  • sounds amazing, good job

  • too much reverb bub

  • I have a lord Player Lp600 I cant find any info on the Lp600 I even Emailed Yamaha and they couldn't tell me anything about it do you have any info on it ? thanks

  • Бля, вот это круть гитара просто кайф

  • hey is ur guitar a magnum les paul copy???

  • Ive NEVER had a bad Yamaha yet.

In over 40 years of playing.

  • @thedebtsettler ..... Then you better hurry, Yamaha make great twangers. {;o)

  • how much was it?

  • EXCELLENT PLAYED and nice twanger, I found a Yamaha SL500 on ebay, and it's in the mail form japan.

    Thanks for posting. {;o)

  • I had a tonelab LE once ... but I got rid of it because I couldn't get a rich gain sound with it. I think it is more for blues playing. But this SE sounds great. Do you think there is a difference in gain settings between SEand LE ?

  • What kind of wood uses Yamaha to build the Lord player 400, 500 and 600 models???

  • Fantastic playing, great feel. Good players make anything sound real cool.

  • ALL knock off les pauls will need work,

as do some les pauls. You will definatly need new pickups. The Lindy Fralin 8k/9k humbucker set really brings guitars tone to life.

  • ive got a yamaha lord player 400 and its a great guitar the pickups have a very bright sound but at least they dont get all muddy.very well made but getting rare now you can still pick one up for under £500.

  • hey im fourteen and am starting a band to play classic hard blues and southern rock. im thinking of buying this and getting a vox wah so i have an expresion and can use the other to control the volume of like a vibe or flanger effect. i will use it with a fender hot rod deluxe im buying in the next couple of months to use with a schecter c1 hellraiser. do u think this would be a good buy

  • If you wanna play classic hard blues and southern rock, you'd probably want to avoid a korean guitar. Schecters are played out. Definitely look into the Vox Tonelab series, great pedals. and I hope you enjoy the hot rod deluxe, i have one that i simply can't get enough of.

  • The tonelab requires alot of tweaking, it took me a while to figure mine out but your best bet is to use the line 2 setting into the effects loop of your amp. the line 2 setting allows you to use a 3 band EQ to adjust your sound. until I figured that out I almost got rid of the tonelab, now I love it. also, dont scoop out the mids or go to high with your gain cause it will sound digital. hope that helps

  • wow you made that yamaha sound like a gibson

  • could some one tell me if yamahas are good cause my friend said the suck really bad and i do want a les paul even if its the badest copy ever

  • sounds a little bright for a les paul. it doesnt seem to have that buttery les paul sound. still sounds good nonetheless

  • .... just amazing..^^

  • buying a yamaha les paul copy is like buying an original les paul by gibson,

  • That's bullcrap. are you stupid?.

  • can you also send me the settings of this patch? thanks!

  • this is so good mate, amazing skill n the tone is brilliant i must try this on my tonelab :)

  • Can you tell me your setting of tonelab??

  • I added an annotation with the link to the .TLP file for this tone (use tonelab editor).

    Have fun

    stephane

  • Hello...I tried clicking your link to this file - it's corrupt! Can you please post nw one! Thanks!!

  • is that a lord player or a studio lord?

  • it's a Lord Player 600

  • I have an old yamaha LP800C I bought it from a friend who played in some show bands in japan decades ago.The guitar sounds really good but Im planning to sell it to buy any fast neck guitar I can afford.I just want to know if this guitar is still saleable nowadays and howmuch does it cost.thank you.advice please

  • I have a question, i got a guitar and i have no idea if its good or bad, it just says YAMA on the headstock, it looks exactly like a Les Paul, and it does sound good, has anybody ever heard of these YAMA les paul guitars, if you have, please let me know if you know anything about them

  • whats your settings bro's

  • hi man! I love this video, I can't stop watching/listening to it, the tone is great!

do you ever tabbed this tune?

where can I find some tab like this? It's all pentatonic, isn't it? and what kind of amp and effects are you modelling?

sorry for all the questions and thanks in advance!

  • Thanks for the kind words but in fact, i feel ashamed of what i'm playing on this one :). Yes it's mostly pentatonic with some major scales. For amps and FX download the .TLP file i mentionned earlier.

  • hey man AMAZING SOLO could you tell me what amp you was using?

  • thats amazing....

i use a tonelab se i love it

  • wow how did you get that fast and smooth (more importantly!)

  • can u pleas give me all the information on the equalization and the amp en effects an stuff u use on your tonelab se ;D i would really like to know it sounds so good :D and nice played :D your very tallented

  • Dude, how much this Copy LP cost? Amp settings? And how long did you practice in soloes to play this?

  • VH tone

  • Best tone I've heard out of the SE. Nice playing.

  • hi man! I love this video, I can't stop watching/listening to it, the tone is great!

  • dude, great tone

  • great sound man! can you tell me what's the preset of the tonelab se you used for this clip? thanks bye

  • not a preset, it's one i tweaked from scatch.

  • where can i get a guitar like that?

  • man ive got the same pedal, what is the equalization i dont understand nothing

  • damn son, nice sounds! you have such great control of tone and dynamics. mad props

  • Man with all these great new modelers out it's hard to justify thousands for a tube amp honestly. i want to sell all my amps now and get one of these suckers!

Can ya get them to ring out with singing feedback when you hold a note?

  • Yep, people should never underestimate Yamaha. Not all their guitars are classics, but they've never produced a bad series, I believe. And some, like this baby, and my RGZ Custom for example, are a class above the rest. At least as good as any big name. You just have to pay attention which ones are 'specials'.

  • Thats the best LP tone I've heard from any Tonelab. Could you please describe your settings, amp model etc.?

  • ive got the same lord player as this mines from 1975 or 1985 and they really are great guitars ive had 3 epiphones 2 lps and a sg and they dont come anywhere near the lord in quality of build sound or finish and all of the epiphones frets worn down pretty fast unlike the 20 or 30 year old lord player.

  • I think many people talk about this Yamaha without knowing what it really is...The word "copy" doesn't mean it's crap, it means it's a MIJ high quality guitar copying the LP design. It's not competing with Epis but with real LP. For those who know, it's a killer MIJ guitar like Tokai, Greco, Orville or Burny.

By the way, I searched a long time before grabbing one on the Bay.

  • Most new Epiphones are junk. Like you said the old 70's MIJ copies can be very close to a real Gibson. I picked up a 'Salvarez' copy off of ebay for $100. The VOX Tonelab is great although a bit pricey for me. I have a vid on here using a $29.00 Korg AX3G, very good for the price, much better than more expensive units I've owned but nothing compared to the Tonelab. Yamaha has always made high quality guitars, Their SG series guitars are some of the best guitars ever made. Nice playing btw.

  • hey dude nice playin. where can i learn some nice runs like that?

  • It's not a les paul clone, it's a rip-off. for $640 you could have an Epi that plays so much better. No copies can compete w/ the real thing.

  • if u wanna give advise dont give dumb ones. epiphone is not the real deal Gibson is the real deal. btw this sound just as good as an epiphone maybe better,.

  • Epi is owned by gibson, and gibson controls them. They use gibson pickups and stuff with materials that are cheaper quality. They're really the same.

  • no not all epiphones have gibs pickups,n in my opnion epiphone is like squier to fender. cheaper and less quality. i have to admit epiphone is much better than squier but its NOT "the real thing". end of discusion!

  • No, I never said it's the real thing, but it's the closest, yet in a way it kind of is.

  • "no copies can compete w/ the real thing" is what you said. but its ok if you realize that you gave some bad advise. and for 640$ i would advise him the new fender showmaster made in korea.

  • Ya i guess i did...well i didnt mean it. but epi is owned by gibson, so you could say they're Gibsons... like saying that Lincolns are essentially Fords. I've never heard of the showmaster, but i imagine it looks boring like most fenders!

  • they do look a little the same. onlu diffrence is the painting an the fact that u can choose between 3 singles or 2 humbuckers from seymour duncan. an the painting is fucking awsome. flame style. and i keep saying the playability and sound of an ginson tops an epi.

  • ofcourse ginson is gibson hahahahahaha

  • epis pretty much suck. there are many better copies out there that boast more tone than an epi ever will

  • On the Toneab Se you have a emulation of Ac 30 and Deluxe Memory Man ????

  • Yes, check out my "U2 style" video, I use AC30 and DMM.

    see you

  • I have a tonelab SE and it doesn't sound like that:( damn

  • Hi,

    thanks for kind comments ;)

For those who liked this sound, you'll find it there :

    h t t p : / /stephane . ferrando . free . fr / Media / Sons / tonelabse / ToneLabSE.TLP

    regards

    stephane

  • great playing man. how much was that guitar

    ?

  • Thanks my friend.

I bought it used for $640 ; it's an old guitar (some say '85) but in incredible condition. A great LP, period !

  • Hey, great sound....very cool style.....

  • Can u mix 2 or more efects like a chain with the tonelab? I mean, a distortion with a wah, a clean sound with a chorus, or maybe a distortion with reverb and delay? and store diferents settings each with a diferent volume? (like for a solo).

  • Yes ! you can do all that with some limitations : you can only have one virtual pedal before the virtual amp so if you choose a wha, you can't add a dist pedal (but you can have distortion by overdriving the amp !)

  • hey man first off great fuckin tone...and great playing also...may i ask wat brand your clone les paul is... doesnt sound like an epiphone...so im just curious...:P cheers man rock on

  • Thanks my friend ;) the LP is a Yamaha LP600, a great MIJ LP copy from the 80's.

  • have you used a preset of the tonelab? if yes, what is?

  • Thanks ! 'm not so happy about what i play but it's "one shot" ;) What you hear is just the tonelab straight into my soundcard without any post processing.

  • Awesome tone! I have a Tonelab LE. What cabinet and amp settings are you using? And what Eq settings do you have? Yes, I have it sent to "line". Thank you in advance! Good luck with your music.

  • Oh yeah, I forgot to compliment you on your playing! :P How many years have you been playing guitar?

  • U rock ! it sounds fantastic! I got a tonemab SE , but i m not able to make it sound like that! what's your configuration dude? do you use an amp? thanks!

  • Hi there, in response to your question about the sounds on the Tonelab SE , you probably have the "global" setting on "amp" when you practise using headphones. that's the default. reset it to "line" and you'll get great sounds into your fones, direct into PA or into a sound card or mixing desk. Congratulations ! it's the best in my opinion and i use it direct to PA instead of using an amp. i can travel with my rig in public transport and still wow people with my "pure and organic" tone!

  • That's the way of playing Guitar nowadays. Nice to see someone else doing it that style.
