violent factor: Humans are omnivores. Stfu and accept the fact. One should take a balanced diet, including vegetables, fruits and meat. Moderation is the KEY.////////////
You sound like the government with the balanced diet crap. No, humans are NOT omnivores. They are natural herbivores, meant to eat grains, seeds, fruit, vegetables, and legumes. But that's a big secret in this country. Instead it's "beef, it's what America eats," "pork, the other meat," and "got milk?" Sheesh...
@1stardancer Of course humans are omnivores. You don't need scientific research into human's autonomy or whatever, you just look at what people in general eat. If humans were natural herbivores that would certainly include the ability to digest cellulose. All natural herbivores can fairly digest cellulose.
Human cannot digest grass as it cannot satisfactorily digest raw meat. But it can absorb more energy from raw meat than from grass. Perfect example of omnivorous specie.
@SloveintzWend Yes, humans are naturally omnivores, I completely agree, but we have very large brains, which means we have the ability to overcome our nature in the name of compassion.
Anyway, what is natural about the meat industry as it stands today? Factory farming? Growth stimulants? Doesn't sound natural at all....
@TheNaughtylist What a dumb ass you are if you think that's all vegans eat. You meat eaters are getting sicker and sicker and you're too stupid to realize it. Humans are the dumbest animals on the planet.

Rationalizations are implanted in our minds by a sick society--makes us sick too. This video is the antidote - let's pull the toxic program out of our minds, wake up, free others, and create the new world! It's possible right now! Thanks Danny!!!
Here's why I am a Vegan -- Because eating vegan makes me feel great! End of story. I love animals but I have no moral issues with eating animals and I don't condemn others who do. I'm all for the humane treatment of animals but, unlike many vegans who love to ram their beliefs down other people's throats, I don't worship animals. That's what many vegans do with their militant and forceful beliefs. PETA is nothing but a hate group.
It's tiring reading things like, "If you were in the the jungle and a lion decided it was hungry it would eat you. Explain you idea to a lion." No vegan I know stops any animal from catching it's own prey, domestic or wild. So just quit with this lame straw man and justification for your HUMAN CONSUMPTION of dead animals. I would not stop my dog from catching her own prey but she DOESN'T so I feed her vegan dog food with everything she needs, plus olive oil, brewer's yeast and fresh garlic.
How does it feel to eat grass everyday? Not very good of a diet. If you were in a desert and there's a pack of buffaloes, you skinny ass grass eaters would just die and in your head you would say "NO IM A VEGAN". Thats why you vegans can't even survive in the wilderness. All you'll eat is grass and shit. Might aswell digest your own shit
@TheNaughtylist, We aren't in a desert. Not mature with the name calling. You come across very defensive and threatened by the concept of not eating animals, which IS COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY. Your mind is closed, I wish you well and that it will open asap.
It's so sad, I wish I could save the animals. I wish I could be vegan as well... but it's very difficult and would cause major conflict in my marriage, my husband doesnt even like me being vegetarian. That's why I try not to criticise people for eating meat, because stopping eating meat is probably as hard for them to do as me giving up dairy. Of course I only have free range eggs and that kind of thing but its not quite the same as being vegan.
I luckily own a farm where I can milk my own cow and get my eggs from chickens... They never are subject to an harsh treatment... and they have a huge farm to roam. I do everything in my power to ensure that my animals don't feel used... but that they feel needed and wanted... and loved of course :) I love you Mia ( milk cow), And Ara, Lohi, Mira, Ono, Mimi and Rain! (Chickens/hens)
@TheBahaiGirl Well, all I can say is...why are you drinking milk anyway? Cow's milk is meant for their babies, calves. Humans are the only species on the planet who continue drinking milk LONG after they are weaned, many till the end of their life.
What do you do with your animals you treat so well? Do you then slaughter them for food? Probably...
@1stardancer Oh, no, no, we're the only specie who is able to continue drinking milk. To be able to do that, means to domesticate. Ants have domesticated Aphids, and they are drinking their juices.
@SloveintzWend Means to domesticate? What the heck does that mean? And have no idea what you're talking about with the ant thing.
I did NOT say we're the only species who is ABLE to drink milks. I said we're the only species on the planet who CONTINUES to drink milk LONG after they are weaned...
Dairy products are all mucus producing. Mucus causes cancer. The dairy industry wants you to continue drinking it since they make so damn much money. They want you to believe it's good for you.
I know what you said. But we're no exception, because we don't consume human milk after we are "weaned". Question is why do we consume milk of other animals, or rather not, since even animals, by chance, consume every possible food sources, including milks of other animals.
Enough of that dairy industry, let's rather ask ourselves why humans actually started drinking milks of other species, surely not because of some dairy industry capitalists thriving in USA.
@SloveintzWend Good question...why we started drinking milk...period? But the dairy industry does brainwash the public into thinking that they "need' milk, you know, for strong bones and teeth. Meanwhile, it's packed with hormones, antibiotics, pesticides, and the FDA allows up to 750 MILLION pus cells in each liter of milk. Yuk!
@1stardancer To domesticate it means, when you try to milk the auroch female, it results in milk, not in severe injuries or even death. You should have some idea about the ants.
i think that any sort of animal cruelty to benefit or profit from is wrong and should be illegal. the truth is that not enough people will allow them selves to see the problem. they would rather pretend animal abuse isnt there or make up reasons why they cant help. its a sad situation. you should google corridor of cruelty. its more along the lines of dog abuse but it really opened my eyes.
porolita, I saw this video shared on a blog I follow )! I had never seen it off of your youtube channel, so seeing it on the blog was the first time I saw it, when I saw it was made by you I was so impressed! Great video! It really gets the message of veganism out there in a powerful and wonderfully artistic way. This is my favorite form of activism. Go you!
Such a lovely video..love the way you've put it all together. Yes dogs do fight naturally but it's about territory or status in the pack ie : wild dogs not putting 2 dogs in a caged pen & egging them on to fight each other that is totally unnatural & just a stupid & sick human interference. Anyway, love your vid...it is most inspiring ! Thanx ♥
If people are complaining about this video. Then they haven't watched the other YouTube videos showing animals screaming in pain for scientists to stop them from hurting them. all night and day. Or the baby elephants stretch chained in dark solitary confinement 24 hours a day away from their mothers. To break their spirits with torture.. Or the animals screaming while Chinese slowly rip their skins off from their little bodies for someone to wear their skin for ugly "fashion".
though a dog sees this the dog probraly thinks "i need meat..its my diet" dogs have a natrual balance...well..sometimes..the dog with the cone probraly had a serius rash so veternarians put it on to not scratch...it can cause a really bad tissue cut.. you wouldnt want to see a dog with broken tissue. would you?
BTW Dogs fighig in the wilderness is natrual..so its not cruel. its natrual..tamed ones...thats just crap your not sopose to let that happen.. Anyway life is unfair...so we arent sopose to have whatever we want. im not a trooler.. if i seem like one..im not...
What does dogs fighting in the wild have to do with locking them in cages, mutilating them and then killing them once you're done with them? Or with viciously traumatizing them so they will attack and kill one another for the enjoyment of sick people who take bets over it?
@kaddany4644 BTW, dogs would not be dogs if we hadn't domesticated them. Usually, dogs wouldn't be in the wilderness if a human hadn't neglected it into have it run away. Dogs themselves don't have a niche outside domestic living, and dogs are usually bred to be vicious or to see another dog as an enemy. Yes Kaddany, life is unfair, but that's exactly what us vegans/vegetarians are trying to undo. Screw conforming to the unfairness.
But the canned chicken my dog eats probably suffered greatly. On the flip side my dog is an ex police dog I rescued from a room in shit hole of a house. I give him everything. You talk about animal cruelty, my dog can eat a chicken that has suffered greatly but I cant. Isn't that discrimination between animals and humans, which is what you fight to prevent?
Actually both. That is a problem of domestication. But we have a moral responsiblity to care for the animals we've brought into existence. I am not "discriminating" I am an omnivore and can make a choice. There is vegan food for dogs that supplies all their nutritional needs. It is available depending on where you live. I don't have it in my country but in the United States it is easy to get, not sure about the cost though.
But my dog doesn't have the voice to choose what he wants to eat, so I feed him what I believe is best and most natural for him to eat. By me choosing to feed him vegan food not potentially going against his wishes, as I don't know what he prefers?
As far as I've heard they like vegan dog food. But I guess each one is different.
Plus, when you think about it, food for dogs and cats is not even made of real edible animal flesh, most of it is made of processed body parts that are given by processing plants as residue.
I think it's morally excusable for a person to feed their companion animal the conventional non vegan pet food. Not justifiable, just excusable.
I really appreciate and understand what you're saying.
However my dog lets me know when he needs the toilet, he lets me know when he's hungry and I presume he would let me know if he didn't like his food. As far as I'm concerned I'm feeding him what he likes, whether its processed leftover meat or not.
By me making a choice and deciding that he is going to eat vegan food from now on, because he has no voice of his own... is that not breaching his animal rights?
But if he didn't eat his food then of course I would find him an alternative. What I'm saying is that from my knowledge the most nutritious and natural thing for a dog to eat is meat, do you agree?
Cats on the other hand, cannot thrive on a vegan diet. Not all of them. I've met people who feed their cats vegan and are ok, but others have failed bringing great physical consequences for the cats and often end up in death.
This is not about what we do or don't have a "right" to eat. It is about a choice, that involves taking part in a horrible system or do your best to stop it. Do you understand now?
If I were looking at it from your point of view I could very much see the humor in what you said. But the reality of the inhumanity that is inflicted upon non-humans is too heartbreaking to laugh at. At least for me, anyway.....
I would like to gather support for people like me who believe in Vegetable Rights. It is cruel and inhumane to eat vegetables. They have no thoughts or feelings, so we should take even more care in protecting their rights to exist. If they don't know they have rights, that is all the more reason for us to bestow rights upon them!! Join me to help rid the world of these vegetable hate crimes being committed by the vegetarian community!
I know you're probably just trying to be funny. But people who eat meat are actually eating many more times the amount of vegetables that us vegans do. Unless of course you think the animals you eat feed on thin air LOL
it's always hard to convince people why i'm a vegetarian, (hoping to soon become a vegan:>) but now all i have to do is show them this video!!!!! thank you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i am vegetarian, but i really want to try to be vegan. it seems hard though. like, i wonder what a healthy diet would be for a vegan? i know my i can do it for sure, i just want to know how?? i really want to.
im a vegetarian. i really wanna b vegan but im gonna take it slow. i definatly will b vegan in the longrun but not today. im a veg for the animals. and i dont support the meat district or any of the bs
ViolentFactor1928 - If you don't agree with veganism, why are you commeting on a vegan video? Porolita22 never approached you and imposed her beliefs on you, so why are you doing so on her?
Whether humans are omnivores or not, the fact that human beings can thrive and be perfectly healthy on a vegan/vegetarian diet is still a fact.
Even if humans are natually omnivores.. the way we kill and treat animals in the 21st century is horrible. So to me, it doesnt really matter what is natural.
I love to see how vegetarians and vegans think theyre scientists...When theyre more like rotten lawyers (sustaining themselfs on flawed facts).
I train athletes TEPutnam...And i did some personal training at a gym...I met some vegan bodybuilders..And there is a big BIG difrence...Even with the ones that eat only poultry and diary.
Animal products have the biggest BV compared to veggies!
Tep, just because there were some things that we thought we knew wasnt right, doesnt mean that some things we are certain we, is false. Think of what you say before you comment, there have been things we thought we knew that werent true, but also things we knew that have been true and still are.
touche... you make very valid points and told me a lot of things i didn't know... i respect your belief and your choice to be a vegan, but i must say that i can't choose to follow your path because i guess i dont care enough about how i get my meat... i must be cold blooded and insensitive to animal cruelty, but i'll admit it... i like meat, and i believe i can consume it and still be healthy and not get colon cancer and maybe live to 100
seriously i never understood veganism... yea im against animal cruelty, but just because people are being cruel to animals is no excuse to be a vegan... veganism is just unnatural... we are biologically developed to eat meat... saying its wrong for us to eat meat is just like saying its wrong for a bear to eat a fish, and we all know thats not true
hammotox83, it might be helpful for you to do some research to clarify these issues in your own mind. I'm not at all surprised that you never understood veganism because, after all, who's going to teach you about it? Your meat and dairy subsidized schools? Your non-vegan teachers? Your meat and dairy lobbied government? Your Kraft, McDonald's, and Procter & Gamble sponsored TV stations? Non-vegan family members? No, it makes perfect sense that you don't understand veganism.
Most people don't want you to know, because it challenges (A) their profits, (B) their own personal habits, (C) their feelings of moral self-respect, and/or (D) their personal desires (convenience, pleasure, traditions, etc.). The onus is on you to do the research you need to understand these issues. Look at your comment. You didn't ask questions about what you don't understand, or request explanations for some of the confusing research you've seen.
Instead, you simply tossed out a variety of statements that demonstrate an ignorance of the issues (and which are always among the first bits of ignorance to be refuted in vegan books, websites, starter kits, etc.). Take, for example, your statement about animal cruelty. After researching veganism, you'll see that animal cruelty is only one of many reasons to go vegan. While an incredibly compelling reason, the others are also significant and well-founded.
Also, it's hypocritical to be "against" animal cruelty while supporting it every day, multiple times per day. It's like saying, "I'm against slavery, but just because people are enslaving others in cotton fields is no excuse to buy slavery-free cotton products." Well, based on your actions, you're not against slavery then, are you? Same goes for animal cruelty.
You'll also find that veganism is not "unnatural." It's not unnatural for humans nor on Earth in general.
Then you might expand your research to critical thinking and logic, and you'll discover that even if veganism was "unnatural" (whatever that means), that's still no excuse to exploit animals. That argument is based on a variety of logical fallacies. It's like saying, "It's unnatural not to eat your babies when they're weak or you're hungry." Well, excuse me, but we don't run around filming nature documentaries so we know how to behave in accordance with what's natural!
We're a sapient species (think "Homo sapiens"). Sapience means wisdom, and we're capable of making moral and ethical decisions that account for factors other than our immediate needs and desires—like going vegan to stop the exploitation of non-human animals.
Research interspecific comparative anatomy. You'll see that humans are much more like herbivores than omnivores and carnivores. Google "comparative anatomy of eating PDF" (without the quotes) and click the first link.
You wrote that "we are biologically developed to eat meat," which is obviously not true. Can we eat meat? Yes. Can we eat cow manure? Yes. Are either particularly good for us? No. Here's the thing... We CAN eat meat and our digestive systems will do the best they can with it. Think of it as a survival mechanism during food shortages back in the day.
You know, factory farms had been grinding up downer cows and "rendered" animals and blood from slaughtered animals, then feeding them back to the rest of the cows. Now, cows are clearly herbivores, but they were able to survive with that food. Why? Because digestive systems are dynamic. Your stomach doesn't say, "Oh noes, meat just came down the pipe! Time to explodez!!!1!" No, your stomach does the best it can, and then you get colon cancer. :-P
You compared humans to bears, which is an invalid comparison. Humans are not obligate carnivores nor even obligate omnivores. So in addition to the logical fallacies of that statement, there are millions of vegans throughout the world, including bodybuilders and Olympic athletes, thriving without animal products. Up until recently (the last several centuries), the great bulk of humanity has sustained itself on a primarily plant-based diet.
Finally, there's the last line of your comment: "[...] and we all know thats [sic] not true." For a while, we all KNEW that Earth is flat and the Universe revolves around our tiny planet. For a while, many people KNEW that blacks were inferior to whites. For a while, many people KNEW that smoking was not harmful. For a while, you KNOW that going vegan is like a bear being deprived of its fish dinner. I just hope that what you KNOW doesn't stop you from learning what IS.
In some countries there might be, but that's not the main point of the pictures. The thing is many people treat their companion animals as objects, and neglect them. Selling them in pet stores is horrendous, the way they breed them is cruel to the core. Google the term "puppy mill" and you will see what I mean.
Keep speading the word... again, this is one excellent message...(more tears) please share far and wide and keep up the great work! Everyone should watch this ... it should be mandatory!
To be a vegan is to disagree - to disagree with the course of things today. Starvation, world hunger, cruelty, waste, wars - we must make a statement about these things. Veganism is my statement. I think it is a good one.
As vegans, we can unequivocally say that we do not directly and significantly contribute to the INTENTIONAL KILLING of billions of animals every year for their flesh or skins.
Great video! This tels the many reasons why I am a vegan. Yet there are SO many reasons why. I don't think it can be put on a short video. It would take ALL day!
Very powerful video. I stand with you on this issue. Wouldn't our world be a much better place? Thankyou very much for posting and speaking out and thanks to my friend dianedi for sharing with me.
great video, very emotional - I am happy you made it :) both animals and humans should have rights to freedom and life without neglect, abuse and slavery
Good, but what about the spiders? creepy crawlers that go around in your house? termites? black widows? how are they so different from cows, dogs, or cats? if you're a vegetarian, beliving about animal rights, then saying something different about bugs makes you look hypocritical no matter how you look at it. Overall, I understand your point, but i don't agree, I am a christian, but a carnivore.
Hmmm.. you can't be a carnivore being a human. We are oportunistic feeders... omnivores if you wish. Carnivores like lions, kill their prey and eat the meat raw. Their diets are no more than that. Do you feed on raw flesh alone? I think not.
And I don't kill bugs on purpose, ever, not even cockroaches, that give me the creeps LOL.
greattt videoooo... people should learn about thiss... I may not be vegi but I make's me want to do lots of things to help animals in so many ways =) Thanks
Really?..... Wake up America

TheBahaiGirl 1 year ago
@TheBahaiGirl Well, all I can say is...why are you drinking milk anyway? Cow's milk is meant for their babies, calves. Humans are the only species on the planet who continue drinking milk LONG after they are weaned, many till the end of their life.
What do you do with your animals you treat so well? Do you then slaughter them for food? Probably...
1stardancer 1 year ago
@1stardancer Oh, no, no, we're the only specie who is able to continue drinking milk. To be able to do that, means to domesticate. Ants have domesticated Aphids, and they are drinking their juices.
SloveintzWend 1 year ago
@SloveintzWend Means to domesticate? What the heck does that mean? And have no idea what you're talking about with the ant thing.
I did NOT say we're the only species who is ABLE to drink milks. I said we're the only species on the planet who CONTINUES to drink milk LONG after they are weaned...
Dairy products are all mucus producing. Mucus causes cancer. The dairy industry wants you to continue drinking it since they make so damn much money. They want you to believe it's good for you.
1stardancer 1 year ago
@1stardancer
SloveintzWend 1 year ago
@SloveintzWend Good question...why we started drinking milk...period? But the dairy industry does brainwash the public into thinking that they "need' milk, you know, for strong bones and teeth. Meanwhile, it's packed with hormones, antibiotics, pesticides, and the FDA allows up to 750 MILLION pus cells in each liter of milk. Yuk!
1stardancer 1 year ago
@1stardancer I know that food produced by industries is poisonous. You should also look in what they put in vegetables and fruits.
It's not a good question because answer is fairly simple: They were hungry.
SloveintzWend 1 year ago
@1stardancer To domesticate it means, when you try to milk the auroch female, it results in milk, not in severe injuries or even death. You should have some idea about the ants.

i think that any sort of animal cruelty to benefit or profit from is wrong and should be illegal. the truth is that not enough people will allow them selves to see the problem. they would rather pretend animal abuse isnt there or make up reasons why they cant help. its a sad situation. you should google corridor of cruelty. its more along the lines of dog abuse but it really opened my eyes.

That is a picture from inside a research lab. Do you really think all that perfectly cut off tissue from his body was an accident? It wasn't.

BTW Dogs fighig in the wilderness is natrual..so its not cruel. its natrual..tamed ones...thats just crap your not sopose to let that happen.. Anyway life is unfair...so we arent sopose to have whatever we want. im not a trooler.. if i seem like one..im not...
kaddany4644 1 year ago
What does dogs fighting in the wild have to do with locking them in cages, mutilating them and then killing them once you're done with them? Or with viciously traumatizing them so they will attack and kill one another for the enjoyment of sick people who take bets over it?
I don't understand.
porolita22 1 year ago
Exactly thats what i mean...well i picked it up by one of those photos you posted...
kaddany4644 1 year ago
@kaddany4644 BTW, dogs would not be dogs if we hadn't domesticated them. Usually, dogs wouldn't be in the wilderness if a human hadn't neglected it into have it run away. Dogs themselves don't have a niche outside domestic living, and dogs are usually bred to be vicious or to see another dog as an enemy. Yes Kaddany, life is unfair, but that's exactly what us vegans/vegetarians are trying to undo. Screw conforming to the unfairness.

I bet if you gave that starving Ethiopian a choice between a salad and a steak he would choose the steak.
I have a pet dog, is that cruel? I feed him canned meat every day because that is his diet, that is what he is built to eat, is that cruel?
Aural6 2 years ago
Most of us are not starving, and have a choice, so it is a more compassionate one then why not?
And dogs, like cats, rely greatly on animal protein but we don't. We actually thrive and live better on a plant based diet.
porolita22 2 years ago
But the canned chicken my dog eats probably suffered greatly. On the flip side my dog is an ex police dog I rescued from a room in shit hole of a house. I give him everything. You talk about animal cruelty, my dog can eat a chicken that has suffered greatly but I cant. Isn't that discrimination between animals and humans, which is what you fight to prevent?
Aural6 2 years ago
Actually both. That is a problem of domestication. But we have a moral responsiblity to care for the animals we've brought into existence. I am not "discriminating" I am an omnivore and can make a choice. There is vegan food for dogs that supplies all their nutritional needs. It is available depending on where you live. I don't have it in my country but in the United States it is easy to get, not sure about the cost though.
porolita22 2 years ago
But my dog doesn't have the voice to choose what he wants to eat, so I feed him what I believe is best and most natural for him to eat. By me choosing to feed him vegan food not potentially going against his wishes, as I don't know what he prefers?
Aural6 2 years ago
As far as I've heard they like vegan dog food. But I guess each one is different.
Plus, when you think about it, food for dogs and cats is not even made of real edible animal flesh, most of it is made of processed body parts that are given by processing plants as residue.
I think it's morally excusable for a person to feed their companion animal the conventional non vegan pet food. Not justifiable, just excusable.
porolita22 2 years ago
I really appreciate and understand what you're saying.
However my dog lets me know when he needs the toilet, he lets me know when he's hungry and I presume he would let me know if he didn't like his food. As far as I'm concerned I'm feeding him what he likes, whether its processed leftover meat or not.
By me making a choice and deciding that he is going to eat vegan food from now on, because he has no voice of his own... is that not breaching his animal rights?
Aural6 2 years ago
If he didn't like it and you made him starve rather than giving him the alternative then yes, I think that would be abuse :)
porolita22 2 years ago
But if he didn't eat his food then of course I would find him an alternative. What I'm saying is that from my knowledge the most nutritious and natural thing for a dog to eat is meat, do you agree?
Aural6 2 years ago
Sure!
porolita22 2 years ago
Cats on the other hand, cannot thrive on a vegan diet. Not all of them. I've met people who feed their cats vegan and are ok, but others have failed bringing great physical consequences for the cats and often end up in death.
This is not about what we do or don't have a "right" to eat. It is about a choice, that involves taking part in a horrible system or do your best to stop it. Do you understand now?
porolita22 2 years ago
the reason the vegan cats died is that vegetables do not have the amino acid torine an absolutely essential nutrient for felines.

One should take a balanced diet, including vegetables, fruits and meat.
Moderation is the KEY.
ViolentFactor1928 2 years ago
stfu? how about you take your own advice? You are blocked now, for being so disrespectful.
porolita22 2 years ago
ViolentFactor1928 - If you don't agree with veganism, why are you commeting on a vegan video? Porolita22 never approached you and imposed her beliefs on you, so why are you doing so on her?
Whether humans are omnivores or not, the fact that human beings can thrive and be perfectly healthy on a vegan/vegetarian diet is still a fact.
btwSTW 2 years ago
Even if humans are natually omnivores.. the way we kill and treat animals in the 21st century is horrible. So to me, it doesnt really matter what is natural.

hammotox83 2 years ago
You don't sound too sure of yourself. Maybe you should give it some more thought.
xedgexpax 2 years ago
seriously i never understood veganism... yea im against animal cruelty, but just because people are being cruel to animals is no excuse to be a vegan... veganism is just unnatural... we are biologically developed to eat meat... saying its wrong for us to eat meat is just like saying its wrong for a bear to eat a fish, and we all know thats not true
hammotox83 2 years ago
(Part 1 of 10)
hammotox83, it might be helpful for you to do some research to clarify these issues in your own mind.
TEPutnam 2 years ago 2
(Part 2 of 10)
Most people don't want you to know, because it challenges (A) their profits, (B) their own personal habits, (C) their feelings of moral self-respect, and/or (D) their personal desires (convenience, pleasure, traditions, etc.). The onus is on you to do the research you need to understand these issues. Look at your comment. You didn't ask questions about what you don't understand, or request explanations for some of the confusing research you've seen.
TEPutnam 2 years ago 2
(Part 3 of 10)
Instead, you simply tossed out a variety of statements that demonstrate an ignorance of the issues (and which are always among the first bits of ignorance to be refuted in vegan books, websites, starter kits, etc.). Take, for example, your statement about animal cruelty. After researching veganism, you'll see that animal cruelty is only one of many reasons to go vegan. While an incredibly compelling reason, the others are also significant and well-founded.
TEPutnam 2 years ago 2
(Part 4 of 10)
Also, it's hypocritical to be "against" animal cruelty while supporting it every day, multiple times per day.
TEPutnam 2 years ago 2
(Part 5 of 10)
Then you might expand your research to critical thinking and logic, and you'll discover that even if veganism was "unnatural" (whatever that means), that's still no excuse to exploit animals. That argument is based on a variety of logical fallacies. It's like saying, "It's unnatural not to eat your babies when they're weak or you're hungry." Well, excuse me, but we don't run around filming nature documentaries so we know how to behave in accordance with what's natural!
TEPutnam 2 years ago 2
(Part 6 of 10)
We're a sapient species (think "Homo sapiens").
TEPutnam 2 years ago 2
(Part 7 of 10)
You wrote that "we are biologically developed to eat meat," which is obviously not true. Can we eat meat? Yes. Can we eat cow manure? Yes. Are either particularly good for us? No. Here's the thing... We CAN eat meat and our digestive systems will do the best they can with it. Think of it as a survival mechanism during food shortages back in the day.
TEPutnam 2 years ago 2
(Part 8 of 10)
You know, factory farms had been grinding up downer cows and "rendered" animals and blood from slaughtered animals, then feeding them back to the rest of the cows. :-P
TEPutnam 2 years ago 3
(Part 9 of 10)
You compared humans to bears, which is an invalid comparison.
TEPutnam 2 years ago 3
(Part 10 of 10)
Finally, there's the last line of your comment: "[...] and we all know thats [sic] not true." For a while, we all KNEW that Earth is flat and the Universe revolves around our tiny planet.

DJHyperRhythm 2 years ago
Hmmm.. you can't be a carnivore being a human.
