  • hey there no idea why - but ive uploaded a new one today :D

  • 5* again. It's amazing how happy the things that would seem so small to others make us!! i remeber reading about a dad who was like a lottery winner because his kid opened a bag of crisps!! Once when I went into nursery (mainstream :-( )I was like "OMG HE WALKED PAST TWO SETS OF CROSSINGS!!!" cue funny looks "HE DIDN'T NEED TO PUSH THE BUTTONS!!!" cue more funny looks!! Our joy can be quite loston people ;-)

  • Thank you for sharing these wonderful videos. You are so good at sharing this information. It is great. What a terrific attitude you have.

  • I've heard of this. Great video!!

  • :) Thanks so much

  • Great video! I'm a social worker, and two of my clients are children autism. I've been researching communication boards for them, and this looks really promising!

  • Thanks for watching & comenting

  • I will be working with an autistic boy in January and I will be learning to use PECS. Your video is great thanks. If I'm half as positive as you I know I'll be ok. Please keep making the videos I'd love to know how you get on.

  • Best of luck with that, PECS is a great help and very rewarding when it works :)

  • Thank you for sharing your video. I teach autistic children and use PECS. I will share your video with some of the parents of my students. I think they will get a better understanding by listening to you, another parent in a similar situation.

  • Well thank you so much! That is very kind

  • I was looking for something for a friend of mine who works at an Autism Clinic in the US. This is not my thing, but I showed him your vid and he said that you are on the right track....He says good luck. He would have done this himself, but he doesn't YouTube...

  • Please say thank you to your friend for his comment

  • Designing these were fun, so was making a video for you. I did prototypes for Eyebox tools incorporated. I do hope we connect at some point

  • thank you for your comment :)

  • wow, you are a pecs celebrity!! How cool is that, helping to develope a thing that is helping so many to communicate :-)

  • We did PECS since Jr. was an infant, but we didn't know that is what it was until years later. You have such a good and healthy perspective. Research has shown that parents with your approach (how you view your children/acceptance) have children with the best outcomes. There are too many people who think acceptance means doing nothing, which doesn't have anything to do with acceptance. Wish you could be cloned.

  • Wow thank you so much! You have just made me feel quite glowy :)

But more than one me would be scary! :)

  • Good point on don't put cards in the book you are not prepared to give them. My non-verbal 6 year old is getting a pretty good grasp of asking "I want ..." and he knows where I hide some "yummy" cards;) Yeah! Slow and Steady. a personal mantra :) love it.

  • Thank you so much, the yummy cards always help to start the pecs off, but then it makes it harder in a way also :)

  • Gopod luck with the pecs. Just as we got ready to start using them My oldest had tremendous increases in speach. The littlest is not far behind.

  • Thank you so much :) good luck with your children :)
