One of the things that I most love about J.K. is that she's not afraid to kill her characters for the sake of Harry's development and to move the story forward. The story contains a war, and of course there's going to be casualties. That's one of the MANY things I hate about the Twilight series. In a war scenario, people are going to die on both sides.
