

And I hate playing monk :P

Solid, but yeah the 45sec of recharge on Shadow Fang hurts, if target doesn't go down or you get interrupted (KD etc.)

That said this is probably on of the few ways that skill is useful.
