@matrixmairo Actually you can You can use the face select to assign a material just to that face, as you can select multiple faces to add color to small parts of the mesh.

The nice thing about youth teaching something is that they don't forget things nearly as easily as when an older person does. Your voice isn't annoying, and you provide enough detail for those watching to understand and learn, unlike some tutorials I've seen. actually it's not called a step by step turtorial. those tutorials show you how to achieve a specific effect or product in a step-by-step manner. You simply pointed out and described the most basic coloring option for objects in blender. No step 1, step 2, etc.

It's as if you watch professional tutorials and remake them dumbed down.

If you've even WORKED with the bleeding program, you'll know that there are a hundred times more options than on a Paint Program.

This program confuses almost everyone in the beginning. That is a fact. These tutorials allow everyone to learn how to use it, as it doesn't really have CLEAR instructions of its own.

And yes, if you want to learn the more advanced stuff, go to the later tutorials. These are still early stages, dumbass! Live with it!

Haha! You completely missed the point. But that's ok.

If he's HELPing you, then by all means he's fulfilling his purpose. But that doesn't change the fact: He doesn't really know what he's doing. Ask him to create a simple mesh with a texture... let's say a deer head or something like that. Add normal mapping and possibly raymir mapping for the eyes and antlers. If he can do that, then he knows a bit about blender, cuz that's what real 3d modelling is, not physics and water and hair etc etc

He's teaching us what each of the options on the program do, at LEAST. I can already create simple, yet fun animations using basic shapes (off the top of my head) from watching these very user-friendly and helpful videos.

I'm sure, if given a challenge, this guy would not disappoint. Maybe you shoul go to his forum and ask him to make a deer's head, if you really care about it that much.
