It is indeed Ballarat. I was there a few weeks ago. Craig's Hotel can be seen where they're armchair racing, and the theatre at the end is the Regent. However, some CGI stuff has been added in obviously. And the houses at the beginning may be in Melbourne, as they generally aren't that style in Ballarat.

Hey , I suggest you research the origin of the "ute", or "utility, it was designed by a guy called Lew Bandt who worked for Ford Australia in 1934 and built by Ford Australia, it was the first vehicle of it's type in the world.

The word UTE is the body type, not the name of the car. And the Holden and Ford are very different in their construction
