I got bored of iOS, thought I'd try Android... Galaxy S2 screen is horrid... Bigger screen, lower res = inferior pic quality... Immense black levels, terrible white levels, = screen looking off colour at times and colours over saturated... doesn't operate as smoothly...

I criticised the screen... the res is lower and spread across a larger surface, therefore lower pixel density... look at completely white screen on your GS2, now tilt it slightly and watch it turn yellow/green... You can't deny that... For me, the screen quality I couldn't look at all the time... Android as an OS has its benefits, and there are features I like, but the screen is awful!
The bottom line to this argument is: everything the iPhone 4S does, the Galaxy S2 does better(period)

I am android fan, still i would like to say that even though 4S has 1 Ghz Cortex A9 processor, it has got most powerful Mobile GPU ever, PowerVR SGX543V2 is most powerful & fastest GPU in any smartphone till date, this is atleast twice more powerful than Galaxy S2s Maali 400 MP. 4S Display, really impressive though not as gr8 as S2s Super AMOLED, Camera is slightly better. I am sure Galaxy S3 will surpass it quite easily.
I'll add to my below comment(s) that I am an avid iPad 2 user, preferring it to any past Android tablets owned (x3 : Motorola, Samsung & Asus). But my love for the wonderfully smooth experience that is my chosen Apple tablet doesnt prevent me from seeing the need for improvement(s) or believing that within the world of electronics, Apple is NOT the One Ring.

Since when are Android apps terrible? Turn off auto sync GPS and Wifi and I'm sure your android will last longer (or have battery issues like iPhone 4s). Another solution is to buy a battery charger and switch batteries because you can do that with android phones. Why would I pay for iTunes music when I can download music from.my computer for free? Too lazy to do that? My Samsung galaxy 2 doesn't lag but apple sure does with their annual phone "upgrades." My basic flip phone can change wallpaper

I love my android. It doesn't matter that the apps are terrible, I still love it. I don't mind it being so huge because it's great for watching videos. I know the battery is terrible and wont last long with the huge screen sucking all the power out of it, but I still love it.

@Timbology The only false statements are boot time, cameras, sound quality difference, and the relevance of the apps. Apple does not have the best sound quality due to it being a huge music company. In fact many companies have better sound than iPods and iPhones. I'm not saying my phone is one of them, but I do care about my sound quality and have no complaints with my S2 and my beats headphones.
Internet is not 3x faster (try 2 seconds faster). iPhone 4s start up time is faster. iPhone 4s video and picture quality is better. iPhone 4s screen is has much higher resolution (retina display). 4g is only about 3 seconds faster depending on carrier and connection. iPhone 4 has a much larger app store. iPhone 4s have much better sound quality and is partially made for music. iPhone 4s has a smaller screen and can break easier :( basically the only thing that is better for Galaxy SII
@Timbology Boot time is better on the S2, the cameras are at best comparable (both have strengths), the resolution is noticeable in some cases but the S2's screen is much more vivid and blacks are perfect, I have HSPA+ @ 21mbps everywhere I go and it is much faster, app store is a wash (400k v. 500k) no huge difference in quality and both offer different and great things, sound is fine on my end for calls and music, and yes my phone isn't as fragile as Brett Favre. PS itunes also works on the S2
@Timbology The boot time on GS2 is actually faster. A few fan made reviews put the 4s a t better in cam and video, but majority of reviews and samples clearly state otherwise. At stock the 4s cam is faster and it takes brighter pics. That is an advantage and disadvantage. In lowish light no flash 4s brightens looks a little better. in normal light it still brightens and gets too bright. In low light GS2 has better flash. What this video demonstrates is the familiarity factor. There used to be a time when Windows was pathetic vs OS X, and yet, because people were not familiar with Mac, were hard to sell. @ghorardim0 Who cares about flash? ICS does not even have flash support right now, and Adobe isn't updating their mobile flash player. It was a nice experiment, but that's about all it was. My iPhone does most smartphone functions just as well as any of my Android phones did. I use my phone for more than surfing facebook and watching youtube. For me, it has better enterprise support to sync my calenders, emails, contacts with outlook, which my Android phone NEVER did well.

Since when are Android apps terrible? Turn off auto sync GPS and Wifi and I'm sure your android will last longer (or have battery issues like iPhone 4s). Another solution is to buy a battery charger and switch batteries because you can do that with android phones. Why would I pay for iTunes music when I can download music from.my computer for free? Too lazy to do that? My Samsung galaxy 2 doesn't lag but apple sure does with their annual phone "upgrades." My basic flip phone can change wallpaper

I love my android. It doesn't matter that the apps are terrible, I still love it. I don't mind it being so huge because it's great for watching videos. I know the battery is terrible and wont last long with the huge screen sucking all the power out of it, but I still love it.
I know the music centre isn't great, but you can find what you're looking for eventually,
It doesn't matter to me how cheap it feals, I keep it in my handbag.
I'm very slow, so the lag doesn't bother me as I lag more.

@Timbology The only false statements are boot time, cameras, sound quality difference, and the relevance of the apps. Apple does not have the best sound quality due to it being a huge music company. In fact many companies have better sound than iPods and iPhones. I'm not saying my phone is one of them, but I do care about my sound quality and have no complaints with my S2 and my beats headphones.

Internet is not 3x faster (try 2 seconds faster). iPhone 4s start up time is faster. iPhone 4s video and picture quality is better. iPhone 4s screen is has much higher resolution (retina display). 4g is only about 3 seconds faster depending on carrier and connection. iPhone 4 has a much larger app store. iPhone 4s have much better sound quality and is partially made for music. iPhone 4s has a smaller screen and can break easier :( basically the only thing that is better for Galaxy SII

@Timbology Boot time is better on the S2, the cameras are at best comparable (both have strengths), the resolution is noticeable in some cases but the S2's screen is much more vivid and blacks are perfect, I have HSPA+ @ 21mbps everywhere I go and it is much faster, app store is a wash (400k v. 500k) no huge difference in quality and both offer different and great things, sound is fine on my end for calls and music, and yes my phone isn't as fragile as Brett Favre. PS itunes also works on the S2

What this video demonstrates is the familiarity factor. There used to be a time when Windows was pathetic vs OS X, and yet, because people were not familiar with Mac, were hard to sell. Apple did the smart thing this time and got their iPhone to device to market first, overtaking the market. @ghorardim0 Who cares about flash? ICS does not even have flash support right now, and Adobe isn't updating their mobile flash player. It was a nice experiment, but that's about all it was. My iPhone does most smartphone functions just as well as any of my Android phones did. I use my phone for more than surfing facebook and watching youtube. For me, it has better enterprise support to sync my calenders, emails, contacts with outlook, which my Android phone NEVER did well.
