I fell in love with this wonderful woman and was looking forward to seeing more of her work in film only to find we have all lost a wonderful talented & beautiful woman. May our God truly Bless her in His light of Heaven....
Japan and Brittany Murphy. Two of my favorite things in this movie. I've watched this movie so many times now. I can empathize with Abby a lot in the movie. Brittany always made me laugh, she was so fun to watch. It's a shame I will never see anything new from her.
Can anyone explain to me the scene at the end when she's standing on the shrine and her sensei gives her the red lantern? It seemed like it was symbolic or meant a lot but it wasn't clear to me.
@hardr0ck ya the guy that was teaching her gave his blessing and he let her become his successor they were doning that street part to congratulate her on her hard work I guess I saw it and I still was confused see the movie it soo cute sad also
@hardr0ck it means that the sensei gave have the lantern he kept on his ramen house for 45 years as a symbol that he acknowledge her as his apprentice^^
@hardr0ck and lin78384, in japan giving your student something of your own which repressent yourself, is a very respectful thing. for example, it's like a sword master, giving his student, his own private sword. he gave her a the lamb&sign of his own ramen shop =)
