I am processing 6-8 deer a year, give or take. Is this machine enough for that duty? I have been using a 10 year old grinder from ACE and its slow! A lot of physical work! Do you recommend going larger then #8? Just what I have seen on your video, the grinding ability makes it look heavenly compared to my machine. :-P
I wouldn't want to process more than 100 pounds at a time on this grinder. I'd say this is a fine grinder for someone who wants to make some sausages or make fresh ground meats for family meals. I wouldn't look to this size grinder to process that many deer.
For 1-2 deer I think this is a great unit. It's built like a little tank and will last decades for sure. I could not justify going to a bigger one if just processing 1-2 deer or a side of beef every few months (which is my situation). The only difference I see between this and the #12 is that you need to cut the pieces up a little smaller with this one.
Has anyone ground fish (with bones) for chum with this machine? We need a unit to process deer, boar and fish...think this one will work?
