Lmao! My hair in one year in the front not flat ironed and pulling it down is just at the top of my lip, and in the back just at the top of my shoulder. Your hair grows really fast, my daughter's hair is similar to your hair and she just laughs at me when I do length checks on my hair. I always stretch it and tell her while cracking up of course you jealous of my length, and she just falls out,lol. her, my youngest and myself are all journing together. Love yours, it so beautiful.

At the beginning of this summer I went natural because I want to do my own hair journey. Didn't do a big chop or anything. I measured my hair before going natural while it was still pressed and my hair is exactly 21 inches. Over the summer with out using heat on my hair & conditining it 2-3xs a week and taking hair, skin and nails vitamins my hair grew 3 inches. Im really loving being natural! @LiberianPrincess18 hair grows at the same rate of 1/2 inch/month, big chop or no big chop. length retention (which is what makes hair longer and longer because you are able to hold on to the strands of hair for longer periods of time) just depends on how well you care for your hair. also, doing a big chop just makes it easier to see growth in comparison to leaving on relaxed ends. hope this helped some :)
@crazi8gurl Thats science. But not everyone expereince the same 1/2 monthly. And its more accurate to say 6 weeks. Some do get 3/4inc growth, while others may get 1/4in per 4-6 weeks. Due to internal factors. Which culture sometimes determine this internal factors.
@leahNjacobs People wear relaxers for a couple different reasons. There are many people with naturally bone straight hair who relax/use other chemical straighteners. Sometimes they use them to soften/defrizz/etc. Maybe this ista didn't want to blow her hair out on the regular, I have her texture and used to relax for that reason. HTH :p
My hair has a lovely pattern much like yours at the root, but after that it's a dry rat's nest. The pattern becomes jumbled and frayed, like a really short synthetice wig brushed out after being worn over 2 months.
It breakes before I can see any real length change. My hair will grow, but it feels like wires, snaps and breaks off. I don't know what will soften burnt wires!..I hear you laughing,...

actually i did, it may have looked alright but it was horrible to deal with, dry, brittle, breaking, tangled like crazy when my hair never tangled. I wanted healthy hair and i didn't see the point in dealing with that :)
@YayFlannigan wheather you have color damage, heat damage, over processing damage-you have to cut it off. no amount of protein treatments or conditioner will revert hair after that.Some people chose to just trim it little by little but damage in th form of split ends can spread up your shaft and cause MORE damage-she did the right thing to save her hair and obviously it grew back quickly and lovely :-)

Your hair is just like mine! What products do you use for your curls? I use coconut oil and I leave in Curls coconut sublime conditioner in my hair. I use the Curls organic hair care line. I'm just starting to use castor oil to thicken my hair. Happy growing!
Thanks i usually alternate between Rusk, Tresemme and Paul Mitchell lines and my hairs usually in a co-washed wash an go so conditioner is the only product i need with the occasional shampoo and conditioning gel :)

My hair has a lovely pattern much like yours at the root, but after that it's a dry rat's nest. The pattern becomes jumbled and frayed, like a really short synthetice wig brushed out after being worn over 2 months.
It breakes before I can see any real length change. My hair will grow, but it feels like wires, snaps and breaks off. I don't know what will soften burnt wires!..I hear you laughing,...

hello, you have inspired me to start wearing my hair all natural..my hair is very identical to your hair type. actually i did, it may have looked alright but it was horrible to deal with, dry, brittle, breaking, tangled like crazy when my hair never tangled. I wanted healthy hair and i didn't see the point in dealing with that :)

@YayFlannigan wheather you have color damage, heat damage, over processing damage-you have to cut it off. no amount of protein treatments or conditioner will revert hair after that.Some people chose to just trim it little by little but damage in th form of split ends can spread up your shaft and cause MORE damage-she did the right thing to save her hair and obviously it grew back quickly and lovely :-)

Your hair is just like mine! What products do you use for your curls? I use coconut oil and I leave in Curls coconut sublime conditioner in my hair. I use the Curls organic hair care line. I'm just starting to use castor oil to thicken my hair. Happy growing!

Thanks i usually alternate between Rusk, Tresemme and Paul Mitchell lines and my hairs usually in a co-washed wash an go so conditioner is the only product i need with the occasional shampoo and conditioning gel :)
I heard that Curls conditioner is suppose to be amazing so I may have to go out and try it. HHG too!
