@idmji89 The first time I saw this I was also disappointed at the ending, but having watched it again, I changed my mind. With this ending, we can see that they both did stil love each other. Bill died peacefully (of sorts) and it's much more emotional because of that. I think because we'd seen so much over the top violence this just rounds it off nicely. The bride felt for bill something she felt for noone else in the squad and his peaceful death reflected that.

Also, Bill just accepts his fate this way. Part of me expected him to try and take her out one last time but he didn't. It's like he's taken Budd's advice about she deserves her revenge and accepts he's done her wrong. In a way, I suppose Bill redeems himself by just accepting it's over. He also had a death that he would never have expected (like elle says in Vol 1, assassins rarely have peaceful death). The Bride treated Bill with a dignified death that he didn't offer her when he shot her.

Because Bill is all about "old school." If he tried to prolong his life after having lost in such honorable fashion, he would be less of a man (much less). He couldn't live with himself or with his daughter that way. Plus, he'd probably forget sooner or later and die in the middle of the night while walking to the bathroom. Not a great way to go.

I believe the theory is that it matches the heart's rythem, and in the process of that puts pressure at a time when the heart valves are either at their weakest or fullest causing one of the major arteries to rupture.

Any physical exertion there after would result in cardiac arrest or death. So he would have died anyways, just would take a little longer :D
