for the future, zip- when you know there is going to be a snow storm, or an ice storm or whatever you call it...take the windshield wipers off of the windshield, that way they wont freeze to your window and wont break, and it will be easier for you to scrape your front windshield. :)

Zip, If you have watched the Weather Channel or even the leading stories on Yahoo this morning....the Pacific Northwest was hit with this, too. I am sitting at home in Oregon with 9 1/2" of snow in my front yard glazed over with a sheet of ice. Tons of fun.

The crunchy ice is really pretty but I don't miss the cold. We had some freezing temps about three weeks ago here in Savannah. My husband forgot and left the sprinkler system on so we had frozen ice on our bushes and grass. It has been mid 70's this past week with lows around 50.

The ice is very pretty. I have seen photographs before of the ice by professional photographers with fancy cameras before and it's stunning. It just makes you stop and appreciate nature you know? I have also seen pictures of snowflakes under a microscope and those are stunning as well. If you haven't seen those do a google search for them.
