These interviews are great and I think this one with Linkletter, a guy who really traversed the world of radio-television, is one of the most important and insightful.

This guy was great in his era--some of his stuff was corny--even then--but he connected more with middle America than anyone I can remember.

People are Funny had a clever opening. You would see the audience turning around laughing and talking with each other and then the music would start. I was in the audience of PAF and here's how they did it. The announcer would do the warmup & would finally suggest that everyone turn around and shake the hand of the person behind them. We did that and suddenly the music started and Art would come out and the show was on the air. The audience would be surprised and laughed like crazy. ...Rowby
