I saw this game on ebay and i wanted to get this game but it had the graphics of the first strider did they mess it up?I want to play this version only not the first.

@atomearthmother Yep. I'll take that and raise you this: Have you also noticed that the disc content was switched? What I mean is that Strider 2 was on the "Strider" disc, and vice versa. At least, that's how it was for my version.

PlayStation 1 will never die.... every game i watch on youtube provoques me to play again... and i have the PS 2 and 3. These last ones are always in rotation..the 1st one is always plugged.

This game looks oh so awesome and it's a Playstation game. Think about if they made game with same 2D/3D style on the PS3, Xbox360 or Wii. Same goes with old style MK games.

you peaplo want a bad ass free roam game? prey to god they make one whit strider hiryu as principal, i mean like the guy has evrything ... a sword, he can fly whit his gadgets, can climb walls, has robo-tigers, robo,eagles. hes fucking fast. AMAZING OUTFIT, and his voice eevn do its a little "nii" its awesome

A nice game but... i think they made it just to make some money after Hiryu became a sucess in Marvel vs Capcom, like they cant expect that. I mean, the first Strider game is from somewhere in the 90s, Strider 2 (not by Capcom, US Gold made the game) flopped, so lets forget this and make the real Strider 2, launched just after Marvel vs Capcom, with the same sprites; everyone who palyed Strider remember how it was hard to finish, now Strider 2 is just a generic action-platform at high speed

It exist, I own it. It is Strider 2 on PS1. It's 2 disc game. In North America, there was a flaw on the discs.

The second disc that had the classic version of Strider, was actually Strider 2.

The first disc that had the Strider 2 label, was actually the classic Strider.

So, if you buy it, be aware of that if you are in North America.

It will cost you at least $40 to invest in a copy as well.

I remember this game. nice use of the MvsC sprite of Strider and 3-d effects. Not to mention you can play the original. The only downside to this game is that its too easy. Only near the end that it became challenging.
